I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 181: Chapter 180: Human Bones

The foundation has already been dug, but no work is done at night, so someone needs to watch over it.

In rural areas, there are concerns about someone with ill intentions throwing unclean things into the foundation to disturb the Feng Shui, so those watching at night cannot fall asleep.

However, Luo Er’s family did not leave anyone there, the light bulb in the yard was still lit, yet there wasn’t a single person around.

In the darkness of night, a figure hid in the shadows, observing for quite a while, realizing it was indeed like the villagers said, Luo Er’s family left no one there at night!

The figure moved closer bit by bit, because the houses all faced north to south, with alleys on the east and west sides, even though they were demolished, there was no one living behind, meaning almost three sides were accessible.

The electricity was connected from Zhang Qiao Niang’s house, who turned off the lights and went to bed, that figure waited for quite some time, finally confirming no one was present, then stepped out of the shadows towards the dug trenches.

The figure walked to the edge of the trench, took out something from a cloth bag, raised a hand about to throw it into the trench.

Just then, a ’woo woo’ sound came, and the figure’s hand paused, seemingly recalling something, the figure’s neck stiffly turned, and saw a pair of eerie eyes, the ’woo woo’ sound also came from the same direction.

The figure shivered all over, disregarded throwing anything, turned around to run, but where could she outpace a wolfhound.

Zhuangzhuang leapt forward, knocking the figure to the ground.

So scared she couldn’t hide her tracks, she screamed for help, and it turned out to be a woman’s voice!

Her voice was sharp, with a strong presence, immediately alarming many people, at this moment Zhuangzhuang seemed interested in the object in her hand, sniffed it with his nose, lightly pawed it, making the person nervously release her grip.

Zhuangzhuang was finally attracted by that object, lightly jumped off her body, moved to the front of the object, which was covered with an old newspaper.

The person was nearly scared out of her wits, feeling a lightness from the body, turned to see the wolfhound interested in the object she had brought, hurriedly scrambled to her feet to run.

Seeing this, Zhuangzhuang gave her a bite, right on the plump part of the buttocks, she howled in pain, clutched her buttocks, and ran away.

Zhuangzhuang remembered Beisitian’s instructions not to leave here, he failed to grab her with his mouth, started frantically pawing, wanting to chase but couldn’t leave.

Zhang Qiao Niang’s house was the first to arrive, being nearby, quickly followed by Beisitian and Mrs. Qin.

Zhuangzhuang sat at his original spot, seemingly knowing his mistake for letting the person escape, when Beisitian arrived, he whined softly and nuzzled her, expressing his apology.

Beisitian gently petted his head, approached the object wrapped in old newspaper.

”I just opened it, it’s a bone!” Zhang Qiao Niang said.

She could tell someone deliberately wanted to throw it into the trench, no matter whose bone it was, no one would want a bone buried under their house!

This person is truly despicable!

Beisitian poked it with a small stick, her face immediately darkened, she realized it was a human bone!

She didn’t understand Feng Shui, but she knew its actual effects, if a human bone was really thrown under the house, it might impact the Feng Shui!

She didn’t want Mrs. Qin to worry, so she didn’t say it out loud, glanced around, noticed some fabric fragments on the ground.

”Did you bite this off?” Beisitian asked Zhuangzhuang.

Zhuangzhuang howled and wagged his tail.

Beisitian looked at the fabric fragments, they weren’t particularly distinguishable.

”Can you find that person?” Beisitian asked Zhuangzhuang.

Zhuangzhuang howled and wagged his tail, darted forward.

Beisitian quickly followed, Mrs. Qin and Zhang Qiao Niang also followed when they saw her, instructing her husband to look after things until they returned.

The three women followed Zhuangzhuang all the way to the east side of the village, finally stopping at the Ba Wang Zhang Family’s front gate.

Zhuangzhuang stopped and barked furiously.

Soon there was commotion inside, the lights came on in the house.

Zhang Shuncai came out in his clothes, asked who it was, Zhuangzhuang’s barking was the only reply.

He had no choice but to walk over, looked out from the gate crack, and saw Beisitian and two women.

Seeing Beisitian, he instinctively frowned, had a foreboding feeling, what could she want at this hour?

No matter what, the door couldn’t remain closed, or it would catch the neighborhood’s attention, if truly problematic, it would be shameful for them as well.

Zhang Shuncai opened the door with a smile: ”Little Tian’er and Aunt Qin, what brings you here?” He automatically ignored Zhang Qiao Niang.

Zhang Qiao Niang glared at him, such a coward!

Beisitian didn’t take out the human bone right away, only asked: ”Is Zhang Lianqiao here?”

Zhang Shuncai was startled, what did they want with his sister at this hour?

He certainly didn’t think Beisitian was on good terms with his sister, it’d be nice if that were the case, but coming now wasn’t likely for a happy reason.

”Lian Qiao is asleep, why are you looking for her at this time?” Zhang Shuncai asked.

”She threw things into my family’s foundation, a human bone!” Beisitian spread out her hand, holding the human bone wrapped in old newspaper.

Zhang Shuncai was shocked, ”No way, she’s been asleep all along, how could she sneak out in the middle of the night and throw things!”

If this were confirmed, his sister wouldn’t find a husband, it’s too unscrupulous! Even he, Zhang Shuncai, wouldn’t do something so unscrupulous.

”I saw it.” Beisitian said.

Zhang Shuncai forced a smile, ”Little Tian’er, it’s not that I don’t admit it, but there should be some evidence.”

Beisitian looked at Zhang Shuncai, then grinned, ”I have no evidence, but I’ve noted it down, also this fabric scrap to return to you, my Zhuangzhuang bit it off.” She waved the human bone in her hand, turned around and left.

Seeing her smile, an innate fear crept into Zhang Shuncai’s heart, swallowing, he wanted to stop her, but didn’t know what to say, the problem was he didn’t know anything!

Hesitating for a moment, Beisitian already left with her group.

Zhang Shuncai went back, woke everyone up, took the fabric scrap directly to Zhang Lianqiao.

Zhang Lianqiao’s face turned pale, her butt ached slightly, when Zhang Shuncai dragged her up, she couldn’t help but yelp.

Seeing the big hole on her buttock with the bloody bite mark, how could she not know what happened!

”What on earth is going on!” Zhang Shuncai roared.

Didn’t she know that girl shouldn’t be provoked, yet she still did, now look, how will we resolve this!

Zhang Lianqiao wasn’t trying to throw just any bone, but a human bone picked from a graveyard, surely she didn’t have the courage to dig for one herself, most likely dug up by a stray dog, he never expected she’d be this bold!
