Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2422: Chapter 2415: Justice Squad, Take Action!

He Yue noticed that Ning Chenguang was silent and didn’t express any opinion on the matter, which was unlike him. So she went over, sat beside him, and said, ”Big brother! What’s on your mind? Are you thinking about your mom again?”

”No.” Ning Chenguang shook his head, and when he looked at He Yue, his dark eyes regained their usual liveliness, ”I’m fine. I’m just thinking about something.”

”Thinking about something? What are you thinking about?”

”I’m thinking about how Aunt Liang is being bullied.”

”Really?” He Yue’s eyes lit up, ”Big brother, your mind is the best. Think about what we should do to help mom get justice! You wouldn’t know, but Liu Qiaoqiao is really bad. I can’t stand her! Before you came, she was always bothering mom!”

”This isn’t just about getting justice! We need to teach such a bad woman a good lesson!” Little Chenguang clenched his small fist.

”She’s an adult, we definitely can’t beat her?” He Yue said.

”That’s why... I need your help!” Ning Chenguang already had a plan in mind.

”Okay, okay!” He Yue clapped her hands excitedly, ”Big brother, do you already have a plan?”

”Yes!” Ning Chenguang’s lips curved up, looking just like Qin Jian, ”Yueyue, let’s go! Before it’s time to eat, we should gather our Justice Squad!”

”Okay!” He Yue raised both her hands in agreement.

”I want to go too!” He Mu, who had been listening in, was eager to be the first one to rush in when he heard they were going to deal with Liu Qiaoqiao.

”You better not go.” He Yue rolled her eyes at her brother with dissatisfaction, ”Look at you, all cowardly. If you go, it’ll be for nothing!”

”Hey, how can you talk to your brother like that, little girl!” He Mu, who usually doted on his sister, felt very upset hearing her talk that way, ”I’m He Mu, famous and well-known in He Family Manor. How am I cowardly? It’s just that I’m a bit scared of Fat Sweet Potato, but I can handle everyone else!”

”You? That’s hilarious!” He Yue scoffed, ”Fat Sweet Potato is just fatter than you. Even if he beats you, so what? Look at you, all scared! It’s embarrassing! Shame, shame, shame!”

”Yueyue, don’t laugh at Brother He Mu! Everyone gets scared sometimes, but it’s okay. Once you defeat your opponents one day, you won’t be scared anymore! That’s what my dad said!” Ning Chenguang said with pride.

”Hmm. I won’t back down in the future!” He Mu patted his chest in assurance.

”I’ll be watching.” After He Yue spoke, she waved her little hand, ”Let’s go!”

Growing up in a rural mountain village, the children were pretty wild. The adults were busy working and didn’t have time to care for the kids.

Moreover, the villagers had lived there for generations, with few outsiders coming in, making the environment relatively closed with not too many dangers.

So, the children of every household ran around the village freely.

Ning Chenguang and the He siblings ran around the village quickly, gathering their team together.

They decided to hold the meeting at the village mill.

Ning Chenguang, as the captain of the Justice Squad, stood on the millstone with one hand on his hip and loudly said, ”Comrades, today we’re holding an emergency meeting! Let’s discuss our first action! The operation code name: ’Punish’!”
