Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing’s daily life had become very routine. Every morning, he would drop Lin Huayu at school and accompany her in class. On days when there were no classes, he would visit the hospital to check on Black Bear, Zhao Chengshuang, and Huo Pingping. To help Black Bear recover sooner, Ye Qing taught him some Breathing and Meditation methods.

By practicing this method over time, Black Bear could also cultivate Internal Breath. Of course, Ye Qing had his foundation laid by Third Master Li early on, making it difficult for Black Bear to catch up, but it would still enhance Black Bear’s strength.

At the same time, this Breathing and Meditation method could also quickly heal internal injuries, which was very beneficial for Black Bear at the moment.

After wrapping up his daytime activities and dropping Lin Huayu home in the evening, Ye Qing would learn driving with Old Wang. After racing on Ring City Road for several days, Ye Qing’s driving skills had improved significantly. By the fifth day, Ye Qing had already been able to drive downtown by himself, his progress was rapid.

Old Wang was amazed by Ye Qing’s natural talent for driving and, having received Ye Qing’s money, he taught with great effort, passing on many of the techniques he had realized over the years to Ye Qing. This had made Ye Qing’s driving increasingly proficient; aside from not having a driver’s license, he had no issues driving on the road.

In the past few days, while learning to drive, Ye Qing also gathered a lot of information about Boss Lin from Old Wang.

In the Lin family, Boss Lin was the least favored person. Most members of the Lin family were engaged in legitimate activities, like Divine Doctor Lin Tianyou, who was a renowned benevolent healer in Shenchuan City. Although others were not as renowned as Lin Tianyou, they were also respectful and upright individuals.

Those who were less reputable, although they might freeload off the family and lead wasteful lives, would not engage in nefarious activities.

Boss Lin was an exception; the Lin family had businesses assigned to him to manage. However, he had failed in a few businesses he had managed before. By chance, he had partnered with a friend to open a venture which made a substantial profit, and gradually his thoughts turned crooked, thinking that earning money through honest means was too slow, so he slowly turned to unethical ways.

Despite being reprimanded several times by the senior members of the Lin family, it had little effect. He behaved very obediently around Old Lady Lin, thus winning her favor. With Old Lady Lin backing him, other family members dared not confront him and turned a blind eye to his actions.

Now, he had several companies in the city that served as a front, merely to show Old Lady Lin. The real money-makers were several popular nightclubs and, furthermore, the beggars which included disabled people and small children. However, Old Wang had vaguely heard that Boss Lin, keeping so many beggars, was actually engaged in other activities.

What exactly those were, Old Wang did not know, but obviously, the money from those people begging wouldn’t appeal to Boss Lin.

Ye Qing memorized the names of a few venues in which Boss Lin had shares; now, Boss Lin had hidden all those disabled people and children, and he couldn’t trace them at all. To locate these people, he must start with those close to Boss Lin.

In the past few days, after practicing his driving, Ye Qing would visit Boss Lin’s venues, looking for some clues. For this reason, he even bought a casual outfit and wore a baseball cap, keeping most of his face hidden to avoid being recognized by Boss Lin’s people.

That evening, Old Wang dropped Ye Qing at his doorway, and following his routine, Ye Qing went home, changed into casual clothing, and visited a disco named Bauhinia Flower. According to Old Wang, this venue was the largest investment by Boss Lin, who was the major shareholder and where Boss Lin made money the fastest. Therefore, Ye Qing felt there was a higher chance of finding some clues there.

When Ye Qing arrived at the Bauhinia Flower, it was already past eleven, the peak time at the disco, with loud, piercing music blaring. Under the hypnotic influence of alcohol and hormones, countless young people were freely dancing in the dance floor.

Each side of the stage had a beautiful woman leading the dance, their seductive dance moves continuously pushing the nightclub’s atmosphere to its peak.

Dressed in casual clothes and wearing a funky baseball cap, Ye Qing didn’t stand out in the crowd. Even people who knew him might not recognize him.

Standing among the crowd, using the surrounding people as cover, Ye Qing’s eyes continually scanned the bouncers around.

In such nightclubs, most attendees were young, often those involved in shady dealings. It was inevitable for friction to occur after a few drinks. Therefore, every nightclub needed bouncers ready to handle unexpected incidents.

The bouncers of this venue were likely to be men under Boss Lin. Ye Qing had observed for several days and had a good understanding of the situation at this nightclub.

The first floor housed the large dance floor and performance platforms, while the second floor had booths overlooking the dance floor and stage. The third floor started with luxury private rooms, frequented by the wealthy. At the staircase leading to the third floor, two men constantly stood guard, generally not allowing ordinary people to go up.

