Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2430: Chapter 2423: New Addition to the Family

Ning Chenguang was having a lively and bustling time, running wildly in the fields with a group of kids, climbing trees to take bird nests, and going down to the river to catch small fish.

In his spare time, he followed He Mu to learn how to read.

His photographic memory indeed amazed everyone in the village.

When he finished the first book, An Hao wrote a letter.

The letter described the beautiful times in the village and conveyed his hope to reassure his mother.

In the city, everyone was also thriving in their own lives.

Especially Yan Huan.

Being in love, every day was a new day, a new page.

Ever since she returned from He Family Manor, she had been having a recurring dream.

The dream was of that small courtyard, and the white moonlight within it she could never reach.

People often say dreams are a reflection of extended thoughts.

But she couldn’t figure out what connection she had with that small courtyard.

During this time, before she could understand the meaning of those increasingly strange and frequent dreams,

a great joy descended upon the Yan Family.

A new addition to the family!

That’s right! Her brother Yan Ye and sister-in-law Lin Qiushu had a baby—a very cute little nephew.

As the child’s aunt, Yan Huan hurried to the hospital as soon as she received the news.

To her surprise, the ward was much more crowded than she had imagined.

Not only was she there, but Ji Chuan and An Hao were also in the same ward.

”You’re both faster than me!” Yan Huan walked in with a smile and handed the bouquet of flowers she was holding to Lin Qiushu, ”Sister-in-law, you’ve worked hard! You’re the hero of our Yan Family!”

Lin Qiushu, tired from childbirth, saw the large bouquet and a smile slowly appeared on her face: ”My task is complete! Yan Huan, now it’s your turn!”

Yan Huan’s smile paused, and her expression immediately became a bit resentful: ”Sister-in-law, what are you doing! We were just talking about your matters, why bring it back to me!”

”Because your sister-in-law is always thinking about you.” Yan Ye sat by the bedside, holding his wife’s hands tightly, his eyes full of affection and gratitude.

Yan Huan sneaked a glance at their parents, who were holding their grandson and couldn’t take their eyes off him, their faces filled with joy.

”Look how happy they are! Now their wish is fulfilled, but you really should thank yourself and your sister-in-law. It’s because of your efforts, having a big healthy baby, that old Yan and old Feng’s attention is diverted.” Yan Huan patted her chest and breathed a sigh of relief, ”I feel a bit less stressed now.”

”Stop it!” Feng Yuzhi approached Yan Huan with the baby, ”Don’t think I didn’t hear! I’m telling you, you better hurry up with your own things!”

”See, she’s anxious again.” Yan Huan said helplessly.

”Stay away from that Cheng Yue kid in the future.” Feng Yuzhi glanced at Ji Chuan, who had been standing nearby with a smile, ”There’s such a good man right in front of you and you don’t appreciate it! You’ll be sorry later.”

”Look, here we go again...” Yan Huan muttered under her breath.

”Alright.” An Hao gently tugged at her, ”Aunt means well for you!”

”I know.” Yan Huan said.

”That’s good!” Feng Yuzhi said, then handed the newborn baby to Yan Huan, ”Here, hold him!”
