I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 228: Chapter 227: Sleep With Me for a While

Beisitian nodded; the main wound also came from the large cut on the belly. After hearing the sergeant’s answer, she cut open the clothes completely.

The wound couldn’t be cleaned due to the continuous bleeding, and now it’s all a bloody mess. The cotton swabs stuck and became fibrous, and after several attempts, it was no longer tried.

Nurse Liu originally wanted to stop her, but seeing Beisitian’s skillful method, she stopped. She had no better way to stop the bleeding and was worried about how to hold on until Doctor Sun arrived, so the girl took the initiative to help.

Since the girl stepped forward, if Commander Liu had any accidents, it wouldn’t be related to her.

Nurse Liu stood at the emergency room door, occasionally looking back at Beisitian, then glancing outside to see if Doctor Sun had arrived. Upon looking back, she saw Beisitian take out a small cloth bag, which, when opened, revealed several rows of silver needles!

”Did you study traditional Chinese medicine?” Nurse Liu was somewhat surprised. No one studying traditional medicine had ever come here. Most injuries on the troop are external, and the soldiers have good physical quality. Even if they have minor ailments, many don’t go to the health team and instead just sleep and drink warm water. Most with minor issues are military family members.

Traditional medicine now is gradually focusing on conditioning the body, as it doesn’t act as quickly as Western medicine, so it can only develop in this direction. Therefore, the health teams in the military don’t usually need traditional medicine. To put it nicely, there is no use; to put it harshly, it’s unnecessary!

”Yes.” Beisitian replied.

Nurse Liu stopped talking. She didn’t know how this medical assistant got in; someone studying traditional medicine might have connections above to get arranged here.

Nurse Liu was astute and quickly guessed Beisitian came in through connections. Although her attitude wasn’t warm, it also wasn’t as commanding as at the start. People like Beisitian might not have any skills, but might achieve something in the future, so she wouldn’t want to offend anyone.

But using silver needles to stop bleeding wasn’t something Nurse Liu saw before, nor the surrounding soldiers and nurses—they were seeing it for the first time. Everyone found it novel, secretly wondering if it would work.

The emergency room housed not only Commander Liu but also others who were severely injured or sick for various reasons. Those whose conditions were improving opened their eyes to watch, and the surrounding soldiers focused intently on Beisitian and her silver needles.

Beisitian was unaffected by the surroundings, swiftly and steadily twisting each silver needle into the acupoint near the wound.

After inserting six needles, Beisitian asked a nurse for a cup of clear water. The nurse glanced at Nurse Liu, who nodded, then brought over a cup.

Since the incident with Luo Xuping falling off the hillside, Beisitian always carried talisman powder for external injuries for emergencies.

She poured the hemostatic talisman powder into the cup of clear water and gently shook it, then held the cup with one hand and gently massaged Commander Liu’s throat with the other, feeding him the entire cup.

In the eyes of surrounding people, this strange girl took out a small package wrapped in yellow paper and uncovered it to reveal a small amount of yellow powder. Pouring it into clear water, the water wasn’t affected at all; it retained its color. Then she fed it to Commander Liu.

Everyone knew an unconscious person can’t drink water, but when this girl fed him, not a drop was wasted, leaving everyone amazed!

After feeding the talismanic water, Beisitian looked at the wound and saw the bleeding gradually stopping, then began pulling out the silver needles one by one.

The talismanic water she crafted now easily stopped the bleeding, differing vastly from the time she helped Ping’an stop bleeding.

These silver needles needed to be thoroughly cleaned when she returned.

When Beisitian finished storing the silver needles, everyone finally came to their senses, realizing the bleeding had indeed stopped!

”How did you do that?” Nurse Liu asked astonished.

Beisitian smiled lightly, ”Weren’t you watching the whole time?”

Seeing the nurses still stunned, Beisitian said, ”The bleeding has stopped; clean the wound quickly and stitch it up. Delays might risk infection.”

The nurses quickly snapped out of it and hurriedly began cleaning the wound.

Beisitian handed a package of talisman powder to the sergeant earlier and said, ”When your commander wakes, give him another cup with room temperature or cold water—just about the same amount I’ve used earlier.”

The sergeant hurriedly accepted it with both hands, staring at the yellow package. Upon raising his head, he saw the girl leaving, wanting to chase her but hesitated and stayed because of Commander Liu.

Forget it, I’ll thank her afterward; she’s from the health team, easy to find then!

Beisitian had just exited the health team gate when she saw an elderly man with white hair, in his sixties, rushing over. Could this be Doctor Sun?

Beisitian focused on the old man, knowing she’ll report here sooner or later and should recognize him.

Returning to the family building, Beisitian went into the kitchen to make a dish and soup for lunch, being alone, it was easy to handle.

While eating, she couldn’t help but wonder, had Luo Xudong finished his meal by now?

Over the past days, Beisitian familiarized herself with the surrounding environment, leisurely wandering and getting to know the places she needed to visit, making her feel grounded.

On this day, instead of cooking at home, she went to the cafeteria for communal dining, where the food taste was ordinary, but the atmosphere was lively.

After lunch, one easily felt sleepy. Beisitian planned to nap and continue strolling in the afternoon.

As Beisitian placed the key into the lock, her brow furrowed—the door was already open!

Could a thief have broken in?

Thinking this, she reached to find her talisman powder package was missing, feeling a bit annoyed, wondering if she should find something handy before entering?

Just then, the door opened, and Luo Xudong’s tall and handsome figure stood at the entrance.

”Why don’t you come in?” Luo Xudong asked.

Seeing him startled Beisitian, ”You came back? Weren’t you supposed to be gone for a week?”

Luo Xudong extended a strong arm to pull Beisitian into the house, closing the door, then sat down on a chair and said, ”Finished the task ahead of schedule.”

Beisitian knowingly nodded. Realizing it was already noon, she asked, ”Have you eaten? I would have brought something from the cafeteria if I’d known you were back.”

Luo Xudong shook his head, pulling Beisitian back when she wanted to go to the kitchen, saying, ”I’m not hungry, accompany me for a nap.”

”Alright.” Beisitian paused, then widened her eyes, ”W-What!”

Luo Xudong, without a word, pulled Beisitian into the inner room.

”W-Wait a minute! It’s daytime!” Beisitian said, blushing.
