Chapter 132 Visiting the 704 ShipyardChapter 132 Visiting the 704 (Jiangnan) Shipyard

Lin Chenran led his team to leave Haifu Province and take over the 704 (Jiangnan) Shipyard.

At the same time, relevant personnel from the Yan State Navy also went to the 704 Shipyard.

After arriving at the destination, Lin Chenran quickly got into work mode without any delay and designed a new type of missile destroyer within one and a half months.

Led by the senior management of the 704 Shipyard, they began to visit the entire factory.

Along the way, Lin Chenran remained calm and professional, carefully observing every detail, but he did not rush to express his opinions or point out the problems.

Instead, he quietly recorded the problems he found one by one for subsequent analysis and resolution.

After a whole day of visiting, Lin Chenran had a preliminary understanding of the 704 Shipyard.

In general, the top naval officials of Yan State did not deceive themselves. This shipyard does have a certain scale and potential.

What cannot be ignored is that many of the equipment in the factory are already outdated and need to be updated in a timely manner, and a batch of new equipment and facilities need to be purchased to improve production efficiency.

In addition, in terms of personnel arrangements, he was determined not to let them continue to be lazy, and he must stimulate the enthusiasm of employees by launching some shipbuilding projects, thereby boosting the vitality of the entire 704 Shipyard.

Afterwards, Lin Chenran had a discussion with Mr. Zhang and decided to convene a meeting of all senior managers of the 704 Shipyard.

It was decided that the 704 Shipyard would be merged into the 077 Mechanical Arsenal, and an excellent new missile destroyer would be redesigned for the navy.

……

Not long after, a group of senior executives from the 704 Shipyard hurried over with trepidation to attend this important meeting.

They knew that this meeting was actually a high-level meeting proposed by the Yan State Navy, which meant that this meeting would have a significant impact on the future of the 704 Shipyard.

Especially when they saw the young figure next to Mr. Zhang, curiosity and awe surged in their hearts.

This young man looked inconspicuous, but he was able to be so close to Mr. Zhang and discuss the affairs of the 704 Shipyard with him from time to time.

This made them wonder who this young man was.

After the top executives of the 704 Shipyard took their seats, the meeting officially began. They sat upright with serious expressions on their faces, looking particularly serious and focused. After all, this meeting could change the fate of the entire 704 Shipyard.

Elder Zhang smiled and introduced: ”This is the director of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory - Lin Chenran.”

Hearing these words, everyone present was stunned, and then burst into exclamations.

”What? He is Lin Chenran?

”The legendary director of the Third Line Military Factory?”

”So he is Lin Chenran. No wonder he is so close to Mr. Zhang. It seems the rumors are true...”

For a moment, there was a lot of discussion in the conference room, and everyone looked at Lin Chenran with admiration.

Lin Chenran stood up, smiled and nodded slightly to the people below as a greeting.

They really didn’t expect why Lin Chenran came to the 704 Shipyard.

After introducing Lin Chenran, Mr. Zhang went straight to the point.

”Without financial support, the future of the 704 Shipyard is uncertain. So, our navy has found a big sponsor for you - the 077 Machinery Arsenal.”

As soon as Mr. Zhang finished speaking, the senior executives of the 704 Shipyard below immediately started talking.

Will the 704 Shipyard be taken over by the 077 Mechanical Arsenal?
Most of the 704 Shipyard executives agreed to let the 077 Machinery and Military Factory take over their own shipyard. The strength of the 077 Machinery and Military Factory is obvious to all.

After being taken over by the 077 Mechanical Arsenal, the 704 Shipyard will surely regain its former glory.

There are also a small number of senior executives who feel that the 077 Machinery Military Factory is ”taking advantage.”

In any case, they could not change the decision of the Yan State Navy.

After the discussion died down, Lin Chenran slowly stood up, his face calm and he said calmly, ”Overall, the 704 Shipyard has performed very well, but...”

Lin Chenran first expressed his affirmation and appreciation for the advantages of the 704 Shipyard.

Then he changed the subject and pointed out the problems existing in the 704 Shipyard without mercy.

First, the equipment is seriously outdated, which affects production efficiency;
Secondly, there is a lack of advanced large-scale equipment to meet the needs of modern shipbuilding;
Last but not least, due to insufficient orders, the 704 Shipyard is on the verge of suspension of production.

Lin Chenran continued, ”After our 077 Machinery Military Factory takes over the 704 Shipyard, we will first invest a large sum of money to purchase new large equipment to replace the existing old equipment.”

”We will also further improve infrastructure construction and enhance employee welfare.”

”Of course, if we want to get a richer return, we need all employees to work together and make the 704 Shipyard bigger and stronger.”

”As long as the 704 Shipyard regains its vitality and vigor, everything can be achieved.”

Then Lin Chenran began to introduce the benefits of his own 077 Mechanical Military Factory:
”The welfare benefits of our 077 Machinery Military Factory are obvious to all.” Lin Chenran said with a smile: ”Among all the third-tier military factories in the country, our factory is definitely among the best and far ahead!”

With the rapid development of the 077 Machinery Military Factory, the welfare benefits of its employees have also increased.

After Lin Chenran’s emotional and logical preaching (directly using welfare benefits to attract people), most of the senior executives of the 704 Shipyard let go of their worries.

Who made the 077 Mechanical Military Factory give too much?

The senior executives of 704 Shipyard said: Even if we starve to death or die outside, we will never accept being annexed by 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

077 Mechanical Arsenal: high welfare and high salary.

704 Shipyard senior executives: It smells so good!!!

Lin Chenran saw the smiles on everyone’s faces.

This shows that they are very satisfied with the salary and benefits of the 077 Machinery Military Factory.
After appeasing the senior executives of the 704 Shipyard, Lin Chenran began to arrange tasks.

”What made our 704 Shipyard design a new type of guided missile destroyer for the military?”

”The military previously invited a number of domestic shipyards to attend a seminar on a new type of guided missile destroyer. Our shipyard did not go due to funding issues. I didn’t expect that Director Lin would be able to get our 704 Shipyard to attend.”

“This is really cool!!!”

Upon hearing this, the senior executives of the 704 Shipyard began to discuss excitedly.

At the beginning, due to funding issues, the 704 Shipyard did not send anyone to participate in the seminar on the new missile destroyer of the Yan State Navy.

Unexpectedly, after the 704 Shipyard was incorporated into the 077 Mechanical Arsenal, it won the design and development project of the new missile destroyer of the Yan State Navy.

Now all the senior executives of the 704 Shipyard are not opposed to joining the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

You can get new orders and salary increase. If you still resist, there is only one way, which is to leave the 704 Shipyard.
