Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 873: Chapter 869: Can’t Sit Still Anymore

”What, is Miss Huo also interested in perfumes?”

Hearing Huo Sining ask this, a disdainful look appeared on Yao Xinzhu’s face.

Huo Sining shook her head: ”Not really, I just heard that there was a big fire at Jinshan, and many fragrance companies are now in a crisis over balsam raw materials. Your company didn’t encounter such a problem, right?”

Although Huo Sining’s words seemed to be filled with concern, the mocking tone in her eyes couldn’t be hidden.

Upon hearing this, Yao Xinzhu’s expression changed dramatically. Subconsciously, she looked at Mrs. Gu, afraid of arousing the Old Granny’s suspicion. Her eyes flickered with guilt as she spoke unnaturally:

”Miss Huo is certainly well-informed about our industry. But Miss Huo, you can rest assured, we at Samra are an internationally top-tier brand, and we’ve prepared thoroughly in terms of supply. Even though Jinshan caught fire, we would never allow the company to fall into such a crisis.”

Yao Xinzhu’s words sounded resolute. If Huo Sining had not already heard from Wittmore about Samra’s current predicament, she might almost have been fooled by Yao Xinzhu’s calm demeanor.

Huo Sining smiled and nodded: ”That’s true. If your company actually encountered trouble, I suppose Miss Yao wouldn’t be sitting here so calmly. Seeing how calm you are, I guess your company has already found a solution to the raw material problem?”

Saying this, Huo Sining paused deliberately, then asked seemingly unintentionally: ”I don’t know much about the top luxury brands in France, just XiangNai, Di’ao, and Versace. Compared with these three, which one is more powerful?”

Yao Xinzhu smiled: ”These three brands are old French brands. Samra is a newcomer, having just recently become a world-class brand in recent years. Compared to these companies, we are somewhat inferior. These brands have a history of over a hundred years and are more seasoned. But Samra is a potential stock with unlimited future prospects.”

As she spoke, a look of pride appeared in Yao Xinzhu’s eyes. She raised her chin arrogantly in front of Huo Sining.

Huo Sining found it amusing. No matter how powerful Samra was, Yao Xinzhu was just an employee. If the company was dissatisfied, they could easily fire her. It wasn’t her own company. She couldn’t understand what Yao Xinzhu had to be so proud of, looking down on others so disdainfully.

Huo Sining sighed inwardly. Well, since you are so confident, let me be the good person to the end and tell you some good news for free. Let’s see if you can still sit on the Gu Family’s living room couch after hearing this news.

”So, in essence, Samra and XiangNai and Di’ao are in a competitive relationship?”

Huo Sining spoke with a slight frown, showing a hint of relief. ”That’s fortunate. Luckily, your company has already resolved the raw material crisis, otherwise, it would be terrible.”

”Why does Miss Huo say that?” The entire industry was in crisis. It wasn’t just her company that had problems. Everyone couldn’t buy raw materials, what was so terrible about that? Yao Xinzhu found it ridiculous.

To Yao Xinzhu, Huo Sining was just an outsider who knew nothing about the luxury perfume industry, only about the balsam crisis, and was now showing off in front of her. Truly ridiculous.

Yao Xinzhu increasingly looked down on Huo Sining, thinking she was an airhead, a complete fool, not a threat at all. She couldn’t understand what Gu Xu saw in her, just because she was a few years younger and prettier? Such a vase, what was there to compare to her? Simply foolish.

Yao Xinzhu felt full of disdain internally. Yet, before she could speak her inner resentments, Huo Sining’s next words made her instantly turn pale and sit tight, unable to stay comfortably on the couch.

”I just heard that XiangNai Company has acquired ten tons of balsam raw materials through special channels. I don’t know about other companies, but with this ten tons, XiangNai, being an old brand, should be able to easily get through this raw material crisis, right?”

”Big companies do things differently, finding solutions so quickly. But Miss Yao, your company is even more amazing. You prepared thoroughly for raw materials from the start, naturally not facing this problem. Opportunities indeed favor the prepared.”

Huo Sining’s words sounded so piercing to Yao Xinzhu’s ears, filled with sarcasm and schadenfreude. Looking up at Huo Sining’s mocking gaze, it felt like a hard slap in the face.

Yao Xinzhu’s face turned pale, but deep down, she still couldn’t believe Huo Sining’s words. Raw material procurement was internal company information, usually impossible for outsiders to know. How did Huo Sining, an outsider, hear about it?

It seemed Huo Sining had anticipated her suspicion. She explained carelessly:

”It was a coincidence. I happen to know Bruce Lee, XiangNai’s Huaxia District agent. I learned about XiangNai’s raw material procurement while talking to him on the phone yesterday. Don’t you think that’s a coincidence?”

Bruce Lee from XiangNai?! Yao Xinzhu was instantly flustered, her heart sinking.

If Huo Sining had mentioned anyone else, Yao Xinzhu wouldn’t have believed it. But she happened to know Bruce Lee, having attended the same training class in France. He joined XiangNai post-graduation. Although not very familiar, they had occasional interactions.

An outsider wouldn’t normally know XiangNai’s agent, but Huo Sining accurately named him. And Yao Xinzhu knew Bruce Lee had indeed been transferred to Huaxia earlier this year, working on XiangNai’s agent operations.

This verified that Huo Sining’s message wasn’t a made-up lie but likely true.

Yao Xinzhu’s heart beat faster, sweat beading on her forehead.

She came to Huaxia to stall Gu Xu, seeking agreement to delay Samra and Shengtang’s project by three months, easing Samra’s raw material crisis.

For this project, she had even made a military pledge to Samra’s chairman, Camille.
