Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

After he finished, he suddenly realized he hadn’t brought toilet paper.

Oh no, this was bad!

Just as he was feeling down, an old man suddenly walked into the restroom.

When he saw the old man’s face, he suddenly brightened up: ”Grandpa, it’s actually you!”

The old man glanced at Ning Chenyang and grinned: ”So it’s you, little rascal! Was it you who wanted to see me perform magic tricks last time?”

”Yes, it was me!” Ning Chenyang said happily, ”I didn’t expect to see you again, Grandpa. I didn’t see clearly last time; it was really a pity not to see your magic tricks.”

”Do you like my magic tricks that much?” the old man asked.

”Of course!”

”Alright! Next time I’ll definitely show you,” the old man squatted down and said.

”Okay.” Ning Chenyang nodded in agreement, ”But, Grandpa, do you have any paper now? I found I didn’t bring any toilet paper when I used the restroom.”

”Of course I do!” The old man pulled a wad of paper out of his pants pocket and handed it to Ning Chenyang, ”Use as much as you like.”

After Ning Chenyang resolved the toilet paper issue, he pulled up his pants, stood up, and asked, ”Grandpa, when will you perform your magic tricks? Where will you perform them? I’ll definitely come to watch!”

The old man’s eyes rolled around, and he thought for a moment before saying, ”Do you have time today? Who are you here with? Your parents? Or your friends?”

Ning Chenyang said, ”I’m here with my friends. Today is Children’s Day, and the teacher brought the whole class out to play.”

”Oh, I see. Well then, never mind. You go on and come find Grandpa in the amusement park another day when you have time. I’ll definitely perform for you. If it’s not convenient for you to come look for Grandpa, we can arrange a place, how about that?” the old man asked.

”Alright then.” Ning Chenyang agreed, ”How about this afternoon?”

”Sure.” The old man smiled kindly, ”In that case, don’t come alone. Bring more of your friends; it’s safer that way! Also, Grandpa will tell you a few stories that you’ll surely love to hear!”

”Great! It’s settled then!”

”Grandpa will be waiting for you all! I won’t go home until the moon comes out.”

”Wonderful! Goodbye, Grandpa!” Ning Chenyang left, joyfully jumping up and down.

Yan Huan arrived at Ji Chuan’s house.

As soon as she entered, she saw Jason with a face full of resentment, still upset about not getting to eat roast duck yesterday.

”What’s going on?” Yan Huan noticed his mood was off and asked casually.

”Don’t mind him, he’s just craving!” Ji Chuan, seeing Yan Huan had arrived, wasted no time inviting her to sit down, ”Today we’re going to do a special session.”

”How special?” Yan Huan asked somewhat nervously.

”Sit down and dream.” Ji Chuan smiled to comfort her, ”Don’t be afraid, I’ll stay with you the whole time.”

”Alright.” Yan Huan agreed.

Seeing Yan Huan ready, Jason also pulled himself together to perform the hypnosis with Yan Huan.

Accompanied by his gentle words, Yan Huan gradually drifted into a dream.

A voice seemed to be outside the dream, constantly reminding her.

”Now go back to your childhood. Go back to the day you first went to elementary school in Nancheng! To be exact, it’s what happened after school.”

Yan Huan’s dream slowly unfolded with that voice.

She saw a little girl standing outside the big gate, and then a man approached.

But as soon as the man got close, Yan Huan exclaimed and woke up from the dream: ”It’s him!”

”Who?”

”That old man with the scarred face! But, back then, he was still young and didn’t have scars on his face!”
