Urban Martial Saint

Scar Lee shivered, his voice trembling as he said, ”Eldest Brother, I... I was also deceived by Ye Qing. I... I really didn’t know it would turn out like this...”

Boss Lin ignored Scar Lee’s pleas, grinding his teeth as he pointed at Scar Lee, ”Grab him for me!”

A dozen or so men immediately rushed towards Scar Lee. Not willing to sit idly by, Scar Lee knocked a man beside him to the ground, snatched a cleaver from his waist, and roared, ”Don’t come any closer, or I’ll take you all on! Eldest Brother, I didn’t betray you, I was also tricked, you have to believe me!”

Boss Lin wasn’t in the mood to listen to him at this point. He waved his hand angrily and yelled, ”Kill him!”

The dozen men were about to charge and besiege Scar Lee when suddenly a scream echoed through the courtyard. Everyone simultaneously turned to look and saw that at some point, a young man dressed in casual clothes had appeared in the courtyard, with two people who were clutching their faces and screaming in pain at his feet.

At the sight of this young man, both Boss Lin and Scar Lee’s faces changed dramatically. They both recognized him because the newcomer was none other than Ye Qing.

”Ye Qing, you really are brazen!” Boss Lin clenched his teeth, strode into the courtyard, and pointed at Ye Qing as he angrily said, ”I’ve been looking for you for more than a day or two. To think you’d have the guts to show up here today—do you really think I can’t kill you?”

As Boss Lin spoke, another sixty or seventy people burst forth, all eyeing Ye Qing in the courtyard with hostility.

Scar Lee was even more straightforward, brandishing the cleaver as he charged out, bellowing, ”Ye Qing, I’m going to fight you to the death!”

Scar Lee charged straight at Ye Qing, who simply punched him in the face. Scar Lee immediately fell to the ground, losing his ability to fight any further.

Boss Lin watched Ye Qing with a cold expression, his fists clenched tightly. Tonight was a golden opportunity for him with sixty or seventy of his men gathered here; he didn’t believe Ye Qing could fight off so many people on his own. If Ye Qing really did have that ability, then he’d accept his fate!

”Ye Qing, don’t bother performing such a desperate stunt in front of me, I’m not going to believe it anymore!” Boss Lin watched Ye Qing coldly as he said, ”Today, I’m going to let you die right here!”

As Boss Lin spoke, those sixty or seventy people also slowly started to move, arming themselves and beginning to surround Ye Qing.

Ye Qing’s expression remained calm as water, not the least bit concerned about the sixty or seventy people, just quietly watching Boss Lin.

”If I were you, I definitely wouldn’t do that,” Ye Qing said calmly.

”What do you mean?” Boss Lin frowned and asked, ”You trying to scare me? With over a hundred brothers on my side, even if you were made of iron, how many nails could you strike? All of us together, we could drown you in spit—you really think you’re some kind of immortal who can fight off that many?”

”Right, I can’t fight off so many of you. However…” Ye Qing smiled faintly and continued, ”I might not be able to kill you all, but fighting back to protect myself is not a problem. If I want to leave, none of you can stop me!”

”Let’s see about that!” Boss Lin said through gritted teeth and waved his hand, ”Kill him!”

The crowd was about to surge forward when Ye Qing suddenly shouted loudly, ”Wait a minute!”

”What, scared now?” Boss Lin couldn’t help but sneer, ”Only thinking of begging for mercy now? Isn’t it a bit late?”

”I won’t beg for mercy; I’m just giving you some advice,” Ye Qing said, ”Zhao Chengshuang’s criminal investigation team will be here in about twenty minutes. In these twenty minutes, you all definitely can’t kill me. But once those police officers arrive, you’ll have no chance to escape!”

Boss Lin’s eyebrows knitted tightly; he knew Ye Qing wasn’t making empty threats. Just last night, Ye Qing had killed over twenty people on his own; his strength was evident. Even though his own men might manage to kill Ye Qing, it wouldn’t be without significant effort. If they waited for Zhao Chengshuang and the other police to arrive, wouldn’t that result in a loss far outweighing any gain?

Ye Qing continued, ”You have twenty minutes to destroy any evidence tied to you and drive away from this place. No, now you only have nineteen minutes left, so your time is really quite tight.”

Boss Lin said with a heavy voice, ”Why would you be so kind as to give me this time to escape?”

”Of course, I’m not that kind; however, today I’m still going to give you a chance to leave alive,” Ye Qing looked at Boss Lin, his voice grave, ”Because I want to kill you with my own hands!”

Boss Lin shuddered as the murderous tone in Ye Qing’s voice made him a bit afraid.

Ye Qing, however, was quite composed as he said, ”I suggest you think it over quickly because you don’t have much time left. If you really want your brothers to die with you, then you can try to see if you can actually kill me!”

Everyone turned to look at Boss Lin, who was also frowning deeply. At this time, if he were to fight Ye Qing to the death, there would be no escaping. Moreover, if he were caught red-handed in such a situation, the Lin family would definitely stop protecting him. So, he had to leave this place first.

