I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 174: Chapter 173: Putting It on the Agenda

Although Luo Xudong couldn’t see Beisitian, his entire attention was focused on the person behind him at the moment. It seemed he could feel her every movement, especially when her soft finger touched his skin, causing his breath to momentarily halt, and the muscles on his back suddenly tightened.

Luo Xudong’s heartbeat was momentarily chaotic; this uncontrollable feeling was something he had never experienced before.

Beisitian turned the talisman powder into a paste and gently applied it to Luo Xudong’s wound. After more than a week of care, the wound was already showing patches of pink, which was new flesh. Her talisman powder was very effective.

In reality, it was time to switch to normal external ointment, but Beisitian still used the talisman powder for him to help the wound heal quickly.

Though the wound looked gruesome, the mark would become increasingly faint over time, leaving only a very light scar, much lighter than scars from previous injuries.

”Try to use less soy sauce in your food during this period,” Beisitian said softly.

”Okay.” Luo Xudong’s mouth curved into a slight smile.

Once the medicine was applied, Luo Xudong felt regret, thinking if the injured area were larger, she could have applied it a bit longer.

”Thank you, Miss Bei,” said Luo Xudong as he put on his clothes, buttoning them up.

Beisitian wondered if she had just seen an expression of regret on Luo Xudong’s face.

”It’s nothing, just settle the medical fee with me,” Beisitian said earnestly and with an air of naturalness.

Treatment requires money, and indeed, that is naturally the case.

Luo Xudong couldn’t help laughing, ”Okay.”

In the end, Luo Xudong paid Beisitian three times the price, roughly more than three hundred yuan, with a simple reasoning: Beisitian took a great risk to treat him and was so tirelessly dedicated, which was well deserved.

Beisitian collected the money without hesitation.

Ma Xiaoling looked at the public account as it decreased by more than three hundred yuan and silently lamented; she had to create false accounts while managing the store!

However, someone like Luo Xudong in a high position, even if he uses more of the public account, those above him wouldn’t do anything to him. The annual profits he brings in, the interest from current accounts, is even more than this.

Nonetheless, what left Ma Xiaoling speechless was that silly girl Beisitian didn’t take this opportunity to get closer to Mr. Zhou, a golden opportunity indeed!

It’s hard to tell whether Beisitian had no such intention at all or just didn’t think of it. Which girl in the village wouldn’t want to leave the countryside, move to the city, and become a city person in the future!

For young women, marrying is a second chance at life, so she must choose wisely.

Once this incident passed, Beisitian devoted herself to treating Luo Anguo’s leg. Once the treatment progressed further, she planned to start building a house, and in this light, she was considering selling the screen of Double-sided Embroidery with Three Strange Designs.

Through spinal stimulation, Beisitian successfully helped Luo Anguo stand up and walk independently, but that was far from enough. She hoped he would eventually use his legs to protect his family.

Anywhere in the world, strong men are expected to protect their families.

To repay Mrs. Qin and Luo Anguo’s kindness, Beisitian strives to solve their future worries. She didn’t want their lives to revert to the previous state once she left.

Although Luo Anguo can barely live autonomously now, he still needs time to live like a normal person.

During this period, the focus is on rehabilitation through exercise.

Beisitian adjusted the Xuan Talisman, reducing stimulation, making it more beneficial for bone recovery and muscle strength enhancement.

”Dad, our house is quite old. I’m thinking now that we’re financially stable, we should rebuild it,” Beisitian said.

Luo Anguo and Mrs. Qin felt a bit surprised, exchanged glances, and Mrs. Qin said, ”Building a house costs a lot. Where do we have that much money?”

Beisitian couldn’t help smiling, ”Why wouldn’t we? Don’t forget my considerable monthly income. Initially, it was two hundred yuan a month, then when I trained a few embroidery women in double-sided embroidery, it rose to two hundred sixty. Plus the money from selling my writing monthly, which is almost four hundred.”

Mrs. Qin clicked her tongue; although Beisitian had mentioned this, it had just been a passing thought, ”Then how much have we saved now?”

Since she stopped managing the household finances, she relaxed, not knowing how much money they had. Yet, on the other hand, it showed her complete trust in Beisitian.

”About three thousand yuan,” Beisitian recalled that the balance on the last deposit was over two thousand eight hundred.

Mrs. Qin and Luo Anguo exchanged looks of surprise; they had saved that much!

”Three thousand yuan should be enough for building the house and buying some furniture,” Beisitian said.

Once the screen is sold, she would keep a small portion of the money and save the rest for Luo Anping’s future marriage.

Building a house in the countryside is an important event, and Mrs. Qin and Luo Anguo didn’t speak for a moment, but after thinking carefully, they realized their family did have the foundation to build a house now.

In significant matters, Mrs. Qin always listened to Luo Anguo. Leaning against the cabinet, Luo Anguo contemplated and said, ”We should indeed build a house. Little Tian’er has considered far beyond us.”

In rural areas, your life’s quality isn’t gauged by what you eat, drink, or wear, but by your house and livestock.

A big house and numerous livestock, plus having a tractor and tri-wheeler, make your status in the village exceptional!

Seeing that Luo Anguo agreed, Mrs. Qin’s enthusiasm also surged. In the countryside, owning a big brick and tile house with tile flooring and walls inside would make a family quite prominent!

Mrs. Qin once fantasized about it but later dared not dream, yet unexpectedly, it was brought up suddenly.

When it comes to building, Luo Anguo still has some experience. Things like how big to build the house, the height of the platform, and the cost per brick are tasks he can handle.

”Dad, you can think about these things; I don’t understand house construction,” Beisitian laughed.

Mrs. Qin’s mouth never closed, ”Before we start building, we must communicate well with our neighbors.”

The first to make things difficult would be the neighbors, apart from fearing the house’s height blocking sunlight, or one may fear the builders encroach on their land, not even mentioning the envy of others having a superior house.

In many rural places, especially where land is precious, such things often happen. Disputes and conflicts might arise during foundation building and roofing.

Listening to Mrs. Qin’s explanation, Beisitian realized how much intricacy and knack building a house entailed.

”No worries, Mom; they won’t cause trouble,” Beisitian smiled.

Her confident words left Mrs. Qin with complete trust, and since she said there wouldn’t be any trouble, there wouldn’t be.

Once deciding on building a house, it required a careful plan.