There was also an elevator on the first floor, but someone guarded its door as well, suggesting that the rooms from the third floor upwards were prestigious, generally not open for casual disruption.

Ye Qing was well aware that the more restricted a place was, the darker the secrets it often concealed. What dark activities might be occurring in the private rooms above the third floor, he could only guess.

Today, Ye Qing had stood on the first floor for half an hour, during which three groups of people went up to the third floor. Ye Qing also wanted to go up and see what was happening on the third floor, but there were people guarding both the stairwell and the elevator. Going up, he definitely couldn’t avoid these two places, and Ye Qing didn’t want to startle the snake yet.

If he alerted Eldest Brother Lin, then it would be very difficult for him to find any clues here.

After standing on the first floor for a while and observing the layout of the third floor, Ye Qing turned and walked out of the disco. It was already midnight, but there were still quite a few young people coming and going on the streets. For them, the nightlife had just begun.

Ye Qing followed the highway to an alley next to the Bauhinia Flower building and suddenly ducked into it. Although there were many people on the street, none of them noticed him.

The alley was pitch-dark, with several large trash bins placed inside, emitting a rather foul smell. Generally, no one would enter, and now Ye Qing was the only person here.

Ye Qing took off his hat and placed it aside, checked to ensure no one was watching the alley entrance, then suddenly sprinted forward. When he reached the wall of the Bauhinia Flower building, he leaped almost a meter high. Simultaneously, he kicked the wall twice using his momentum to push himself almost another meter higher.

After those two kicks, he was nearly exhausted, insufficient time to kick against the wall again. However, he was now nearly two meters off the ground, raising his hands just enough to grab the second-floor windowsill.

Ye Qing grabbed the windowsill to stabilize his body and, with the agility of a nimble cat, vaulted into the window. The windowsill was quite wide, providing ample space for Ye Qing’s feet.

Pressing his body against the window, Ye Qing slowly stood up and reached for the eaves above. About a meter above the eaves was the third-floor window. The eaves, however, were very narrow, making it difficult even for Ye Qing to keep hold.

Fortunately, Ye Qing’s grip was strong; he nearly had to pinch the eaves with his fingers to support himself. Clinging to the eaves, he took a deep breath and sprung up, flipping over with his hands as the pivot point and stretching his legs to the upper windowsill where they hooked and supported his body.

Ye Qing exhaled in relief, let go of the eaves, and used the strength in his legs to push his body up, finally grabbing the windowsill and pulling himself up to the third-floor window.

The whole process was exceedingly complex, but it was also one of the skills Ye Qing had trained for in the army. Climbing over a three-meter-high barrier without assistance was a common task. However, climbing up three stories like he just had was not as easy.

Inside the third-floor window was the private room, and Ye Qing crouched at the window and quietly opened it. The lights were off inside, mainly illuminated by the large TV, and the music wasn’t deafening. It seemed that the guests inside did not enjoy the noisy sound.

Ye Qing hid by the window and quietly observed. There were about ten people in this private room, more women than men, with the girls wearing very little. Two of them had even stripped down to their underwear and were swaying their bodies to the music inside the room.

A man was dancing with these two women, his arms around them both, his hands roaming incessantly over their bodies. The other guests paid no mind to this trio’s craziness—two rotund men were lounging on the sofa, while three girls beside them bent over, sucking a white powder through straws from the table.

Ye Qing frowned; as a border Special Forces soldier, his most frequent duty was capturing drug traffickers, so he was very familiar with drugs. What these three girls were inhaling was clearly heroin, a definitive drug!

Having combatted drug trafficking on the borders for years, Ye Qing had seen too many addicts and traffickers. His hatred for drugs was profound, almost akin to his disgust for those forced into prostitution. Both would push people into an abyss from which they could never escape.

Eldest Brother Lin was already sentenced to death in Ye Qing’s mind for crippling normal people and forcing them to beg. Now, seeing the drug use here, Ye Qing’s murderous intent towards Eldest Brother Lin intensified further.

No wonder Eldest Brother Lin had sealed off the third floor so tightly—it turned out there was such a business going on here. Indeed, the crimes of Eldest Brother Lin were far more severe than what met the eye!

Ye Qing lay on the windowsill, closely observing for nearly half an hour. After the girls in the room snorted heroin, they were all visibly excited and began stripping. The men, even more stimulated, moved among the women, creating an indecent atmosphere in the entire room.

Ye Qing knitted his brows tightly, not wanting to watch anymore but preparing to leave. Just then, a man suddenly slammed the table and said, ”Damn, it’s gone so soon, Eldest Brother Lin’s stuff is getting less and less sufficient!”