But leaving meant losing his stronghold completely, as well as the disabled people and children he had managed to capture, all wiped out by Ye Qing in one fell swoop. That cut off his operation completely. Even if he managed to deal with Ye Qing later, he would have to start from scratch, capturing and training new people—a long and drawn-out process.

To be honest, he really didn’t want to give up the foundation he had worked so hard to establish.

After a silence lasting a full half minute, Boss Lin abruptly gave the order, his voice firm, ”Destroy all the evidence; take as much as you can carry and follow me!”

”Boss Lin, I forgot to remind you. I gave you twenty minutes to destroy evidence, not to take anything with you. These things, these people, all have to stay behind for me,” Ye Qing said, pointing at the man who had been hitting others inside the house, ”And him, he must stay too!”

The man shivered as he asked in a tremulous voice, ”Why? Why do I have to stay?”

Ye Qing didn’t answer, just quietly watched Boss Lin.

”Ye, don’t go too far!” Boss Lin roared angrily.

”That’s just how far I go!” Ye Qing replied coldly, ”If you can’t stand it, fight me and let’s see who suffers!”

Boss Lin was gnashing his teeth in fury, and his lungs were about to explode with rage. But at this point, he really had no way to deal with Ye Qing. Zhao Chengshuang’s police force was about to arrive, and he had to leave quickly!

”You’re ruthless!” Boss Lin took a deep breath and said solemnly, ”Ye, I swear, I will tear you to pieces!”

”Coincidentally, I’ve made the same vow,” Ye Qing said with a light smile, ”It’s just that I don’t know which of us will see our dreams come true!”

Without paying any more attention to Ye Qing, Boss Lin turned and led his men into the room to destroy the evidence. The man who had been beating people also wanted to follow into the room, but as he took two steps, Ye Qing came straight over and grabbed him by the collar.

”You can’t go!” Ye Qing said calmly.

”Why not? Why can’t I go?” The man turned his head towards Boss Lin and pleaded urgently, ”Eldest Brother! Eldest Brother...”

Boss Lin didn’t even look back. To escape from there, he had to make sacrifices. If Ye Qing messed with him, he really wouldn’t be able to leave. Thus, he was prepared to abandon this subordinate as well.

”No point in shouting; your life is not as valuable as his!” Ye Qing said.

Seeing he could no longer rely on Boss Lin, the man turned and looked at Ye Qing, his voice trembling, ”What... what are you going to do to me? Why are you keeping me here?”

Ye Qing said nothing and pulled the man by the collar into the living room. The group of disabled people and children in the living room, scared by the weapons in the hands of Boss Lin’s men, were shivering and curling up in corners, none daring to raise their heads.

Ye Qing dragged the man in front of the child he had hit before, who was now unconscious, with fresh blood still streaming from his forehead.

”Kneel!” Ye Qing commanded calmly.

The several disabled people and children opposite him immediately knelt to the ground, as if by reflex.

”I wasn’t talking to you...” Ye Qing hastily helped them stand up, then turned and glared at the man, saying, ”You, kneel down!”

The man shuddered, looking at the disabled people and children he usually bullied. He really didn’t want to kneel.

”Eldest Brother, please... give me some face...” the man said with a quivering voice.

”Face?” Ye Qing looked at him coldly and suddenly slapped him across the face.

The man stumbled several steps backwards, his ears ringing and vision blurring, and then sat down hard on the floor. His entire right cheek swelled up, his mouth and nose bleeding, and he was stunned.

The force of Ye Qing’s slap was truly frightening. If Ye Qing had not controlled his strength, the blow could have easily knocked the man out.

The disabled people and children watching were left in shock, but in their eyes was also a sense of vindictive satisfaction.

Ye Qing sighed. He understood why these disabled people and children harbored such deep resentment. They had suffered no small amount of bullying from this man, each harboring a suppressed rage in their heart. Now that Ye Qing had hit the man, they also felt a release.

”Kneel down!” Ye Qing repeated.

This time the man hesitated no longer and immediately knelt down crisply.

”Eldest Brother, don’t kill me...” the man begged in a trembling voice.

”Don’t worry, I won’t kill you!” Ye Qing walked behind the man and said, ”I am a fair man. However you treated them, I will treat you the same!”

”What?” Before the man could react, Ye Qing kicked him in the back. The man immediately fell forward, sliding three or four meters across the floor, and his head hit the wall with a heavy thud, bleeding just like the child.

Only then did the man understand what Ye Qing meant. He had kicked the child the same way earlier. He had not expected retribution to come so swiftly.

While Ye Qing was focused on dealing with the man, Boss Lin was quietly observing him. Seeing that Ye Qing’s back was turned with no hint of defense, Boss Lin quietly gestured to a few of his men.

The men understood the signal, exchanged glances, and at the same moment turned around, lunging to grab Ye Qing by the waist.

They had seen Ye Qing’s strength, and they knew they had little chance of defeating him head-on. But with this surprise attack, if they could just bring Ye Qing down, their six to seventy men could stack up on him and suffocate Ye Qing to death!
