Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 853: Chapter 849: Agree to Cooperate

Huo Sining presented the second box, which Bai Yishan had seen before.

Much earlier, when Huo Sining had asked Bai Yishan to help her connect with a major luxury brand in France, Huo Sining had already shown her two boxes, one containing balsam, and the other containing this hard, black object.

Bai Yishan didn’t recognize the black object, but the elites from the luxury goods industry sitting opposite knew very well what was inside the box that Huo Sining was shaking.

Auvergne was once again stunned by Huo Sining’s move, his eyes fixed intensely on the item in Huo Sining’s hand, as if he would rush forward and grab it at any moment.

A glint of surprise and struggle flashed in Wittmore’s eyes. After a few seconds of silence, he slowly spoke, ”This chip is indeed significant, but I want to know, Miss Huo, how much of this item do you have?”

Huo Sining smiled and shrugged, ”Ambergris isn’t something that’s easy to come by. It’s really hard to collect this stuff, and I don’t have much of it.”

Indeed, the second chip Huo Sining put forward was ambergris, which she had dug out from under the reef of a deserted island during her first treasure hunt on a sunken ship.

Ambergris has a foul odor, but it is a crucial ingredient for making top-notch perfumes. The demand for ambergris in Europe and America is enormous, but unlike balsam, ambergris takes decades or even centuries to form, leading to a significant imbalance in the market supply and demand. The production of ambergris is low, especially top-grade ambergris, which is extremely rare.

Seeing the gray-black color of the ambergris that Huo Sining took out, Wittmore and the others quickly identified its quality, which explained their looks of shock and excitement.

They all knew that ambergris was worth more than gold; obtaining it was a matter of great luck. However, since Huo Sining had already astonished them with the balsam earlier, their expectations inevitably grew when they saw her take out the ambergris.

But upon hearing Huo Sining say she didn’t have much of it, both Wittmore and Auvergne felt like they had been doused with cold water; their enthusiasm quickly waned.

Wittmore and Auvergne exchanged glances, just about to speak when Huo Si suddenly laughed, saying with a tone of regret:

”A year ago, I was short on funds, so I sold about twenty kilograms of ambergris at a private auction, which means I don’t have much left now.”

Auvergne quickly recalled that a year ago, there were indeed reports from Huaxia Country about an auction house selling ambergris. At the time, they failed to respond in time, and the massive piece of ambergris was sold for five million, ending up in the hands of Versace.

After acquiring that ambergris, Versace’s headquarters even held a high-profile press conference and publicly exhibited the ambergris. Auvergne attended the event and, upon seeing the ambergris, felt not only regret but also envy and jealousy at Versace’s luck, as did other companies.

Auvergne did not expect that the ambergris had come from Miss Huo, and more importantly, this oriental woman still had stock!

Wittmore quickly calculated in his mind; if Huo Sining possessed more than forty kilograms of ambergris, he wouldn’t hesitate at all and would agree to the partnership immediately.

But Wittmore knew that given she had already sold twenty kilograms, the likelihood of her still having a large amount of ambergris was very slim.

Huo Sining paused intentionally to whet their appetite. Once she had their full attention, she glanced at Wittmore and Auvergne, then continued in a nonchalant tone:

”I still have about two to three hundred kilograms left. Although it’s not much, it won’t be easy for you to consume it all.”

”Miss Huo, rest assured, Xiagnai is an established brand with undeniable credentials and strength. Our company is willing to purchase all the ambergris you have! Uh... wait... what did you say?”

Auvergne, seeing Huo Sining’s words, seemed to doubt their purchasing power, immediately assured her, but halfway through his sentence, he realized something was off. Did he just hear Huo Sining say she still had how much? Two to three hundred kilograms?

Auvergne’s eyes instantly widened in disbelief as he looked at Huo Sining. Did he hear wrong, or did Bruce Lee translate it incorrectly?

Wittmore’s expression also froze. He confirmed once more, ”Miss Huo, did you just say two to three hundred kilograms, not two to three hundred grams? I didn’t mishear?”

Huo Sining nodded with a smile, ”No, Mr. Wittmore, you didn’t mishear. I still have about two to three hundred kilograms of ambergris, and it was formed at the same time and place as the piece I sold at the auction last year. The quality is absolutely guaranteed.”

This time, Wittmore was completely speechless. He knew very well that the weight of the two chips Huo Sining presented would absolutely attract a swarm of other companies. Under such circumstances, if he still played hard to get, other companies might swoop in, leaving him no time for regret later.

”Miss Huo, I feel your sincerity. Although Xiagnai may not be the top international brand, it does have a significant market presence. I hope we can have a pleasant cooperation this time!” Wittmore said with a smile.

Huo Sining breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this, ”Mr. Wittmore, Jade Beauty may only be a small studio, but I assure you our products are of high quality. In this collaboration, you definitely won’t suffer any losses.”

Wittmore smiled and nodded, but he didn’t necessarily agree with Huo Sining’s statement in his heart. In this partnership, Jade Beauty’s brand value would depend entirely on Xiagnai. However, considering the balsam and ambergris, he decided to give Jade Beauty a chance.

Auvergne, on the other hand, was not so much concerned about the partnership; he just wanted to quickly acquire the ambergris and balsam and ship them back to France. ”Miss Huo, when can we see this batch of balsam and ambergris? If possible, we hope to get them as soon as possible.”
