I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 160: Chapter 159: What Should We Do

Yang Wulang hurried home, and on this side, Beisitian also prepared talismanic water for the family, and gave it to Mrs. Qin, Luo Anguo, and Luo Anping to drink.

”Don’t go out to play these days,” Beisitian advised Luo Anping.

The constitution of that child Guo Mingyang seemed good, yet he was infected with pneumonia. This wave is likely to be fierce. Even with talismanic water, she dared not take it lightly.

Worried that Luo Anping might not be obedient, Mrs. Qin and Luo Anguo solemnly reminded him again. They had just heard what Yang Wulang said, and they were anxious. Now seeing Beisitian’s serious expression, their worries grew even more.

After giving talismanic water to his family, Yang Wulang returned to Luo Er’s family. He waited until after seven in the evening but didn’t see Guo Jianye come over. He was preoccupied with thoughts of his wife and children, so he left.

Who knew, that very midnight, the door of Yang Wulang’s house was knocked loudly. The person outside, breathing heavily, said his man couldn’t catch his breath, urging him to quickly come take a look.

Yang Wulang immediately recognized who it was. Li Chunfen’s husband had been running a fever for four or five days. Despite injections and drips, there was no improvement. He hadn’t even thought about it today when her family sought him out.

Upon hearing this, Yang Wulang quickly fetched his medicine box, donned a mask, and followed Li Shufen out.

Entering Li Shufen’s home, crying sounds emanated from inside, startling Li Shufen, who rushed inside.

Yang Wulang followed closely, but before he even entered, he heard Li Shufen’s cries inside, leaving his heart sinking as he hurriedly stepped in, but it was already too late.

Li Shufen’s husband lay on the bed, his body already cold.

Seeing this, Yang Wulang disregarded all else, stepped onto the bed, and opened the window, addressing the grieving couple and Li Shufen: ”He caught pneumonia, it’s contagious, you all must leave!”

Li Shufen’s face turned utterly pale upon hearing this, she stopped crying immediately and first pulled her two children out of the room.

The elderly couple wailed in sorrow, paying no mind to whether it was contagious, sobbing so intensely they were breathless.

Even then, going out, it was uncertain if it was still timely. The oppressive stench inside the room indicated it had been shut for several days.

The commotion alerted the surrounding neighbors, many homes lit up, and those on good terms with her draped clothes over themselves to come inquire. Learning her husband died, they were all astounded.

Hadn’t it been a cold with a fever just a few days ago, a minor issue, how did he suddenly die!

In this dead of night, some with good relations came over to help arrange things, plan this, and plan that, first putting on clothes to prevent stiffness later on making them difficult to wear.

The elderly couple fainted twice in grief, but fortunately, Yang Wulang was there to look after them, so no major issue occurred. Upon asking what happened, Yang Wulang explained the truth.

Upon hearing this, everyone’s faces turned pale, if it’s contagious why didn’t he say sooner, they entered and exited so many times, this wasn’t dangerous, was it!

Earlier, Yang Wulang had been so busy like a spinning top, several times he tried to speak but was interrupted, not intentionally keeping quiet.

Typically when someone passes away, familiar individuals would assist in cutting paper money and handling arrangements, some might even invite a major officiant to manage various affairs, but this time with Li Shufen’s husband’s death, no one dared go.

Those outside knew nothing, just saying Li Shufen’s husband died of infectious disease, it came too quickly, and Li Shufen’s husband was gone before anything could be done.

In the morning, the Li Family’s household heads came over to help prepare the funeral.

Yang Wulang was busy throughout the night and into the day, truly exhausted by now, hadn’t yet entered his home when he saw Guo Jianye rushing over.

”Wulang, come quickly with me, my father has a fever too!”

Guo Jianye was tall and big, square-faced, his face was scruffy, hadn’t shaved for several days.

Upon hearing this, Yang Wulang sighed repeatedly, this pneumonia might not be stoppable!

Guo Jianye learned about Li Shufen’s husband’s death. If not for this, probably his own father having a fever wouldn’t concern him too much.

Guo Jianye was anxious and worried, not only for his father’s fever, last night Xiao Yang also had difficulty breathing, should any misfortune occur, how could he explain this to his younger brother and his wife.

”This is pneumonia! Not just a common cold and fever!” Yang Wulang felt at a loss, going to the municipal hospital was surely too late now, as for the town health center? If really left with no other option, it was the only choice.

Yet, Yang Wulang held a glimmer of hope, namely Beisitian, despite this epidemic being a disaster, but what if Beisitian had a solution.

”Pneumonia? Impossible!” Guo Jianye wasn’t like his father and mother who lived in the village all their lives, of course, he knew what pneumonia was.

”Then do this, come with me first.” Yang Wulang tugged the incredulous Guo Jianye toward Luo Er’s house.

Upon arriving at Luo Er’s house, Guo Jianye suddenly remembered that on the night he returned, his wife seemed to have told him Yang Wulang asked him to visit Luo Er’s house, also mentioned something about a critical matter, but he was too tired at that time to listen, falling asleep before hearing it completely.

”Did you come to find An Guo’s daughter-in-law?” Guo Jianye asked uncertainly.

Yang Wulang had no mind for anything else, nodded as he walked inside.

”Little Tian’er!” Yang Wulang called, leading Guo Jianye inside.

”Uncle Yang, please sit. Uncle Guo also came.” Beisitian greeted and went to pour water for them.

Guo Jianye entered and immediately saw Luo Anguo, standing by a cabinet, trying hard to move, his eyes widened, ”What’s this...”

”Brother Jianye, please come in and sit.” Luo Anguo smiled.

He knew why Guo Jianye was so shocked. Back at the time in the mountains when he had an incident, it was Guo Jianye who carried him back. His situation was well known to him, precisely because of this, Guo Jianye guessed he couldn’t stand up before Yang Wulang had concluded.

Now suddenly seeing Luo Anguo not only stand but walk, how could he not be amazed!

Guo Jianye sat on the edge of the bed, still a bit dazed looking at Luo Anguo. Yang Wulang explained briefly, only then realizing it’s actually thanks to Beisitian!

Luo Er’s daughter-in-law had such great capabilities?

Until Mrs. Qin returned inside, he was shocked to find, not only had Luo Anguo’s leg healed, but Mrs. Qin’s eyes also too!

”Little Tian’er, did you know Li Shufen’s husband died?” Yang Wulang said.

Beisitian nodded slightly, ”This kind of illness can act quickly, within four or five days.”

”We can’t just watch a whole village wait to die, what should we do now?” Yang Wulang asked urgently.

The nearby Guo Jianye looked at Yang Wulang in astonishment, he, such a grown man, asked a young woman what to do!

”Isolate those who are infected,” Beisitian solemnly said.
