Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Wang Xiaohu was dumbfounded.

He didn’t dare to call Ning Chenyang ”grandpa,” especially if his father found out.

He wouldn’t just beat him up; that would be an understatement!

”How about changing the condition?” Wang Xiaohu stubbornly refused to call him, preferring to lose money instead, ”How about I pay you ten bucks?”

”No way.” Ning Chenyang insisted stubbornly this time, ”I suggested gambling money earlier, but you refused. Now that you’ve lost, you’re the one who’s scared to gamble with me. Now, you want to change the condition? No way!”

”Then what do you suggest?” Wang Xiaohu was trying to act tough, thinking if Ning Chenyang couldn’t come up with a feasible plan, he’d pretend this gamble never happened.

”How about this, I suggest something?” Sheng Xiaoguang’s eyes twinkled, ”How about this, Wang Xiaohu, you lost, so why don’t you crawl through Ning Chenyang’s legs?”

”No way.” Wang Xiaohu refused decisively, ”I’m a man! A man never crawls through someone else’s legs.”

”Empty words with no backing! Afraid to lose despite gambling! We’ll all look down on you.” Sheng Xiaoguang said disdainfully.

This sentence stirred up the kids, and they all started hooting.

Wang Xiaohu finally gave in, hearing the rising voices of everyone, he reluctantly agreed: ”Fine, I’ll crawl!”

”That’s right. If you don’t, we’ll look down on you! People who break promises, we’ll all look down on.” the kids shouted loudly.

So, under everyone’s watchful eyes, Wang Xiaohu was about to crawl through Ning Chenyang’s legs.

Ning Chenyang didn’t really want to make things difficult for Wang Xiaohu. Seeing him give in, Ning Chenyang let it go: ”Forget it! Just don’t let it happen again! From now on, be reasonable, don’t always cause trouble. Or else, I really won’t forgive you next time.”

Wang Xiaohu was already pushed this far by Ning Chenyang, so he braced himself to crawl. After all, he’d already lost face this time.

If he didn’t crawl, he was afraid his team of kids would despise him.

But Ning Chenyang suddenly said he didn’t have to crawl.

Wang Xiaohu breathed a sigh of relief: ”Alright! That’s what you said, I’m not crawling. But, don’t start saying I don’t keep my word in the future.”

”But, you also have to keep your promise. Don’t start trouble for no reason anymore. Can you manage that?” Ning Chenyang looked at Wang Xiaohu, waiting for his answer.

”Well... alright.” Wang Xiaohu, from this incident, felt a bit of admiration for Ning Chenyang, ”I won’t bully you from now on.”

”You can’t bully me anyway! You should say, from now on we all get along.” Ning Chenyang lectured Wang Xiaohu.

”Alright. We’ll get along.” Regardless of what getting along means in the future, Wang Xiaohu seriously agreed this time.

Because of this little fellow at home, Qin Jian, who hadn’t taken a break for several months, specially took time off.

Everything that needed to be done was almost done.

He stayed home for a few days to take care of his son.

This little guy, whether in terms of physique or mind, showed great potential for being a soldier, which made Qin Jian very pleased and determined to groom Ning Chenyang well.

To develop him into a top-notch soldier in the future.

Since Qin Jian was back, Yan Huan naturally didn’t need to look after Ning Chenyang.

She still had two days of vacation left, and during these days, she planned to rush to see Jason for treatment.

In the morning, she went to Ji Chuan’s dormitory and saw him packing his luggage.

”Are you going somewhere?” Yan Huan asked in surprise.
