Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 150 The Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft was successfully developedChapter 150 The Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft was successfully developed
The good news from the 077 Machinery Military Factory is that another helicopter model has also been designed and developed, and an Osprey transport aircraft has been produced for various testing experiments.

Lin Chenran directly called Mr. Wei, the head of the Yan State’s military equipment department.

”Lin, you are the kind of person who never comes to visit me for no reason. Why are you calling me at this time?”

After a while, Mr. Wei’s hearty laughter came from the other end of the phone.

”what!”

Lin Chenran scratched his head when he heard this.

”Mr. Wei, another type of helicopter has been designed, developed and manufactured by our 077 Mechanical Military Factory. It will begin testing in three days. Would you like your military to send someone over to inspect it?”

Lin Chenran spoke directly to the point.

”What? It was developed so quickly?”

Old Wei widened his eyes in disbelief.

You know, the research and development of this transport aircraft, temporarily code-named Osprey, is extremely difficult, and it requires overcoming many technical difficulties and engineering challenges.

For example, it needs to have a powerful power system, an efficient flight control system, advanced navigation equipment, and so on.

In addition, it also needs to take into account issues such as the aircraft’s safety, reliability and maintainability.

Therefore, Mr. Wei originally expected that the development of this helicopter would take a long time, but he did not expect that it would be successfully developed so quickly.

And entered the final testing phase.

He couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement and anticipation.

Go! You must go to the 077 Mechanical Military Factory to witness the first flight of the Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft.

This Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft is indeed unique, and it exhibits a very sci-fi design style.

Compared with the traditional helicopter, it is more like an innovative flying machine.

Its unique features include short-distance take-off, in-situ take-off and foldability, which make it excellent in transportation performance.

In addition, this Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft also incorporates many advanced technical elements, such as high-tech materials and intelligent control systems.

”Of course!”

Lin Chenran responded with a smile.

”Otherwise I wouldn’t come to bother you.” This sentence was obviously to show his pride to Mr. Wei, and at the same time to show off his own Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft.

Finally, Mr. Wei said that he would go to the 077 Mechanical Military Factory with Mr. Zhang from the Yan Kingdom Navy to witness the first test flight of this Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft.

The Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft is perfectly suited to the needs of the Navy.

Especially since it is a foldable helicopter.

For a warship with limited space, that is its dream plane!
”Welcome to you!”

”The Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft will definitely not let you down.”

Then Lin Chenran shook Wei Lao jokingly: ”Wei Lao, we will charge a normal price for the Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft this time, unless your military can approve us to sell it to foreign countries, otherwise the high research and development costs will directly overwhelm our 077 Mechanical Military Factory.”

When the true intention was revealed, Lin Chenran finally revealed his thoughts.

”You kid, you really are the kind of person who won’t come to me for no reason. Now you want to negotiate terms with me?”

Old Wei started cursing angrily!

”Forehead?”

”Mr. Wei, to be honest, if we don’t sell weapons and equipment to other countries, where will our 077 Mechanical Military Factory get so much money to carry out the research and development of other projects?”

”Depending on you military, our 077 Mechanical Arms Factory would have starved to death long ago!”

Lin Chenran directly refuted!
There is no way. The Yan country military is definitely unable to support the development of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory. Even the purchase of the Z-20 heavy helicopter is a hassle, directly pushing the price to the lowest.

No profit is left for the 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

Lin Chenran didn’t care. After all, there was a ”big money sponsor” behind him. The Saudi Kingdom in the Camel Region purchased a batch of weapons and equipment from the 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

The Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft has not yet obtained export qualification, so...

This is also why Lin Chenran had to give a ”vaccination” in advance to the head of the Yan State’s military equipment department, Mr. Wei.

And Mr. Wei also said very bluntly: ”Whether the Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft can be sold depends on the results after the test.”

Neither agreed nor objected.

Everything depends on the test results.

……

Not long after, the Yan State military delegation arrived at the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

Lin Chenran led the senior staff of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory to warmly welcome this group of Yan Country military leaders.

Mr. Wei standing by couldn’t help but sighed: ”The development speed of your 077 Mechanical Military Factory is really changing with each passing day!”

He went on to say: ”Your research and development level is absolutely unique in China. Not only can you develop tanks, but you can also develop helicopters and warships, and even missiles. If you continue to develop like this, I’m afraid that even the atomic bomb will not be a problem for you!”

Everyone burst into laughter after hearing this.

Lin Chenran thought to himself, ”Hmm? Actually, we can really make an atomic bomb, but we just lack the corresponding equipment and raw materials.”

You know, on the Internet in the parallel world, there is detailed information on how to make an atomic bomb.

What is lacking now is only the equipment and facilities and the necessary raw materials.

Lin Chenran said jokingly: ”Mr. Wei, as long as you provide the equipment, facilities and raw materials needed for the atomic bomb, our 077 Mechanical Military Factory can really manufacture it.”

Old Wei was completely stunned. He was just joking, but he didn’t expect Lin Chenran to take advantage of the situation and say that their 077 Mechanical Military Factory had the ability to manufacture atomic bombs.

”You kid, if you don’t play for a day, you will feel uncomfortable all over?”

Senior naval official Zhang on the side started cursing.

Lin Chenran scratched his head and smiled bitterly: ”Just kidding! It’s just a joke!”

And Mr. Wei showed a different smile: ”Don’t joke, wait until I go back and report to the superiors, and let your 077 Mechanical Military Factory help to manufacture the atomic bomb.”

”No, no, no, Mr. Wei, please let me go. I really talked too much. I won’t dare to do it again next time!”

Lin Chenran quickly admitted his mistake!
And everyone was immediately amused by Lin Chenran!
……

After everyone gathered in the conference room, the meeting officially began.

This time it is about another helicopter of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory - the Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft.

”The next part will be with Chief Engineer Yao, who will introduce the Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft designed, developed and manufactured by our 077 Machinery Military Factory.”

Lin Chenran introduced to everyone the chief designer of the Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft, Yao Zhicheng.

Yao Zhicheng was very excited at this time!
This was something he had never had before when he was at the Shenfei Military Factory!

There is no way, Yao Zhicheng has never served as chief designer in Shenfei before.

And this is his first time.

Yao Zhicheng suppressed his inner excitement and began to introduce the Osprey multi-purpose transport aircraft.

The people in the audience listened to the explanation attentively.
