Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 393: Chapter 389 Borrowing Seeds

Liang Junqi’s greed and possessive desire for Heitan were even stronger. She glanced at Huo Sining, with a flash of dark light in her eyes.

Huo Sining had a better impression of Luo Cheng than of Liang Junqi, and Luo Cheng’s offered price was more sincere. This made Huo Sining feel the importance he attached to Heitan, which considerably improved her mood.

However, she didn’t waver just because of the fifteen million. She squatted down and hugged Heitan, who was not small anymore. Holding Heitan in her arms was like embracing a three or four-year-old child.

This fellow was nothing like the fierce creature he used to be. When nestled in Huo Sining’s embrace, he stayed calm and even hummed softly towards Gu Xu, rubbing against Huo Sining’s elbow and her chest as if to show off his dominance.

Gu Xu’s face turned dark instantly, his gaze filled with malice as he looked at Heitan.

”Sorry, Boss Luo, but as a dog owner, you should know that Tibetan Mastiffs are very important to their owners. Tibetan people view Tibetan Mastiffs as gifts from the Goddess of Tianshan. I, too, regard my Heitan like my own family. I don’t think anyone would put a price tag on their family and sell them, right?”

Luo Cheng could see the deep bond between Huo Sining and the Tibetan Mastiff from their interaction. There was an indescribable harmony and understanding between the human and dog that outsiders simply couldn’t infiltrate.

Once a Tibetan Mastiff recognizes its master, it is tough to change masters and domesticate. Luo Cheng initially thought, as this Mastiff was still young and not fully intelligent, there might be a chance with slow training.

But witnessing the interaction between Huo Sining and Heitan, his sliver of hope was ruthlessly shattered.

This descendant of the Mastiff King was even more intelligent than he had anticipated, seemingly possessing the intellect of a child. He was not to be underestimated in the future.

The more Luo Cheng thought about it, the more shocked he became, and the closer he felt to loss and depression. If only he had met this dog earlier, he might have had a chance before it recognized its owner.

Luo Cheng felt very uncomfortable, but he quickly adjusted his mood. Although Huo Sining had refused him, Luo Cheng was not discouraged. He took a business card from his shirt pocket and handed it to Huo Sining, saying with a smile:

”This is my card, miss. It’s okay if you don’t want to transfer your Tibetan Mastiff. We can still be friends.”

Huo Sining certainly didn’t believe that Luo Cheng simply wanted to be friends with her. Besides this chance meeting and apart from Heitan, she was sure there was nothing about her that could attract him.

Luo Cheng was straightforward. Seeing Huo Sining looking at him doubtfully, he decided to lay out his purpose openly.

”My kennel has dogs of all breeds, but the only one we’re missing is the Mastiff King. Miss, it’s okay if you don’t want to sell your dog. Our kennel has other forms of cooperation. With your dog’s good pedigree, could you let him come to my kennel for breeding?”

Uh...

When Luo Cheng brought up this matter, it was indeed a bit awkward for Huo Sining. After all, as a maiden, she found it difficult to face such a suggestion so abruptly.

Yet seeing the serious look on Luo Cheng’s face, Huo Sining felt she was overthinking it.

For Luo Cheng, who was in this business, speaking of breeding dogs was a usual practice and wasn’t anything inappropriate.

He wanted to buy Huo Sining’s dog, but Huo Sining didn’t agree, so he thought he’d settle for the next best thing and ask for Heitan’s breed. That way, his kennel could also cultivate a descendant of the Mastiff King.

Seeing Huo Sining not speaking, Luo Cheng was afraid that Huo Sining wouldn’t agree and hurriedly assured her:

”Don’t worry, you won’t be at a loss. Our Kennel Garden has a formal contract agreement, with a stud fee ranging from 10,000 to 1,000,000. Although the final classification will be based on the quality of the puppies produced by the mother after mating, your dog, both in appearance and pedigree, is top-notch, so the stud fee would definitely not be low.”

”There’s a fee for this too?” Huo Sining asked, astounded, her eyes wide open.

Luo Cheng chuckled at her response, ”Of course, our kennel needs purebred and noble varieties, which is like borrowing your dog’s breed. Even the national sperm bank pays a fee to the sperm providers. Our Kennel Garden certainly can’t let the provider dog work for nothing, so of course, we must give a hardship fee.”

Hardship fee...

Huo Sining couldn’t help but twitch the corners of her mouth and subconsciously looked down at Heitan in her house.

This fellow was still an innocent young child with no awareness of gender differences. Considering finding it a mate at this point seemed a bit too early, not to mention that lending for breeding was a rather unrestrained act. It all seemed rather unkind.

”This, Boss Luo, I’ll keep your business card. When Heitan actually grows up and has this kind of need, I’ll contact you then. It’s too early to talk about it now. Although it is a Tibetan Mastiff, I think it’s better to not force these things and respect its wishes.”

Huo Sining had never raised a dog before, so she really wasn’t comfortable with this topic, especially after Luo Cheng brought up the sperm bank, leaving her utterly speechless and breaking out in a cold sweat.

Gu Xu, standing by the side, was emanating a cold aura, his gaze on Luo Cheng unpleasant, disliking the abrupt remarks he made.

Just then, Huang Hanyun and Huang Ranping came over, and Huo Sining quickly pulled Gu Xu away into the crowd, exchanging a few words before disappearing from Luo Cheng’s sight.

Luo Cheng felt a tinge of regret for not having gotten Huo Sining’s name and phone number and for not receiving a definitive answer from her.

But having encountered a Mastiff King, he was already thrilled, itching to immediately phone his two partners and share the news.

When he turned his head, he noticed that the young girl from the Liang Family was still standing there, staring blankly in the direction where Huo Sining and Gu Xu had vanished.

Luo Cheng saw Liang Junqi holding that black-backed dog and couldn’t help but comment with a smile, ”Liang girl, you’re planning to head to Douyuan, right? Your black-backed dog is not bad, but it pales in comparison to the Tibetan Mastiff we saw earlier.”

A shadow flickered in Liang Junqi’s eyes as she thought, if it weren’t for this guy tripping me up, I might have already bought that dog!

However, Liang Junqi was no longer concerned with picking a fight with Luo Cheng at that moment; she had noticed Huang Ranping walking with Huang Hanyun and apparently calling that Tibetan Mastiff’s owner ’Sister Ning Ning.’

Since when did the Huang Family have such a relative?

Liang Junqi hadn’t noticed before, but when she heard Huang Ranping calling that woman ’sister,’ she sensed something was off. That’s when she remembered the woman looked familiar as if she had seen her somewhere before.
