Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 380: Chapter 376: No Medicine, No Injections

Doctor Nie felt like he was about to spew a mouthful of old blood.

What the fuck! What did I just hear?

His eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at Huo Sining, thinking his ears were having hallucinations.

Dammit!

Doctor Nie couldn’t help wanting to curse.

These old experts had been exhausting themselves, forming a group to discuss for so long and still couldn’t come up with a concrete plan.

And then a layperson student who wasn’t from a medical college boldly claimed in front of him that she could cure polio!

If this girl wasn’t trying to shock and awe the public, then she definitely had a problem with her brain!

Doctor Nie was convinced that Huo Sining was full of bullshit, even thinking cynically to himself that this girl probably knew how to perform in front of the elderly, seeking to rise within the Lu Family ranks perhaps.

Huo Sining, however, smiled with an air of unperturbed confidence, ”So Doctor Nie’s whole spiel doesn’t work on me, I’m not a doctor, nor do I understand anything about ’healers with heart’.”

Doctor Nie felt like he couldn’t swallow or catch his breath, his face turned beet red as he could only stare wide-eyed at Huo Sining, as if looking at a monster.

”As for what you said about looking, listening, questioning, and feeling the pulse in traditional diagnosis, that’s even less necessary. My treatment uses physical therapy, applying ’Inch Strength’ inner power, and doesn’t require medication, so the whole immune system thing doesn’t apply to me.”

”And about your group discussions, they’re also totally unnecessary. My technique is a unique secret that cannot be shared. Besides, our principles of treatment are different, so I believe that even if there were a discussion, it wouldn’t yield any results.”

”This is complete nonsense!”

Doctor Nie was so furious his face turned crimson, and his body trembled with rage as he looked at Huo Sining with eyes filled with indignation and contempt.

Huo Sining just smiled nonchalantly, ”Whether it’s nonsense or not will be determined by skill. I also don’t want to waste any more time with you. Whether the patient wants to be treated is for the patient to decide.”

As Huo Sining looked over at the person on the bed, it turned out that just then, Lu Ruiqi, who had already been deeply asleep, had been woken up by Doctor Nie’s angry scolding.

Only then did Doctor Nie realize his voice had been too loud, and when he saw Lu Ruiqi looking at him with a puzzled expression, his face turned beet red with embarrassment.

Seeing her son wake up, Song Chunxue hurriedly rushed to the bedside, asking anxiously, ”My dear, you’re awake, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”

Lu Ruiqi shook his head and looked curiously at Huo Sining, ”Mom, who is she?”

Song Chunxue hadn’t had the chance to speak when Chief Lu interjected, ”Grandson, grandpa has found a big sister to treat you. Her way of treating is different from other doctors; no need for medicine or injections. Do you want to try it?”

When Lu Ruiqi heard his grandfather mention yet another doctor, his expression soured slightly, well aware of his medical condition.

Over the years, both the Lu Family and even the Song Family had gone to great lengths to find him doctors, but no matter how many they consulted, none proved of any use.

Lu Ruiqi couldn’t even count how many injections he had received or how many medications he had taken, and yet his condition was only getting worse, showing no signs of improvement. Therefore, he was quite resistant to seeking medical help.

But when he heard Chief Lu mention that the new doctor didn’t require injections or medication, he was immediately surprised and his eyes widened with curiosity and skepticism, ”Really, no need for injections or medicine?”

”Really!”

Seeing Lu Ruiqi’s eyes, damp and pleading like a young deer, Huo Sining suddenly felt a softness in her heart and reassured him with a smile,

”It’s just a massage, very comfortable. At times, you may need to take a medicinal bath, but you won’t need to take pills, nor do you need to be injected.”

Lu Ruiqi felt a surge of joy, but still asked anxiously, ”Not even acupuncture?”

There were many practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine in Yulong Mountain, and some came from hereditary families specializing in acupuncture. These elders frequently used physical massages and acupuncture to help Lu Ruiqi activate his leg muscles, so he wasn’t unfamiliar with what Huo Sining referred to as massage.

Huo Sining probably guessed why Lu Ruiqi asked this and explained, ”My massage is different from that of traditional Chinese medicine. It doesn’t require acupuncture but uses Qigong inner strength.”

”Is it the same inner strength from martial arts novels? Is that what you use? Then you must also know Qinggong?” Lu Ruiqi asked naively, his eyes wide and sparkling as he looked at Huo Sining.

”Uh...” Huo Sining was momentarily at a loss for words, ”The Qinggong and inner strength mentioned in martial arts novels are fictional, but I can let you experience what Qigong is like. Could you please stretch out your palm and lend it to me?”

Lu Ruiqi nodded. He had a favorable impression of Huo Sining, this older sister figure, and eagerly extended his hand out from under the blanket.

Huo Sining smiled gently, her right palm overlapped with his, their palms meeting.

Spiritual Energy flowed, gradually moving from Huo Sining’s palm into the center of Lu Ruiqi’s palm, and then through his arm, spreading throughout his body.

Feeling a cool and moist energy flow into his palm, Lu Ruiqi’s eyes widened in surprise, and he shouted with joy, ”Wow, it’s inner strength, real inner strength! I can feel it! It’s just like what’s described in the novels!”

Everyone in the room, including Chief Lu, looked at each other in disbelief, but judging from Lu Ruiqi’s joyful reaction, Huo Sining must have done something that amazed and delighted him.

It was Doctor Nie who stood beside the bed with a stern face, his eyes fixed on Huo Sining, as though fearing she might do something to harm the child.

Only then did Huo Sining look up at Chief Lu, ”Chief, you’ve heard what Doctor Nie said. Like I mentioned before, I can cure this illness, but it’s up to you whether you believe me or not.”

”If you think we should listen to Doctor Nie, then pretend I was never here today, and I’ll be on my way. But if you decide to trust me, then from now on, you’ll need to follow my guidance!”

Huo Sining wasn’t a doctor, and she didn’t rely on treating patients to earn her living nor was she after any fame. So, her willingness to treat someone was not insistent; it was purely voluntary. She was perfectly content on her own.

Song Chunxue and Lu Zhenghang exchanged glances; hesitation was evident in their eyes. Unexpectedly, at that moment, Lu Ruiqi spoke up, ”Mom, I believe. I believe this sister isn’t a fraud! I want her to treat me!”

Song Chunxue was taken aback; she had seen how her son resisted going to the hospital and how years of suffering had made him fear doctors and detest the scent of disinfectant, causing him to become defensive at the mention of treatment.

This was the first time Song Chunxue heard her son speak so firmly about wanting to be cured, even if the savior in question seemed like an unreliable doctor. Joy appeared in Song Chunxue’s eyes.
