Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 382: Chapter 378: Do You Believe in Miracles?

However, since she had made these demands during Huang Chengyi’s treatment, she did not change her stance this time either, sticking to the previous rules.

To her surprise, these stringent conditions actually added a layer of mystery to her Qigong Massage Technique, making the Lu Family truly believe in its effectiveness.

After listening to Huo Sining’s requirements, Chief Lu immediately had Lu Ruiqi brought back from Yulong Mountain and directly to a secluded villa owned by the Lu Family.

Apart from Song Chunxue and Lu Zhenghang, they kept Lu Ruiqi’s whereabouts a secret from everyone else, assigning only security guards and a nanny to the villa to be on call, essentially entrusting Lu Ruiqi entirely to Huo Sining’s care.

Since she had agreed to the Lu Family’s request, Huo Sining didn’t dawdle. After a trip back to the Huang Family to pick up some changes of clothes, she simply mentioned she would be away for three days, revealing nothing more before leaving.

Master Huang knew what she was off to do and gave her an encouraging look, while the others found it odd. Su Qingqing, being straightforward, directly asked Huo Sining where she was going and what for, but Huo Sining kept her lips sealed, not disclosing a single word.

Following the security guard to the villa, Huo Sining didn’t even take the time to rest before she began examining Lu Ruiqi’s physical condition.

Due to being bedridden for a long time, Lu Ruiqi’s condition was still very serious. The Poliovirus had invaded his body and directly damaged the neurons, which also weakened the neuromuscular system, leading to limb deformities and muscle atrophy, and during severe cases, causing intense limb pain.

Fortunately, having had the experience of treating someone before, Huo Sining was not at a loss when she saw Lu Ruiqi’s condition. After examining his physical state, she quickly devised the best treatment plan.

Lu Ruiqi had been looked after by old experts and special care nurses for a long time and was used to it.

Having his care suddenly transferred to an older sister who was only a few years his senior, and Huo Sining intending to strip his clothes to probe his body, he immediately flushed with embarrassment, the tension and awkwardness overwhelming him.

Huo Sining also felt a bit awkward. Although she had had to remove Master Huang’s clothes during his treatment, he was her granduncle by blood, so she didn’t feel uncomfortable treating him.

But now, treating Lu Ruiqi, the boy was clearly reacting strangely, especially when her palms reached his thighs—adolescent Lu Ruiqi had the kind of reaction only men have.

Upon discovering this unexpected reaction, Lu Ruiqi turned the color of liver, feeling both ashamed and embarrassed, almost on the verge of tears.

Although Huo Sining only had the body of an eighteen-year-old, she carried the soul of a twenty-five-year-old mature woman, so she did not take offense but quickly adjusted her mood, finding a topic to distract Lu Ruiqi:

”Rui Qi, do you want to stand up again, become like a normal person?”

Lu Ruiqi took a moment, then looked up at Huo Sining, after a pause, he asked with doubt in his eyes, ”Sister Huo, can I really? After all these years, they’ve all said I can’t be cured, no one has given me hope; I’ve started to doubt if I’ll be like this for the rest of my life.”

Indeed, the young boy’s attention was swiftly diverted; his complexion returned to normal, but his eyes revealed a look of confusion and even despair. Clearly, this handsome young man had been so tormented by his illness that he had lost his fighting spirit and dared not hope or expect anymore.

Huo Sining smiled and said, ”Why not? If I say I can cure your illness, you should believe in me!”

Seeing that Lu Ruiqi still seemed unconvinced, Huo Sining didn’t bother to explain and simply looked at him. ”Lu Ruiqi, do you believe in miracles?” she asked.

Lu Ruiqi was stunned and didn’t understand why Huo Sining would suddenly ask him such a question.

”Miracles are like roses that bloom out of nowhere in the darkness, like a peace dove that suddenly flies out of your palm,” she said.

As she spoke, a rose suddenly sprouted from Huo Sining’s palm. She held the rose in her mouth and then quickly crossed her hands, making a flying gesture. With a sudden sweep of her palms, a white dove flew out.

Seeing this, Lu Ruiqi’s eyes widened in astonishment. He had watched magic shows, even witnessed performances by real magicians at the CCTV radio station, but this was the first time he had observed a magic trick so up close.

Noticing the surprise and delight on Lu Ruiqi’s face, Huo Sining handed him the rose and the white dove, then asked him again, ”Do you believe in miracles now?”

Lu Ruiqi played with the living dove in his hand for a while before raising his head and said,

”If you’re a magician, then I’m willing to believe once! I hope you can perform a miracle for me!”

Hearing this, Huo Sining’s face broke into a confident smile, ”Then, the moment to witness a miracle has arrived!”

Huo Sining took hold of Lu Ruiqi’s palm and the Spiritual Energy of the Azure Pearl began to emerge from her hand, trickle by trickle. She controlled it, slowly channeling it into the sole of Lu Ruiqi’s foot, up along his palm, past his calf, to his thigh, and gradually towards his lumbar spine.

At first, Huo Sining was afraid Lu Ruiqi would not be able to withstand it, so she transmitted only the slightest strand of Spiritual Energy, very faintly, slowly waiting until Lu Ruiqi got used to it before she dared to increase the dose of Spiritual Energy.

Not long after the Spiritual Energy entered his body, Lu Ruiqi’s eyes suddenly sparkled. His lower limbs had been paralyzed for many years and had long lost any sensation, but just then, he faintly felt a cooling sensation in his thigh.

Although the coolness wasn’t particularly strong and lasted for a very short time, disappearing without a trace in just two or three seconds, Lu Ruiqi was certain it was not his imagination!

Before long, that cool sensation reached his lumbar spine, and he instantly felt as if all his pores had burst open, as if he were soaking in a spring, with a cool and moist current flowing through his body, forming a circle as though it was purging all the toxins from his body.

Huo Sining had, during their encounter at Yulong Mountain, already let him feel the magic of the Qigong passed through their palms, but this time the sensation was even deeper.

When that wisp of cool air entered his body, he felt as though he was floating, with his mind incredibly clear, and every part of his body seemingly becoming more sensitive.

”What do you feel?” Huo Sining asked.

”It’s cool and very comfortable...” So comfortable that he was about to fall asleep.

Lu Ruiqi unconsciously closed his eyes, feeling as if all the filth and impurities in his body were being expelled, leaving him feeling much clearer and more refreshed.
