Urban Martial Saint

At 9:30 p.m., Ye Qing changed into casual clothes and alone sabotaged one of Boss Lin’s venues.

Boss Lin’s venue locations, where the goods were hidden, and how many people were inside had all been thoroughly disclosed to Ye Qing by Scar Lee. This made it exceedingly easy for Ye Qing to raid these venues. In less than ten minutes, he had injured twelve of Boss Lin’s henchmen and flushed the goods down the drain, also managing to inadvertently injure two other patrons in the private rooms.

It could be said that Ye Qing had thoroughly smashed up this venue of Boss Lin’s because customers getting beaten up in a venue was a serious taboo that affected the establishment’s reputation. Once word got out, the nightlife business would be doomed.

Ye Qing’s raiding of the venues was twofold: first, to gradually eliminate Boss Lin’s men, and second, to slowly uproot Boss Lin’s influence. He wanted to drive Boss Lin to ruin and leave him with nothing.

In two days, Ye Qing had sabotaged three of Boss Lin’s venues, and Boss Lin seemed to have vanished without a trace. In fact, when Ye Qing raided the third venue, Boss Lin had only left a few underlings there, and no goods whatsoever. It seemed Boss Lin had decided to temporarily abandon these venues.

Ye Qing did not expect Boss Lin to endure so quietly, but he knew very clearly that Boss Lin wouldn’t give up just like that; he was probably brewing some sort of retaliation plan. However, Ye Qing wasn’t worried about these matters. He was more concerned about his brother, Ye Jun’s affair.

According to Scar Lee, Ye Jun would be back in Shenchuan City in about five days, and Ye Qing was determined to rescue him no matter what!

That day, before Ye Qing had even reached the school, he received shocking news: Wang Tiezhu had attempted suicide by slashing his wrists at school!

Ye Qing was taken aback. Although Wang Tiezhu was quite self-deprecating, Ye Qing knew that he was someone with dreams and responsibilities. His mother and sister needed his care—how could he consider suicide? Moreover, he had just secured a great job; life should have been looking up. Why would he think of slashing his wrists?

Upon receiving the news, Ye Qing rushed to the hospital immediately. Fortunately, Lin Huayu had already called ahead to cover the expenses. Thus, the emergency treatment for Wang Tiezhu had been promptly initiated. By the time Ye Qing arrived at the hospital, Wang Tiezhu was out of critical condition but still unconscious.

At the hospital door, Ye Qing saw Long Hair whose shirt was stained red. Since the incident last time where Wang Tiezhu pleaded on his behalf, he drastically changed his views about Wang Tiezhu, seeing him as his best friend and sticking by him almost every day. It was he who discovered Wang Tiezhu’s suicide attempt, and he who had carried him to the ambulance.

Seeing Ye Qing, Long Hair’s eyes immediately reddened, and he said with a tremble, ”Boss Ye, please help Pillar.”

”What happened? What’s going on?” Ye Qing hurried over, looking at the unconscious Wang Tiezhu in the hospital room, his own heart hanging in suspense.

”It’s... it’s Young Master Fang and his group...” Long Hair spoke lowly, ”I heard that after Young Master Fang recovered and returned to school, he has been secretly troubling Pillar.”

Ye Qing furrowed his brows, speaking gravely, ”He avoids confronting me but goes after Pillar instead? Pillar hasn’t obstructed him; why target Pillar?”

Long Hair glanced at Ye Qing and explained, ”He... well, he wouldn’t dare confront you. Every time Young Master Fang caused trouble for Pillar, he took him to the toilet—I don’t really know what they did there. One time I went in early to eavesdrop and found out they wanted Pillar to frame you. Pillar refused, so they beat him up and threatened to break his sister’s legs if he didn’t cooperate.

So, these past few days, Pillar has been acting a bit off. Today, he went alone to the restroom. I saw he hadn’t come out for a long time, so I went to look for him and found him like this.”

Ye Qing’s expression grew icy; Wang Tiezhu’s life was tragic enough already, yet Young Master Fang was still bullying him so mercilessly. How could a person be so devoid of humanity?

”Where is Young Master Fang now!” Ye Qing asked sternly.

”He should be in class...” Long Hair looked at Ye Qing excitedly, ”Boss Ye, if we go to school now, we can catch him!”

Without a second word, Ye Qing turned and dashed out of the hospital. Long Hair hurriedly followed, knowing Ye Qing was heading to avenge Wang Tiezhu.

Arriving at the school, Young Master Fang was nowhere to be found in the classrooms. Seeing Ye Qing searching each classroom, Long Hair hurriedly said, ”Boss Ye, at this hour, he should be at the Taekwondo Gym!”

The Taekwondo Gym was located behind Shenchuan University’s gymnasium, whose members, other than the physical education students, were the most domineering. Ordinary students dared not even glance inside the Taekwondo Gym. It was said that a student was once beaten up just for looking twice.

Mainly, the members of this Taekwondo Gym were the richer, well-connected students from wealthy families who could cause trouble at school without anyone daring to intervene.

