Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 134 The LM2500 gas turbine is a good thing!Chapter 134 The LM2500 gas turbine is a good thing!
The introduction of the 077-horsepower four-stroke V-type 760-cylinder V-12 diesel engine from the Russian Federation by the 46 Machinery Arsenal was undoubtedly a major victory.

It directly promoted the progress of Yan Country’s tank research and development, raising it to more than one level.

It also means that Yan Country will no longer be restricted by others in its independent design, research and development, and production of tanks.

As time goes by, domestic engine technology has gradually been improved, and will usher in a period of explosive growth in the future.

At the same time, Mr. Zhang and other senior naval officials also saw the successful experience of this time and hoped to apply it to the field of warships.

They are eager to have the 077 Mechanical Arsenal introduce a powerful warship engine to meet the growing demand.

Considering the tonnage of the Aegis missile destroyer and its possible future development direction, a suitable gas turbine will play a huge role and can be applied to various types of warships.

Faced with such an important task, Lin Chenran couldn’t help but reveal a bitter smile on his face.

It is not easy to achieve this goal.

Lin Chenran could only try his best to introduce suitable gas turbines from the Russian bear.

It is not enough to rely solely on the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

The Yan Country Navy is also needed to contribute!
Currently, the relationship between Yan Country and Eagle Sauce is at the end of its honeymoon period.

We can introduce the LM2500 gas turbine from the other party through negotiation.

The performance of this LM2500 gas turbine is excellent.

It is an aero-derivative gas turbine developed by General Electric in the 39s based on the TF turbofan engine.

The sales of the LM2500 gas turbine are astonishing.

It occupies the vast majority of the world’s ship gas turbines.

“LM2500 gas turbine?”

When Mr. Zhang heard the name, his expression became serious and he fell into deep thought.

He is very familiar with this gas turbine.

That year, he was invited by the United States to go to the United States for military exchanges. During the visit, he had the honor of visiting General Electric and witnessed the charm of the LM2500 gas turbine with his own eyes.

What he never expected was that Lin Chenran actually proposed to introduce the LM2500 gas turbine in the hands of the Eagle Sauce into the Yan Country Navy.

”Mr. Zhang, do you know that the LM2500 gas turbine from General Electric is really excellent?”

”If possible, I suggest directly introducing a whole set of technologies. In this way, the development of our country’s navy will be greatly promoted and enhanced.” Lin Chenran said excitedly. He is full of confidence in the LM2500 gas turbine.

Although Lin Chenran strongly advocated the introduction of the LM2500 gas turbine and its related technologies and production lines, he was also very clear in his mind that the Eagle Sauce side would not easily sell these core technologies and production lines.

It’s always good to give it a try, just in case the Eagle Sauce agrees!

Although this possibility is small, it cannot be completely ruled out.

International cooperation and transactions are often affected by various factors, and sometimes seemingly impossible things can turn out unexpectedly.

It is worthwhile to try to introduce the LM2500 gas turbine.

Mr. Zhang took a deep breath, a faint smile appeared on his face, and he said firmly: ”Our navy will go all out to strive to introduce the LM2500 gas turbine and work hard to obtain related technologies and production lines.”

His eyes were full of expectation, but also a little worried. Because dealing with the Eagle Sauce has always been very difficult. Even though the relationship between the two countries is now in the so-called ”honeymoon period”, it is difficult to obtain advanced technology and production lines from the other side.

Mr. Zhang continued, ”If we are unable to successfully introduce relevant technologies and production lines, how many LM2500 gas turbines do we need to purchase at least?”

Lin Chenran answered without hesitation: ”The more the better.”

”According to the configuration of four LM2500 gas turbines per Aegis missile destroyer, plus one spare unit for each ship, we need to purchase more than sets.”

”But if you don’t get anything from the Russians, your navy can negotiate with the Americans.”

Having said that, Lin Chenran’s mouth corners slightly raised, revealing a confident smile.

These are two plans, Plan A and Plan B. If they don’t work with the Russians, then go find the Americans.

It’s always better to be prepared!

”No problem, we will prepare in advance. If you are not successful, our navy will start negotiations with the Eagle Sauce side regarding the purchase of LM2500 gas turbines, as well as the introduction of technology and production lines.” Mr. Zhang was very satisfied with Lin Chenran’s approach.

Not only did he come up with a main plan, he also considered possible problems and prepared backup plans.

The power output composition has always been a difficult problem that has plagued the development of the Yan State military.

Whether it is the aircraft’s aviation heart engine or the warship’s power output turbine, they are facing the dilemma of being stuck.

Even tank engines have always been backward.

If the 077 Machinery Military Factory had not imported the 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine from the Soviet Union, the country’s new main battle tanks would probably still have to continue using old tank engines.

This makes people very helpless!
……

Lin Chenran had to go back to the 077 Mechanical Military Factory and make some preparations.

Go on a business trip to Teddy Bear!
This business trip is also aimed at the gas turbines in the hands of the Russian Bear.

……

Linjiang Province 077 Machinery Military Factory

Lin Chenran just returned to the office.

Song Xiyun pushed open the office door.

”Mr. Song, do it this way!”

Lin Chenran enthusiastically invited the other party to sit on the sofa.

He asked his assistant Xiao Liang to pour Song Xiyun a cup of hot tea.

Then Lin Chenran complained bitterly: ”Mr. Song, this time we went to participate in the symposium on the Navy’s new missile destroyer. Our 077 Machinery Military Factory suffered a loss and was directly kicked into a trap by Mr. Zhang.”

”I suspect that Mr. Zhang asked me to attend the seminar on the Navy’s new missile destroyer because he wanted us to take over the 704 Shipyard and develop it.”

The more Lin Chenran thought about it, the more he felt so.

Use the funds from the 077 Mechanical Arsenal to develop the 704 Shipyard.

Whether it is the navy, the army, or the air force, they are all targeting the 077 Mechanical Arsenal. They want to cooperate with each other to develop themselves!
The main reason is that the 077 Machinery Military Factory has abundant financial resources.

Song Xiyun just smiled and did not express his opinion.

Because he knew that Lin Chenran was just complaining.

But my heart was filled with joy and I felt like I was flying.

The 077 Mechanical Arsenal absorbed the 704 Shipyard, causing it to grow rapidly.

Lin Chenran saw that Song Xiyun did not respond to him.

The whole person became embarrassed.

”You understand, I understand, and everyone understands.”

Song Xiyun gave a smile that said, ”I understand you.”

”Forehead?”

”Nothing escapes your eyes.”

Lin Chenran scratched his head awkwardly.

In fact, Lin Chenran had long wanted to have his own 077 Mechanical Military Factory merge with a shipyard.

But a suitable shipyard has not been found yet.

Now the Yan Country Navy directly gave the 704 Shipyard to the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.
