Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Feng Yuzhi was grinning from ear to ear: ”As long as you’re willing to hang out with Ji Chuan, you can say whatever you want to Mom. Go on, quickly! Dress up nicely!”

Yan Huan smiled helplessly.

She really wanted to tell Comrade Feng she was overthinking it.

But then she thought, better let her misunderstand, saves some effort explaining.

Yan Huan took a few days leave from the military and went straight to the hospital by bus.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she reached the hospital entrance, she saw Ji Chuan and Jason standing there waiting for her. Their outfits looked quite casual today, seemingly as if they were heading out.

”Ji Chuan, Jason! Where are you going?”

”Come on, let’s stroll around Nancheng City. This guy Jason can’t sit still! It’s rare for him to visit, and he insists I take him out to experience Nancheng’s snacks and delicacies.” Ji Chuan explained to Yan Huan with a smile.

”What?” Yan Huan was wide-eyed, ”I didn’t hear wrong, did I? You called my house early in the morning just to ask me out to hang out?”

”Yes! Wasn’t I clear enough?” Ji Chuan smiled, his black eyes gleaming mischievously, ”I made it very clear to your mom on the phone that I wanted to ask you out today! What? Didn’t she pass on the message like that?”

Yan Huan: ”...”

That’s how her mother conveyed it.

But she misunderstood.

Ji Chuan told her last night that this psychological issue wouldn’t be cured overnight. So, there’ll probably be frequent visits in the future.

As a result, she thought she’d be seeing him today for treatment.

”Ji Chuan!” Yan Huan looked up at Ji Chuan.

”Hmm?”

”You’re such a relentless old fox!” Yan Huan gritted her teeth, ”If I had known, I wouldn’t have taken leave!”

”What? Are you so unwilling to hang out with me and Ji Chuan?” Jason raised an eyebrow and said, displeased, ”Look at us, Ji Chuan and I are both undeniably handsome men! With handsome guys like us accompanying you, shouldn’t you be delighted?”

Yan Huan: ”...”

.....................

Upstairs in the inpatient building, Cheng Yue was standing by the window, clearly seeing the scene.

Lately, he’s been seeing Ji Chuan and Yan Huan together more than once.

Their distance seems to be getting closer and closer, and he’s worried that if he continues to have no time to be with Yan Huan, her heart might lean towards Ji Chuan.

She’s waited for him for over four years.

That’s already long enough, if Yan Huan can’t hear from him soon, perhaps they really would be over?

No way!

Yan Huan is the one he loves!

He can’t just watch her leave right in front of his eyes!

Cheng Yue could no longer afford to think it over, he turned and rushed downstairs to find Yan Huan.

He’s eager to tell Yan Huan the good news, his parents have finally compromised. He and Yan Huan can consider a future together.

”Cheng Yue! Where are you going?” Shen Qiqi had just finished changing IV for a patient and immediately stopped Cheng Yue when she saw him hurriedly going downstairs.

But Cheng Yue seemed not to hear her, he went downstairs without looking back.

Shen Qiqi returned to the office, puzzled: ”What’s going on? Could it be that there’s a new patient in the emergency department?”

While she was talking to herself, she saw several nurses in the room gathered together, eagerly looking downstairs, each one as excited as if they’d been hyped up.