Young Master Fang was a member of this Taekwondo Gym, and when Ye Qing stormed into the gym, Young Master Fang was sitting on a chair, loudly joking with a few friends. The news of Wang Tiezhu’s hospitalization after his suicide attempt hadn’t affected him at all.

Following Ye Qing, Long Hair entered the Taekwondo Gym after him, but he didn’t dare to follow further and could only watch from a distance outside.

You could tell Young Master Fang had anticipated Ye Qing coming; upon seeing Ye Qing enter, he immediately nudged a friend beside him. The crowd also spotted Ye Qing, and as he walked to the center of the gym, more than twenty people got up and surrounded him in the middle.

Long Hair watched nervously from outside the Taekwondo Gym, aware that Ye Qing was a formidable fighter. However, with so many people now, he truly feared that Ye Qing might be at a disadvantage—after all, even the best fighter could be overwhelmed by sheer numbers.

Ye Qing’s expression was calm, completely ignoring the people surrounding him, coldly staring at Young Master Fang, he said in a deep voice, ”Come over here!”

”Damn, who do you think you are?” Young Master Fang sneered, ”You want me to come over just because you say so? I’d rather you kneel and crawl over here!”

Ye Qing frowned, and at that moment, a young man about 1.8 meters tall approached. He sized Ye Qing up and down, then turned to Young Master Fang, asking in broken Chinese, ”Is this the person you were talking about?”

Clearly, this young man was not from Huaxia.

”Yes, it’s him!” Young Master Fang arrogantly looked at Ye Qing and said, ”This is the head coach of our Taekwondo gym, a Taekwondo expert from Stick Country, Pu Tianri. Ye, since you’re here, today you’ll witness the power of Taekwondo!”

Young Master Fang said, smiling at Pu Tianri, ”Coach, this is the guy, looking down on Taekwondo and even injuring several of our members.”

Pu Tianri examined Ye Qing up and down while the members around also stared at Ye Qing with hostility.

The members who had previously gone with Young Master Fang to trouble Ye Qing hadn’t returned yet, and those present did not know Ye Qing’s prowess. Seeing that Ye Qing was neither tall nor striking in appearance, they simply underestimated him.

”You don’t need a coach to deal with such a person!” A young man with acne stretched out his arms and said, ”Let me test how much he weighs first.”

Young Master Fang hastily said, ”Xiao Hu, don’t underestimate him, this bastard is quite skilled!”

”Hmph, even if he is skilled, what can he do?” Pu Tianri sneered in broken Chinese, ”At most he practices Sanda. Your Huaxia martial arts have no real power. Xiao Hu is now a Black Belt Fourth Dan in Taekwondo; he won’t have a problem with any of your so-called experts!”

”Come on, everyone, clear some space for me,” Xiao Hu boastfully cleared the area, executing several high kicks in place, his impressive moves drawing cheers from the crowd.

Xiao Hu was even more pleased with himself, glancing sideways at the opposite Ye Qing, he said, ”Hey, tell me your sect, so I don’t even know what style I’ve beaten!”

Ye Qing couldn’t be bothered with him, simply staring coldly at Young Master Fang on the other side, and said in a deep voice, ”I’ll give you another chance, go and apologize to Wang Tiezhu.”

”Hey, you’re fucking arrogant, didn’t you hear me talking?” Xiao Hu, furious, let out a loud shout and charged at Ye Qing, throwing a flying kick.

Ye Qing dodged to the side, glanced at Xiao Hu, and said sternly, ”This has nothing to do with you, better not interfere!”

”Damn!” Xiao Hu crisply shot back a word, his right leg raised in the air, snapping several wild kicks to display his superior leg skills. As he won the crowd’s cheers again, he glanced at Ye Qing and said, ”Get lost, I can let you off. Otherwise, I’ll show you the power of Taekwondo!

Ye Qing furrowed his brows, ignoring Xiao Hu, and strode directly towards Young Master Fang.

”Get back here!” Xiao Hu bellowed, quickly catching up and aiming a hooked kick at Ye Qing’s temple.

”Get lost!” Ye Qing shouted loudly, taking a slight step back to dodge the kick. At the same time, he kicked straight into Xiao Hu’s chest, sending Xiao Hu flying backwards through the air for three to four meters, crashing heavily to the ground. He gasped in pain and struggled to get up a few times but couldn’t, instead, he ended up spitting out a mouthful of fresh blood.

The crowd was shocked, unaware of Ye Qing’s strength. They had thought Xiao Hu alone could handle him, but Xiao Hu had been knocked down with a single kick. They were all aware of Xiao Hu’s skills, which were considered above average among them!

Pu Tianri hadn’t expected such an outcome, and his expression grew solemn as he stepped out from the crowd, blocking Ye Qing’s path, and said in a deep voice, ”You do have some skill. It seems I have to personally make a move!”

”Get lost!” Ye Qing snapped irritably, his anger boiling inside him.

”These past few years, I’ve challenged thirteen Huaxia martial arts sects. Wing Chun, Hung Kuen, Tai Chi, Great Sage Pi Gua, not one lasted more than five minutes against me!” Pu Tianri looked at Ye Qing with cold eyes and said, ”I hope you can surprise me, and not let me look down on Huaxia martial arts!”
