I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 205: Chapter 204: Truly Drunk or Just Pretending? (Second Update, Please Vote!)

The east wing was cleaned up first, followed by the eastern room in the north house; the rest would have to be delayed a bit, making Beisitian once suspect if this arrangement was intentional.

However, seeing the innocent look on Mrs. Qin and Luo Anguo’s faces, she dismissed the thought. She just didn’t expect that the one behind the arrangement wasn’t Mrs. Qin and Luo Anguo but Luo Xudong.

The west wing was not planned to be occupied for the time being, so nothing was inside, temporarily used to pile up firewood.

Of course, the western room in the north house couldn’t be tidied up either. Otherwise, what if Beisitian let him sleep there? So he had his father, Luo Anguo, stack all the sundries in the western room.

Luo Anguo didn’t think much at the time and did as his son said. It was only on the first day after moving in and seeing Luo Xudong shamelessly follow Beisitian to the east wing that he realized his son had long planned this!

However, both he and Mrs. Qin were happy to see this, so naturally, they wouldn’t say anything at this time.

Once in the east wing, Beisitian was exasperated because Mrs. Qin thought young people liked newness. Thus, she arranged a bed according to the village youth’s preference. Although it was a double bed, it was not as big as the kang...

Lying on this bed with Luo Xudong was different from lying on the kang!

Originally, Beisitian didn’t realize this problem at all; she only did now, but it seemed a little late, especially when she saw Luo Xudong’s slightly dazed and unfocused eyes, causing her to regret.

In the end, she really shouldn’t have let him!

”You can see, we can’t sleep like this...” Before Beisitian could finish her sentence, Luo Xudong wobbled unsteadily towards her.

Almost as a reflex, Beisitian reached out to support his waist, only to find out his waist was solid without an ounce of extra flesh... What was she thinking!

”Get up! You were fine just a moment ago!” Beisitian unmercifully exposed him.

Luo Xudong certainly wasn’t going to get up. Not only did he not get up, he hugged her in return; and as if that wasn’t outrageous enough, he shamelessly rubbed his chin against her head!

Beisitian was utterly shocked. If you’re pretending to be drunk, there’s no need to go this far, right!

Beisitian squinted her eyes, braced against him, and took out a silver needle packet from her inner pocket, ready to give him a couple of jabs. But before doing so, she heard Luo Xudong murmured softly.

”Cover me...”

Beisitian: ”...” It looked like he really was drunk.

If he was truly drunk, she might as well cut him some slack for now!

But this guy was really good at pretending: he acted like nothing was wrong in front of others, looking at this now, he probably wouldn’t remember today’s events tomorrow at all, completely blacked out!

Beisitian felt soft-hearted hearing he was still fighting even drunk, luckily he wasn’t fully asleep yet, so she helped him lie down on the bed.

Looking at his military uniform, she hesitated whether to take it off or not.

After hesitating for quite a while, Beisitian took off his jacket, blushing at the sight of his masculine physique.

With Luo Xudong sleeping on the bed, Beisitian turned her head around to find that apart from the bed, there wasn’t even a chair, the furniture wasn’t complete.

Sighing, Beisitian thought since they’d already shared a kang, sharing a bed wasn’t much different.

Besides, with Xudong drinking so heavily, he likely wouldn’t remember today’s events, they’d deal with it tomorrow.

Beisitian felt like she might be digging her own grave, continuing like this, would she end up having to marry Luo Xudong?

She wondered if she had fallen into some kind of trap?

Seeing Luo Xudong sleeping soundly, Beisitian shook her head; unless it was some wily old fox, she wouldn’t fall into a trap unwittingly, someone with less guile wouldn’t pull it off, looking at Xudong this way, this must have been an accident.

Beisitian turned off the light and lay down next to Luo Xudong, fully clothed. Even though it was a double bed, when two people lay down, their arms would still touch one another.

Feeling the warmth from the body next to her, Beisitian found it hard to fall asleep. She turned onto her side, away from Luo Xudong. That felt a bit better.

When she turned, Luo Xudong, who had been sleeping soundly, opened his eyes and glanced at the silhouette beside him, feeling inexplicably at ease, and he closed his eyes again.

Beisitian had spent the entire day socializing and was utterly exhausted. Even if a man lay within arm’s reach behind her, it wouldn’t stop her from sleeping.

That was what she thought until she was startled awake the next second.

Just when she was about to fall asleep, an unexpectedly strong arm wrapped around her waist, and a warm body clung to her.

Startled awake, Beisitian struggled but found she couldn’t break free. The more she struggled, the more her back rubbed against the chest behind her, but such actions could have severe consequences!

Feeling the changes in the body behind her, Beisitian became tense, froze up, and lay there without daring to move an inch!

She didn’t even know how she finally fell asleep, but by the time she woke up the next morning, the person behind her had long disappeared.

Beisitian got up with a dark face, feeling this shouldn’t just be brushed aside, but how was she supposed to bring it up?

It was embarrassing enough not to talk about it, let alone mention it.

After her morning routine, Beisitian went to the north house, thinking everyone must still be tired from yesterday’s exhaustion; at that moment, Mrs. Qin was just getting up.

Once she had prepared breakfast, Luo Xudong returned.

Seeing Luo Xudong reminded Beisitian of last night’s experience, causing her cheeks to flush and tense up, yearning to make him aware of what he did when drunk!

But it’s only a thought, impossible to utter aloud.

”Sitiang, was it you who helped me to bed last night? Thank you,” Luo Xudong expressed sincerely.

Beisitian pursed her lips, wondering if he truly forgot about last night. If so, perhaps she should pretend it never happened!

Pretend it never happened... Beisitian sighed internally; if Luo Xudong didn’t know, it’d spare her the embarrassment, but playing it off as nothing was too difficult.

Today, she absolutely had to clean up the west room!

Beisitian decided to put down everything and focus on tidying the west room!

Sadly, people plan, but heaven disposes. Before Beisitian could start, it began to rain heavily, preventing her from moving things from the west room to the west wing.

Luo Xudong glanced at the gloomy, rainy sky and laughed, exclaiming nature’s favor!

Seeing Luo Xudong smile, Beisitian couldn’t help but ask, ”Do you like rainy days?”

”I do,” Luo Xudong replied with a happy expression.

Especially love today!
