Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 201: Chapter 200: The Chieftain Begins Acting Like an Insider

For Zeraora, only Arceus, who created him, can bear the name of a god. In his perception, Gan Fall is nothing more than a somewhat stronger ordinary person.

So in Zeraora’s view, Gan Fall is not worthy of the word ”god”.

”Don’t rush, Zeraora. We’re not the protagonists in this battle.” Saying this, he glanced at the Chieftain beside him. They were nominally helping the Shandia People reclaim their homeland, but they weren’t the ones declaring war.

At this moment, Gan Fall also happened to be driving his Pegasus over.

Though called a horse, it essentially only has a horse-like shape. Sky Island does not have Pegasus as an actual creature; it’s actually a Sky Spot Bird that ate the Horse-Horse Fruit.

The pink skin densely covered in black circular spots proves its race. These black spots are all over, even on the underside of its wings, just these can cause a psychological discomfort for some people.

”I am the god here, Gan Fall. Shandia People, people from the Blue Sea, why have you come here?”

”Gan Fall! Enough with the nonsense, we are here to reclaim our homeland, return Apayado to us!”

”Kodol, I’ve told you, there are many things we can sit down and discuss, no need for a big fight.”

”Alright, let you Sky Island people leave there, return Apayado to us, and the rest can be discussed.” As he spoke, he had already lifted the DIY rocket launcher on his shoulder, the barrel aimed at Gan Fall’s direction.

”That’s impossible, for centuries Apayado has become an inseparable part of Sky Island.”

”Then there’s nothing more to talk about.”

Seeing the situation of the Shandia People, Gan Fall also prepared for battle.

Though he doesn’t like fighting, an island’s manager must face the enemy.

On the White Sea, soil is extremely precious, without fixed value but with incomparable significance.

After Shandora was pushed to Sky Island, that island became Sky Island’s Divine Island, Apayado, the residence of Sky Island’s manager, ordinary Sky Island residents can’t enter freely.

So the Shandia People’s conflict is not with all Sky Island people but with Sky Island’s ruling class.

Gan Fall tried negotiating with the Shandia People, but the fundamental contradiction between them could not be reconciled.

The Shandia People want these invaders to leave their homeland, but Sky Island people are unwilling to give up so much land.

To break this contradiction, unless a stronger enemy emerges that considers both Shandia and Sky Island people as enemies, only under external pressure may their conflicts be reconciled.

For example, Enel, the force of the Hundred Beasts can also achieve this, but due to historical reasons, the Hundred Beasts chose the Shandia People’s side.

Like before, negotiations broke down, Gan Fall expected the following events to be no different from before, both sides fought a great battle, each paid some casualties and left regretfully.

But today’s outcome was different.

Those foreign Blue Sea people ended this battle in a crushing manner, not just the Sky Island people, even the Shandia People hadn’t reacted.

Before they could contact the enemy, the battle was already ended by Zeraora.

Zeraora, transformed into lightning, traversed the Sky Island people’s ranks, whenever his figure flashed through a region, groups of people fell under the lightning’s attack.

Even the strongest among them, Gan Fall, made no difference, if anything, ordinary people were directly paralyzed by Zeraora’s discharge, Gan Fall required an extra kick.

”Too weak, how can you call yourselves gods, let alone a god’s guard?”

Zeraora originally didn’t intend to intervene, Mandfeish could handle this situation, but the Sky Island manager claimed the title of god, which to Zeraora constituted a taboo.

If their strength were somewhat higher it’d be different, after all, gods differ in power, but this level is unworthy of being compared to Arceus, the only true god in his heart.

...

”So boring, Zeraora went straight to action.”

”Indeed, Paradise’s people are still too weak.”

Though Sky Island is somewhat different from the Grand Line, its location is ultimately over here, which isn’t a problem to mention.

Since Zeraora disembarked, these pirates had already put away their weapons because they understood the outcome.

This is the result of cadre-level crushing, if without strong individual force to counter the opponent’s strong ones, numbers mean nothing.

Compared to these pirates’ normalcy, Setsuna’s condition became strange.

”Setsuna sis, what’s wrong?”

”Nothing... I’m just wondering what the meaning of my journey is....”

Earlier in Demon Valley Town, she had just dealt with one opponent, and the rest were all handled by Mandfeish bringing his crew.

Now on Sky Island, Zeraora acted even quicker, not even a minute and the enemy was wiped out.

She remembered someone telling her to come practice before setting out, now it seems she’s practiced emptiness.

And the Shandia People’s gaze became more reverent, yesterday Mandfeish single-handedly defeated all the warriors, it was shocking enough for the Chieftain.

Now the enemy troubling the Shandia for hundreds of years was completely crushed in just a few minutes, not even the chance to counterattack, this exceeded their understanding.

”So you are the Ancient God.....”

According to ancestral legends, when the Lunarians entrusted them with keeping something, they spoke similar words.

Zeraora’s previous statements were also heard by him, now in his understanding, Arceus is another race’s deity and has already resurrected.

”Do you really only need those inconspicuous shells?”

In the battle with the Sky Islanders although unsupported, they had the ability to resist, allowing the war to last hundreds of years.

But faced with absolute crushing force, they developed a sense of reverence, akin to worshiping the giant serpent as a god back then, Shandia People worship unusually powerful beings, especially when they help them.

The homeland is returned to their hands, not even one tribesman is wounded, the battle differs vastly from his imagination.

”This is the reward for your loyalty over centuries, our conditions won’t change, the enemy is defeated, now Shandora is yours.”

People make things more reasonable through their own imagination, once the Chieftain identified Arceus as a god, this behavior became reasonable again.

The blessings freely given by gods are irreplaceable treasures for mortals, reclaiming Shandora for them is difficult, but for the other party it’s effortless.

Now his expression even looking at Zeraora had changed, this Beastman’s form might be the true Divine Envoy.

However, the matter isn’t completely over, everyone Gan Fall led was defeated by Zeraora, but within Apayado there’s hardly anyone left.

Yet many Sky Island people still reside around Angel Island, that’s where ordinary residents live, also the main shell-producing area.

Arceus doesn’t like slaughter, he can’t kill all those people, this is when Gan Fall’s role is highlighted.

As the manager of Sky Island, his surrender would better reflect an attitude.
