Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

”Since your tummy hurts, little one, how about we take you back? It’s probably not good to go by yourself.” The man with a cigarette tossed away the butt and reached out with a smile to grab Ning Chenyang’s arm.

”No! No way. I need to go to the bathroom.” Ning Chenyang showed a pained expression, ”I can’t hold it anymore, it’ll come out in my pants.”

”I’ll go with you.” Sheng Xiaoguang clutched his stomach and mimicked Ning Chenyang, ”Did something go wrong with what we ate at kindergarten today? I feel so uncomfortable.”

”No way?” Bean Sprout looked puzzled, ”Why am I fine then? What’s wrong with you two today?”

This pig!

Ning Chenyang cursed Bean Sprout a hundred times in his heart.

While the kids were playing their little tricks, the adults exchanged glances with each other, pulling out handkerchiefs they had secretly prepared, ready to move.

”Ahhhhh! I can’t hold it anymore! It’s gonna come out in my pants.” Ning Chenyang couldn’t care less; the car door was right in front of him, and if they didn’t run now, it would be a problem.

It was four adults against four kids, and it looked like the kids were going to lose.

If you can’t fight, then run!

Best to conserve your strength!

Someone like Bean Sprout with a pig-brained mentality couldn’t be expected to understand anything, and Yu Ziyang’s hand was already firmly held. It wouldn’t be easy for her to escape either.

Ning Chenyang decided he and Sheng Xiaoguang should escape first and deal with it later.

Sheng Xiaoguang knew that Ning Chenyang always had tricks up his sleeve, so he had nothing to lose by following him. Then, clutching his stomach, he shouted that he needed to use the bathroom, and off he ran.

”Move!” The scar-faced old man coughed to give the order.

Within seconds, the adults covered the noses and mouths of the two kids with handkerchiefs, while another lifted them into the vehicle.

The two kids didn’t even have the strength to struggle.

”Tie them up! Gag them!” the old man commanded.

”Mmm mmm...” Yu Ziyang, being a little girl with less strength, was completely at their mercy, her hands and feet tightly bound, and her mouth stuffed with ragged cloth.

”Sixth Uncle! Two ran off.” The man with the cigarette said, ”Xiaobiao and I will go chase them down.”

This scarred old man’s nickname was Sixth Uncle.

”No need. Those kids are too sharp, they probably figured it out.” The scarred old man squinted as he spoke.

”Isn’t that gonna be trouble? What if they go and report us?”

”Chasing them down now will be even more trouble. We already caught two, we need to leave Nancheng quickly, hide somewhere for a while, then sell the kids and make some money!” The old man calculated clearly, ”If we can’t catch those two clever kids, then so be it. Traveling with them would just cause trouble. They’re not worth the hassle, let’s call it off.”

”Alright, let’s hit the road then.”

”Leave Nancheng immediately. The sooner the better!” The old man issued the order, then turned to look at the two kids, saying, ”Wrap them up! When we stop the car, buy some random stuff to hide them, so no one notices anything suspicious.”

............

”Mmm mmm... Chenyang, what do we do? Bean Sprout and Yu Ziyang were taken.” Hiding near the amusement park, Sheng Xiaoguang was scared to tears, ”My mom told me that kids get sold. Stepparents beat children harshly, only make them work and don’t feed them. I’m scared...”

”Stop crying. We have to think of a plan to rescue them now.” Ning Chenyang ripped some grass off the ground and said fiercely, ”Those villains won’t have a happy ending.”
