Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 212: Chapter 211: The Beginning of Yamato’s Ordeal, Oden’s Return

Even though she understood some Chansey language, the communication now felt completely different.

Previously, she could only roughly grasp what Chansey meant, but now she could understand the nuances, including what Milcerys from Jack and Maria were saying.

”This is...”

”The Power of the Evergreen. Its abilities don’t stop here; you just need to take your time to develop them.”

Understanding the voices of other Pokemon, communicating with them, healing their wounds, and enhancing their power in battle — these are the abilities brought by the Power of the Evergreen.

This power originally emanated from the Viridian Forest, but for Arceus, doing such things is not difficult.

However, at three years old, she could only achieve these feats for now; she hadn’t grasped the other powers yet.

Streusen’s meticulously crafted cake was delicious, and Yamato ate until her stomach was round. As for cavities, this world can repair teeth just by drinking milk, so cavities don’t stand a chance.

Teeth are extremely hard parts of the body, and a cavity that could damage Yamato’s teeth probably hasn’t been born yet.

Having just received the Power of the Evergreen, she seemed to have a lot to say, but when bedtime arrived, she was sung to sleep by Chansey.

She had recently developed a resistance to the singing. At first, one Chansey was enough to put her to sleep, but now it required a chorus.

The next day, in her dream, she had just dreamed of finding many Plates for Arceus when she felt herself being lifted out of bed by someone.

”Father?”

”Get up, Yamato. Your training is about to start.”

”Uh... But it’s not even daylight yet.”

”That’s right, it’s certainly not daylight. There’s still half an hour until sunrise. You have to complete the objectives I set for you before the sun rises, or you won’t get any meals today.”

”Get her dressed quickly, or she’ll waste her own time. Arceus should have mentioned this to you.” Kaidou then issued his instructions to the Chanseys.

”Lucky...”

Arceus had given his orders earlier, and even though the Chanseys felt sorry, their hands didn’t stop, quickly helping her change into her sportswear.

As for those bizarre outfits Kaidou had the tailors in Wano Kuni make, Arceus outright rejected them. He considered those large clothes meaningless and a hindrance.

The mixed fabric made from Eldegoss and Whimsicott cotton was extremely comfortable and more suitable for close-fit wear.

...

On the rooftop of Ghost Island, Yamato stood there at a loss, while the sun was still below the horizon. Then she saw Agent 2.0 being thrown beside her.

”Pick up your weapon and start running! Without my orders, don’t ever stop. Push your body to the limit until you have no strength left. Now, immediately, start running!”

Under Kaidou’s insistence, Yamato was forced to run. However, Kaidou realized he had made a mistake by underestimating Yamato’s stamina.

Drinking Miltank milk, eating Chansey eggs, and some special Berries as a dietary supplement, her physical strength exceeded Kaidou’s expectations.

Initially, he didn’t expect Yamato to meet his training goals, thinking they were designed to test her limits. Only by constantly pushing the boundaries can one become stronger.

According to his expectations, Yamato should have already fainted by now, but in reality, she was just panting heavily, clearly still with energy to spare.

After glancing around, Kaidou casually picked up some rocks and threw them at Yamato’s side.

”Speed up! You’re slowing down. If you slow down any further, I won’t miss next time!”

...

Before sunrise, Yamato completed her physical training. Her sweat-soaked hair stuck to her face in strands, but despite her heavy panting, she remained conscious and stood her ground.

”Very good, take a 10-minute break. After that, have breakfast. You have one hour of rest before the morning training begins.”

The training had just started, and he needed to personally assess how much Yamato could endure. After a while, he could delegate the task to others. Actually, Arceus’s abilities were better suited for training Yamato.

Whether it was creating obstacles or using other special abilities, Arceus had a greater advantage in physical training.

But he thought Arceus wouldn’t have the heart, so he personally tested Yamato’s limits, which is why Arceus hadn’t been around today.

”Lucky..”

”Lucky~”

At breakfast, seeing the exhausted Yamato, the Chanseys were deeply distressed. Jack and Maria were also curious about what had happened to Yamato, but as soon as they started asking, they caught Kaidou’s attention.

”I almost forgot about you two. You’ll join in as well. It’s time to start your training.”

Thus, the number of trainees went from one to three, but their intensity was much lower compared to Yamato. In terms of physical strength, even though Jack was a Fishman, he couldn’t compare to Yamato at her current level.

Moreover, while the Power of the Evergreen healed Pokemon, it also affected humans to some extent.

Although her Power of the Evergreen hadn’t completely awakened, it was continually repairing her body internally, allowing her to undergo more intense training.

”Keep going. Is this the best you can do? You want to help your adoptive father with just this level? You’re far from ready, Yamato!”

Day after day, the training continued without stopping since it started. She cried and shouted but never gave up.

Arceus’s previous words and Kaidou in training deeply influenced her.

As she adapted to the intensity of the training, Arceus, who had been absent for some time, returned.

”Her growth exceeded expectations. You’ve put a lot of effort into her, and her future potential looks far greater than I imagined.”

”Have you reached her limit?”

”Almost. The current intensity is just right for her. From now on, just gradually increase it, leaving it in your hands. Don’t hold back, otherwise, all previous efforts would be in vain.”

”Don’t worry. I won’t go easy on her now.”

Nevertheless, Kaidou didn’t fully believe this last part, or Arceus wouldn’t have left the initial training.

As time drew to the close of 1497, Yamato’s training had become routine, and on this day, the Golden Jackson brought Kozuki Oden to the vicinity of Wano Kuni.

Kozuki Oden didn’t return to the Whitebeard Pirates as promised after a year but instead went back directly to Wano Kuni. His journey with Roger had brought significant changes to his perspective.

On the beach in Kuri, Kozuki Oden appeared alone. After many years, he finally returned to this unrecognizable Wano Kuni, where he was supposed to inherit the title of General...
