Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2442: Chapter 2435: She Has the Right to Know

”Uh... it’s nothing serious! You don’t need to worry, with Jason’s help, this illness can definitely be cured.” Ji Chuan stammered.

”If it’s not an illness, then what is it?” Yan Huan was originally very worried, and Ji Chuan’s evasiveness made her even more uncertain.

Her heart was pounding wildly, thumping in her chest.

”Yan Huan, first tell me, do you trust me deep down?” Ji Chuan focused intently on Yan Huan’s eyes.

Yan Huan nodded slowly.

”Since you trust me, let me arrange everything, okay? You shouldn’t have any worries in your heart, just cooperate with Jason when the time comes for treatment.” Ji Chuan didn’t plan to tell Yan Huan what exactly was wrong with her at that moment.

”But...” Yan Huan was a bit unwilling.

This strange illness had left many people helpless over the years.

It was a rare chance to meet an expert from the United States, and she finally had hope of unraveling the mystery of this illness, but Ji Chuan still refused to tell her.

”Yan Huan, let me tell you.” Jason noticed Yan Huan’s eagerness to know, and as Ji Chuan wasn’t willing to speak, he couldn’t help himself.

”Hey! Jason!” Ji Chuan quickly stopped him.

”Ji Chuan!” Yan Huan furrowed her brows tightly, ”Please! Tell me! No matter what this illness is, I won’t be afraid! I won’t back down! Even if it’s death, I won’t fear it! But at least let me understand clearly!”

”No, no, no! It’s not death.” Jason didn’t understand why Ji Chuan wanted to conceal it from Yan Huan.

In his view, this illness wasn’t unusual at all.

”Tell me, Jason!” Yan Huan pleaded, her eyes locked on Jason.

”Well...” Jason glanced at Ji Chuan and then said, ”Come here, I have something to discuss with you.”

Jason pulled Ji Chuan into the bedroom and closed the door: ”Ji Chuan, this illness is quite common in the United States. There’s no need to keep it a secret. Yan Huan should have the right to know.”

”No. Jason, you don’t understand the situation here in our country. This illness is still unexplained now, and I’m afraid if I explain it to Yan Huan, she might misunderstand and get scared!” Ji Chuan had his concerns.

He hoped to explain it to Yan Huan slowly once there was improvement or after recovery, rather than telling her now.

”I understand your feelings. However, during the subsequent treatment, you’ll need to repeatedly talk about this with Yan Huan. We need her cooperation, so it’s necessary to make it clear to her.” Jason said.

”Well... fine.” Ji Chuan sighed and agreed.

The two finally reached an agreement and walked out of the bedroom.

”Can you tell me now?” Yan Huan looked at them with longing in her eyes.

Jason nodded with a smile: ”Of course! Actually, your illness is not a strange illness at all. Your body is very healthy, without any disease whatsoever!”

”Then why am I...?”

”I understand what you mean. Your problem isn’t in your body but in your mind!” Jason said.

”Mind? There’s something wrong with my mind?” Yan Huan was stunned; this was the first time she’d heard of having a mental illness.

”Yes. We call it a psychological disorder.” Jason patted his chest and said, ”And I am not only a doctor but also a psychologist.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Yan Huan’s face suddenly turned pale.
