Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2440: Chapter 2433: His Thoughts

The door opened, and Yan Huan appeared outside.

”Sorry I’m late. I ran into some trouble on the way and had to deal with it.” Yan Huan quickly apologized to Ji Chuan, ”Did I keep you and your American friend waiting?”

”No. You arrived just in time. He just got here too! Please come in!” Ji Chuan smiled, stepped aside, and invited Yan Huan into the house.

”Hi, I’m...” Jason, seeing the woman Ji Chuan liked had arrived, quickly stood up to greet her. The moment he saw Yan Huan, he paused for a moment, then suddenly laughed, ”We really are fated!”

Yan Huan froze too: ”It’s you!”

She never expected the foreigner she met on the bus to be Jason, the friend Ji Chuan had mentioned.

”You two know each other?” Ji Chuan asked.

”Ji Chuan, she’s the lady I just mentioned, the one who helped me get my wallet back!” Jason said excitedly again, ”This world is really amazing.”

”It seems you already know each other. I guess I don’t need to introduce you further.” Ji Chuan said simply, ”Yan Huan, he’s the American expert I told you about. He’s been in the field for over ten years, mainly researching pulmonary respiration. He’s quite well-known in the industry. You can fully trust him!”

”Alright.” Yan Huan looked at Jason and said, ”I’ll have to rely on you for my illness!”

”No problem, no problem.” Jason had been to China more than once, and his Chinese was quite proficient, ”I’m happy to help such a lovely lady as you! Please trust me, I will give it my all!”

”Thank you very much!”

”Now that Yan Huan is here and Jason has rested enough, shall we get down to business?” Ji Chuan sought the opinions of the two.

”I have no problem with that,” Yan Huan said.

”I’m ready too. But before we start questioning, I need to take a look at your medical records and your consultation results.” Jason said, turning his gaze to Ji Chuan, ”Dear, please share the results you’ve compiled with me.”

”Sure.” Ji Chuan stood up from the sofa and walked to the bedroom. Soon, he brought out a stack of documents from the bedroom and handed them to Jason, ”These are all the medical records I’ve collected from Yan Huan’s first visit to the affiliated hospital to the last. Plus, some of my additional findings.”

Seeing the thick stack of medical records in Ji Chuan’s hands, Yan Huan couldn’t believe her eyes: ”Where did you find these? How could there be so many?”

”I found them in the hospital’s record room. I spent an entire day gathering all your medical records from nearly twenty years at the affiliated hospital. I believe we’re close to uncovering the mysteries of this strange illness,” Ji Chuan said confidently.

”Ji Chuan...” Yan Huan’s nose suddenly felt a bit sour.

He had done so much for her quietly.

Her illness was given up on by not only her parents but also by her brother, who was a doctor, and even herself. Yet, Ji Chuan had firmly kept it in mind.

And he was genuinely and earnestly helping her.

”What’s up? Don’t start ’raining’ now!” Ji Chuan noticed her eyes were red, with tears glistening, and with a smile, he reached out to wipe away her tears, ”Look, why are you crying now?”
