Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 209: Chapter 208: Call Me Handsome and I’ll Say Yes

Ever since establishing a connection with the Underworld through Charlotte Linlin, the Hundred Beasts Pirates have been leveraging her network, but their relationship remains strictly trade-based.

Even the islands suitable for cultivation handed over by the BIG MOM Pirates to the Hundred Beasts Pirates are no exception. Currently, there are no conflicts between them, but that’s merely because there have been no clashes of interest yet.

Once there’s a fundamental conflict of interest, neither Kaidou nor Charlotte Linlin would hesitate to turn against each other; a major battle between the two pirate crews is highly likely.

Thus, communication between subordinates is not always friendly; it’s quite common for them to hurl insults over the phone.

Moreover, Perospero is somewhat averse to the overly close relationship between the BIG MOM Pirates and the Hundred Beasts Pirates, so he regularly engages in verbal sparring with Queen over the phone.

Today, he didn’t talk back, which is really strange.

Queen could hear some explosions from the Radio Snail, and considering Perospero’s fear, he had his suspicions.

”Muhahaha, Perospero, BIG MOM’s Anorexia Nervosa acted up, right?”

He couldn’t think of any other reason that would make Perospero so agitated.

”Never mind that, where nearby do you have any fruit supplies left?”

”Call me the handsome and dashing Queen, and I’ll answer your question.”

Queen’s lips curled upwards unconsciously; he often couldn’t win against Perospero in arguments, but Perospero’s response just now confirmed his guess.

When Charlotte Linlin’s Anorexia Nervosa attacks, it’s the BIG MOM Pirates who suffer the most, after all, Charlotte Linlin attacks indiscriminately when she goes berserk.

The distance from Wano Kuni to Cake Island is quite far, even flying, Charlotte Linlin wouldn’t make it in a short time, so Queen wasn’t worried at all.

”Queen, you damn fatso, have some shame!”

”What? What did you say, the signal’s not good, how about hanging up now? I’ll give you a chance to rephrase.”

Perospero really wanted to smash the phone, but, looking at the berserk Charlotte Linlin not far away, and the gazes of his siblings, he held back.

”Hand... handsome and dashing Queen... Sir, which island nearby still has stock?”

”None, the goods have already been shipped out during this period.”

”Queen! You fucking bastard, don’t push it!!!”

”If not, you can go rob from Umit yourself; anyway, the things have been sent out, though we don’t lack your stuff.”

Even though the climate on the Grand Line allows for suitable growth areas year-round, fruit always needs a growth cycle.

The BIG MOM Pirates have priority, and the batch for them has already been sent out, the rest have already reached various places with merchant ships.

”If I could find Umit’s route, would I be looking for you!”

Actually, he really thought so, solving Charlotte Linlin’s Anorexia Nervosa issue was paramount, everything else was minor.

The goods originally for the BIG MOM Pirates were snatched, with Roger the Pirate King’s name spreading across The Sea. Even though he hasn’t turned himself in, many have been influenced by him and gone to sea.

Even pirates who were already at sea gained a mysterious confidence, wanting to challenge other rulers. A transport ship of the BIG MOM Pirates encountered newcomers to the New World.

They weren’t afraid of the BIG MOM flag; instead, they stole the ship, and those people, not recognizing the goods, sank the ship after seeing it was loaded with fruits.

This led to Charlotte Linlin, waiting for a fruit cake, not getting the food she wanted, causing her Anorexia Nervosa to uncontrollably onset.

Aside from seeking out the Hundred Beasts Pirates, their primary suppliers, they really had no other options.

Once Charlotte Linlin’s Anorexia Nervosa attacks, it’s hard to stop. Either she gets the food she wants or collapses from exhaustion. When she was a child, she destroyed the entire Giant Village because of it.

Now, with her stamina, she could destroy the entire Totto Land.

”Banana ice cream cake!”

Charlotte Linlin bit into a tower on Cake Island, realized something was wrong, and furiously threw the entire tower towards the distant crowd seeking refuge.

Katakuri’s body turned to mochi, and he exerted great effort to stop what Charlotte Linlin had thrown.

”Perospero! Think of something quick! Mom’s Anorexia Nervosa is getting worse!”

The Katakuri siblings were doing their best to minimize the destruction caused by BIG MOM, but it was merely a temporary fix, not a solution; without addressing the root cause, it won’t end.

...

”Queen! I don’t have time to joke, do you have it or not!”

”There’s a little bit of stock left, but it’ll take around 10 days to ship it from here.”

”Is there no faster way?!” 10 days? If it really took 10 days, Cake Island might be gone, this is why he’s against too much connection with the Hundred Beasts Pirates.

The delicious fruit had won Charlotte Linlin’s favor, and this kind of fruit was monopolized. A shortage coupled with a BIG MOM Anorexia Nervosa attack shows the direct impact.

”10 days is already expedited, but we can go faster, air shipping at full speed would take about a day, but...”

”I get it, handsome and dashing Queen, Sir, can you hurry up and ship it?”

”Huh? You finally admit it, but what I meant is air shipping costs extra, since you received the previous goods, what happens to them is not our concern.”

”Name your price! By this time tomorrow, I want to see bananas!” Perospero said, hanging up, feeling his blood pressure rising.

”Queen, you just wait, don’t let me find an opportunity, or you’ll get yours.”

This time, he had no choice but to accept it, as for going back on his word once they arrived? That’s impossible; not because he’s particularly trustworthy, but because if the Hundred Beasts Pirates cut off their supply, they’d be in big trouble.

However, this served as a wake-up call, they needed to prevent such situations, perhaps by storing more canned fruits, preferably with a 50-year shelf life.

Meanwhile, Queen found Zeraora, sending it within a day was beyond him. Shaina or King could do it flying at full speed, but King was out, and asking Shaina might result in getting kicked out.

So, Zeraora became the most suitable candidate.
