Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 236: Chapter 235: We Follow Procedure

”It’s not good! Vice Admiral Saul has defected! He even abducted Nico Olvia!”

The Giant Race’s enormous size may cause inconvenience, but it has its advantages. For example, when he took Olvia away, he simply held her in his palm, and no one noticed that Olvia had been taken out.

By the time they realized it, he had already seized two ships and left the branch. If he had been discovered within the branch, with Sengoku guarding it, there was absolutely no chance of success.

After all, no matter what the World Government’s orders are, Sengoku will ultimately choose to accept and execute them, even if this matter disagrees with his intentions.

Upon learning of this incident, Sengoku immediately dispatched pursuers. Saul knew the detailed plan; letting him leave like this would be a big problem.

”Saul, you can’t return to the Navy like this, can you?”

”It doesn’t matter. Since the beginning of the operation, I’ve doubted the justice of the Navy. Perhaps it aligns with their laws, but it’s too cruel, it’s not the justice I believe in.

I never intended to continue anyway, so now I can go home.”

As long as he can return home, back to the land of the Giant Race, he won’t fear anything.

Due to the Giant Race’s own strength, they have agreements with the World Government; the warriors of the Giant Race can join the Navy, the Navy can arrest Giants who violate regulations in foreign seas, but can’t take action within the borders of Giant Country.

”Alright, this is where we part. You should hurry back and notify them to escape, it might still be in time, hee-hee-hee-hee...”

Accompanied by the demonic laughter, Saul and Olvia parted ways, and Saul faced pursuit from his former colleagues, having already seen shadows of the pursuers.

Meanwhile, Olga was approaching the rendezvous point, and the Origin had already passed through the Windless Zone. This time, Yamato’s journey wasn’t as pleasant as before, although Arceus hadn’t concocted a deadly tennis ball, he did produce electric balls.

Currently, three electric balls were orbiting Yamato under Arceus’ control, their attacks completely random without pattern or target, causing Yamato quite a bit of trouble.

The power of the electric balls can be controlled, so attacks only cause brief paralysis.

”Foster Father, you’ve been influenced by Father, you weren’t like this before!”

”This time it’s genuinely for your good. My electric balls will only make you feel numb, while enemy attacks won’t be so simple.”

.....

Days later, the Origin and the Shadow Fox met at the designated location.

This was a crescent-shaped island, and both ships were within the crescent-shaped harbor. The plant growth urged by Arceus covered the hulls, so unless viewed up close, the two ships had already blended into the island.

”Olga, how large an area can your illusions cover now?”

”Centered on me, about a spherical space of two hundred meters, why, Lord Arceus, what’s the mission this time?”

”Go to another island and take some people. The process isn’t difficult, but you have to continuously maintain your illusion. Is there a problem?”

”As long as there’s no intense battle with people, my illusions can be maintained indefinitely.”

”Then there’s no problem, your only goal is to maintain the illusion, you don’t need to worry about anything else.”

Saying so, Arceus selected and led some elites and flew away, while others’ task was to remain here and avoid exposing themselves.

Under the cover of illusion, members of the Hundred Beasts Pirate Crew silently flew toward Ohara.

The warships tasked with executing the Buster Call were drawing closer to Ohara, but at this moment, CP9’s superior Spandine had already arrived at Ohara.

The World Government undoubtedly wanted to deploy more trusted personnel for this planned operation; Saul’s prior defection had led the World Government to question the Navy’s execution capabilities.

”Quick, quick, quick! Arrest all the scholars on the island, my promotion depends on this mission!”

At Spandine’s orders, a group of suited agents rushed off the ship, surrounding the Tree of Omniscience on the island.

Meanwhile, the island’s broadcast sounded the voice of a World Government official.

”Notice to all town residents, all scholars on this island are suspected of plotting to destroy the world. We will conduct a thorough search throughout the island. Uninvolved individuals should immediately bring their documents to gather at the evacuation ships on the west coast!”

The Buster Call execution wouldn’t openly inform everyone; this method was already hinting at the upcoming actions. As for the residents’ possessions on the island, those were not concerns of theirs.

Providing evacuation was the extent of what they could do; some refused to leave, but under the threat of bearing the consequences, they ultimately compromised.

...

At this time, having returned with Saul’s help, Olvia was confronting Spandine, firing at Spandine’s sleeve in an attempt to take all the blame onto herself.

However, from Spandine’s perspective, her idea seemed naive.

”Olvia, don’t be naive. Do you think the World Government targeted Ohara because of your capture? You got the sequence wrong; this order was issued even before your arrest.

You’re at most a trigger. In the past six years, the World Government has captured numerous individuals worldwide striving to reveal historical secrets, and we already have 100% evidence connecting all of this to Ohara.

Of course, even without evidence, it wouldn’t matter; Ohara is the archaeological Holy Land, after all.

Only by destroying here can those archaeologists truly comprehend the severity of their actions, understand the consequences of probing into that Blank Hundred Years!

You people truly are living enough, exploring all other histories but fixating on those hundred years. It’s all your own doing.”

”Killing the chicken to scare the monkeys...”

”That’s right, we don’t need evidence because the order is already issued, but we’re not pirates, we’re the World Government; we still need to follow some procedures. Take action!”

The agents behind followed Spandine’s instructions, easily subduing Olvia. Inside the Tree of Omniscience, all scholars were gathered by the agents onto the clearing in front of the tree.

After a detailed search, they confirmed the Tree of Omniscience was devoid of people, but after they left, there were dozens of figures inside again.

”Big sister Olga’s illusions are still so useful, they didn’t notice us even as we walked right in front of them.”

”Lord Arceus, what should we do next?”

”First, make rubbings of the Poneglyph, pack up these books, and then await the Navy’s ’signal’...”
