Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 852: Chapter 848: Huo Sining’s Bargaining Chip

”The purpose of cooperation is usually to achieve a win-win outcome. If XiangNai doesn’t benefit, I naturally wouldn’t propose such an obviously impossible cooperation plan.”

Huo Sining strategized carefully, already holding several trump cards in her hand. So she had anticipated the other’s reaction and had long figured out how to play her cards.

”What benefit, Miss Huo? Why don’t you just say it directly?” Hearing Huo Sining’s words, Wittmore no longer held back, looking directly at Huo Sining and smiled.

Huo Sining’s lips curled slightly: ”I can solve XiangNai’s current balsam raw material crisis; isn’t that a benefit? I guess your company is also caught in the raw material crisis now, right? With the large fire at Jinshan and the Philippines strictly controlling the export of balsam, prices have skyrocketed. It’s not going to be easy for your company to solve this raw material issue.”

Wittmore shook his head with a smile: ”Setting aside the raw material crisis that will eventually be resolved, Miss Huo claimed to have more than ten tons of balsam. This has all been your word without any evidence. From the moment we came in till now, you have avoided talking about this balsam issue. The credibility of this claim has yet to be verified.”

”If you think just relying on this, Miss Huo, to achieve a co-marketing partnership with XiangNai, then this bargaining chip might not be weighty enough.”

Wittmore wasn’t foolish. He knew that Huo Sining had sent emails to XiangNai to catch a big fish, and now that the big fish had appeared, he wouldn’t take the bait so easily without enough lure.

Huo Sining shrugged, knowing that words were insufficient. She directly pulled out a few high-definition photos from her bag, capturing the batch of one-ton balsam she sold to Zhang Chao a few days ago.

Handing the photos to Wittmore, Huo Sining explained, ”This is the batch of balsam I sold to a friend a few days ago, weighing about a ton. Recently, I have sold several batches like this.”

Wittmore glanced at the photos briefly, then exchanged a look with Auvergne beside him.

Upon seeing the photos, Auvergne’s eyes immediately lit up.

Wittmore might not be well-versed, but Auvergne had been involved in spice procurement at XiangNai for over ten years, so he was very familiar with balsam.

Seeing the photos, especially the close-up of the box full of light yellow transparent grease, Auvergne was stunned.

Balsam procurement has several intricacies. Typically, balsam merchants grade balsam based on the oil’s color, with prices varying widely between grades.

Auvergne was an expert in balsam grading, with over ten years of procurement experience. His sharp eye could judge the quality by color and scent almost accurately.

No one knew better than him the quality of the balsam in these photos.

Though shocked, Auvergne maintained his composure, swallowing hard and forcing himself to remain calm, despite his evident urgency giving away his inner turmoil.

Knowing this Oriental woman had such premium balsam and had already sold several batches, Auvergne couldn’t stay calm, looking at Huo Sining and dryly inquiring:

”Miss Huo, we’ve seen the photos, but photos can be faked. If you don’t mind, could we possibly see the actual product?”

Though unlikely fake, current technology made it possible. Without seeing the real thing, Auvergne couldn’t believe Huo Sining so quickly.

If the photos were genuine, it would be a huge gain. Auvergne knew he’d never seen such fresh balsam in his over ten years in procurement.

Once away from the source, balsam undergoes chemical changes, with oxidation becoming noticeable over time.

However, the balsam in Huo Sining’s photos looked incredibly fresh, as if freshly harvested.

Huo Sining smiled and nodded at Auvergne’s words: ”Of course, since it’s a cooperation, transparency and honesty are necessary. I don’t mind.”

This verification process was something Huo Sining had done before for Jin Rui and Jin Kaili, so she was familiar with it. She directly took out a small box from her bag and handed it over.

Seeing Huo Sining’s action, Bai Yishan wasn’t surprised, but when Auvergne took the box and saw its contents, he immediately froze.

Looking down at the beautiful substance in the transparent box, resembling congealed fat, perfect in color and texture, Auvergne was filled with shock and couldn’t speak for a long time.

”This is a sample. As the head of the procurement department, Mr. Auvergne, you should be well aware of its value.”

Huo Sining smiled: ”Mr. Wittmore, since I’m choosing to cooperate with you, I won’t exaggerate and tarnish my reputation. The balsam quality I provide will be on par with this sample, with no falsehood.”

Hearing Huo Sining’s guarantee, Auvergne trembled unconsciously, his excitement and anticipation clear to Wittmore.

Auvergne, knowing balsam better, indicated that the sample’s quality was indeed excellent, making Auvergne excited.

However, Wittmore didn’t agree readily. While he wanted to buy the balsam, agreeing to Huo Sining’s terms right away made him hesitant.

Anticipating Wittmore’s hesitation, Huo Sining smiled at him and said slowly: ”This bargaining chip might not be weighty enough. How about adding this?”

Smiling, Huo Sining took out another transparent box from her bag, containing a small black object, seemingly insignificant.

Seeing the contents of the box, not only Auvergne but also the expressions of the others with Wittmore instantly changed.
