Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 202: Chapter 201: Sky Island Changes Hands and the Master of the Sky

”Apayado is returned to the Shandia People, Angel Island remains self-governed by you, but you are not allowed to establish armed forces. You are required to collect and cultivate a fixed quantity of Sky Island Shells each year, and most importantly, you are never to call yourselves gods. Any other questions?”

Some time later, Gan Fall, who had just regained consciousness, didn’t have the chance to tend to his injuries before Mandfeish issued the final ultimatum.

”Why are you people from the Blue Sea interfering in the conflicts of Sky Island?”

Gan Fall did not answer Mandfeish’s question. Instead, he questioned him, but the consequence was a kick to his chest from Mandfeish.

”You are the defeated. I am informing you, not waiting for your questions. You just need to answer me: do you understand or not, or you might try our other means.”

Arceus, along with Yamato and others, entered Apayado, intending to check out Shandora’s situation.

Meanwhile, Mandfeish and other ordinary members were left behind here. They were tasked to take over the rule of Sky Island before Arceus returns.

Regardless of other matters, Gan Fall now holds significant influence on Angel Island. His surrender represents an attitude that can save the Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew a lot of trouble.

Since they aim to transform Wano Kuni into their base of operations, the Hundred Beasts frequently intervene in its management.

But here, Sky Island is thousands of miles away. Though they plan to make it one of their territories, they will not interfere with the local people’s self-governance.

For the people of Sky Island, apart from their Divine Island Apayado being taken by the Shandia People, everything else will remain unchanged.

”God Lord!”

Witnessing the predicament Gan Fall was in, some members of his guard cried out the familiar term, only to have a gun barrel pointed at their heads.

”Did I not make myself clear? You are absolutely forbidden to use the title of god. Do you not understand? Just kill them, let them understand the consequences.”

Seeing the Sky Islanders still insist on using the term, Mandfeish made a straightforward decision. He wanted to handle everything before Arceus and the others returned, using different methods than in Wano Kuni.

”Wait, stop! I’ll do as you say. Release McKinley. From now on, Sky Island has no so-called gods...”

Zeraora easily crushed them. They had no power to resist against him alone, let alone with so many others present.

At the moment, there are no casualties. Although the electric currents caused significant harm, they all survived. Without the power to resist, he didn’t want to increase casualties unnecessarily.

”It would have been better if you had agreed earlier. Release him, Mr. Gan Fall. Now, could you please announce the result to the people of Angel Island?”

”Alright, but if we’re not allowed to have armed forces, what about Sky Island’s security? What if the Shandia People retaliate?”

”You don’t need to worry about that. The Shandia People won’t attack you—that’s our agreement. As for your security, of course, it’s our responsibility.”

Saying this, Mandfeish took out a prepared flag and headed towards Angel Island with Gan Fall and the others.

...

In Apayado, the Shandia People, setting foot on their homeland again, felt quite emotional. However, after a few hundred years, it no longer looked as the tales passed down in the tribe described.

Although the Sky Islanders occupied it, they only designated it as the Divine Island and didn’t move in en masse. The freely growing plants had long changed its appearance.

They wandered through the jungle for half a day before finding the legendary Golden Land.

”There’s really gold everywhere here...” A pirate parted the vines, revealing a dim wall, which he confirmed was a large piece of gold after a few knocks.

”Everyone, if you wish, feel free to take the gold here.”

However, no pirates moved. Compared to these external possessions, their personal strength was more important. They wouldn’t act without Arceus’ order.

And for the current Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew, the gold here was somewhat dispensable. John’s treasure and the vast trade from the Hundred Beasts Fruit provided them with ample funds.

So Arceus only had them gather some damaged pieces of gold while leaving the intact buildings untouched.

...

”Godfather, godfather, where is that Golden Bell?” Yamato asked, expressing her curiosity, as she hadn’t yet seen the legendary Golden Bell. Meanwhile, the Shandia People were also searching for its location.

Relighting the lamp of Shandora was a goal they had awaited nearly four centuries to achieve. The moment it was found, the Shandia People present broke out in cheers.

The majestic sound of the bell resounded across the sky, yet amidst the cheers, a sound of friction emerged.

An incredibly large python appeared, its huge serpent eyes fixating on the direction of the Golden Bell above as if reminiscing something.

With a body length exceeding 200 meters, it was the undisputed ruler here. The people below were as insignificant as ants to it. This python, known as the Master of the Sky, even Gan Fall had no way to deal with it.

The sound of the Golden Bell was its favorite, though it had been a long time since it last heard it.

This python’s appearance also solved a problem for Arceus. Sky Island needed someone to ensure safety, but the Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew presently had no suitable personnel to station here.

With this python, the situation changed. Moreover, this python had ties with the Shandia People.

While it was listening to the bell’s sound, suddenly, something bound its body. Before it could react, more vines directly coiled around its head, pressing its massive body against the Island Cloud.

Subduing it didn’t take much effort, but it once again astounded the Shandia Chieftain.

He had heard of this python. His grandfather revered it as a serpent god, worshiped by the Shandia People hundreds of years ago, although it was eventually slain.

Its enormous body size and long lifespan led people to worship it as a deity. But in front of Arceus, it was subdued like a puppy, in almost an instant.

”From now on, you are responsible for protecting the Shandia People, obeying their commands, understand?”

”Hiss...”

”Good, as long as you understand. However, you are currently too weak. Although quite large, it should be about right.”

The Mountain God Wild Boar of Wano Kuni had not been modified yet. This python was the first giant creature he modified. This size was even larger than the Super Ancient Pokemon. Having it guard here, Paradise had little to worry about.
