Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 249: Chapter 248: Emboar and the Pot King

Although the Navy had acquired some Vice Admirals from the Giant Race through certain plans, the World Government remained unsatisfied as those Vice Admirals possessed their own ideas.

Their actions were greatly influenced by their preferences, and behaviors like Saul’s had already highlighted the issues.

The World Government desired obedient war machines that followed orders without question, and those giants did not meet their expectations.

Moreover, due to the powerful strength of the Giant Country, which did not adhere to the World Government, certain agreements existed between them. The plan to revive the Ancient Giant Race was thus initiated as a countermeasure.

This project was originally led by Vegapunk, but he lost interest after some time, as he believed perfectly replicating the Ancient Giant Race was impossible.

The agreement with the World Government included a clause that he could not be forced to research anything he had lost interest in, so this experiment gradually shifted to Caesar Clown.

In the end, however, they only produced some low-intelligence failures. Although they recreated the body size similar to the Ancient Giant Race, they lacked the strength of the Ancient Giants.

They couldn’t even compare to Little Oars, let alone the Continent-Puller Oars of old.

Furthermore, the World Government’s requirement was for emotionless, rule-abiding war machines, but in the end, they created low-intelligence monsters that had trouble understanding orders.

With a huge appetite and poor command execution, these creatures often couldn’t distinguish friend from foe on the battlefield. Although later iterations were better, the World Government felt that the research results didn’t justify the investment.

Thus, after a number of test subjects were produced but failed to achieve the desired results, the experiment was paused, and those test subjects were frozen underground in Punk Hazard.

Now they’ve opted for waste utilization. While these things are useless to the vast World Government and can’t compare to the regular Giant Race Vice Admirals,

for outsiders, no one could afford such experiments. Therefore, they saw this as a good condition for Kaidou.

”Sounds interesting, but they’re really tight-lipped about what we really want.” Kaidou commented on the information eavesdropped by Omanyte.

He made a new assessment of them, but their starting to raise prices indicated that they still needed a large amount of Seastone.

However, they were unwilling to offer the top price; suggesting it proactively would show desperation and weaken their negotiation position. Due to leaked information, the CP0 agents stayed at a disadvantage.

”Queen, have you heard of this thing?”

”When the research group hadn’t disbanded, Caesar had a similar idea, but I think replicating that thing is impossible. Judge thinks so too.

While I hate to admit it, in human cloning, Judge is stronger. They also said it was a failure; probably not a great thing.”

When their research group was still intact, this was merely a concept that never got implemented. After disbandment, the members went their separate ways, and Queen couldn’t clearly explain the specifics.

Kaidou planned to meet them and inspect the goods in person. While the fish he intended to catch hadn’t bitten, fishing required some finesse; relaxing and letting the line out was necessary sometimes.

”But how should we reject them this time?”

The target is a Plate or a Devil Fruit, not those giant failures. So Kaidou started thinking of rejection reasons.

”Nothing difficult, just say their goods can’t compare to ours, Queen, it’s time to prove yourself.”

”Huh? Lord Arceus, I’m not good with this stuff; it’s not my expertise.”

Though Queen had dabbled in many things, this was indeed his technical blind spot.

”No, there are things that need some rationale, and you’re just the right fit now.” By eavesdropping through Omanyte, they understood the reason for Queen’s bounty increase.

You need a reason to dismiss something; without it, it’s not negotiation but provocation. The best way to reject those failures is to prove you have something better.

For example, the genius Queen had already created something more controllable.

”You mean...?”

”That pig has been a mascot for so long; it’s time it served a purpose.”

After the giant carp and Sky Island giant serpent, transforming large-scale Pokemon was achievable. Arceus chose the Mountain God Wild Boar from Wano Kuni as the target.

As for where the pig came from, Queen already had numerous liabilities, a few more wouldn’t hurt.

...

At the residence of Hiyashi and Kojiro, near where the Mountain God Wild Boar resided, essentially a pigpen, the wild boar was ushered into a new life today.

In the past, it experienced being chopped in two and then stitched back together, and today, it learned that pigs could walk on two legs.

For the symbolic meaning of the Mountain God Wild Boar, like Elizabeth, it could switch between its original form and Pokemon form, and it was now getting used to walking on two legs.

The final evolution of Tepig, the Fire Pig Pokemon - Emboar.

Now the Mountain God Wild Boar stood like Bajie on the ground, with flames blazing around its neck, forming its mane.

With black eyebrows raised, its two arms turned black except for the hooves, and its wrists bore two red rings.

Its tail, as if styled, had a hairstyle effect resembling an afro.

Not yet familiar with the new body, it accidentally fell to the ground, but even so, its size was mountain-like, and standing at nearly 20 meters tall, it was larger than Saul.

When it managed to stand, it looked at its hands, and as its hands brushed over the neck flames, its fists ignited.

Initially fearful of the flames on its fists, it frantically tried to shake them off, but then realized they didn’t hurt, and it swung its fists toward the sky.

”Emboar, this will be your name from now on.”

”Woo-wah!”

”Alright, get used to your new body, but no using fire.”

After sending Emboar away to get used to its body, Arceus regarded Kaidou.

”This guy should be enough to handle those Ancient Giant Race failures. If what they researched can’t even beat a pig, then there’s no point in discussing a deal, right?”
