Urban Martial Saint

When Ye saw Long Hair held down, everyone was very surprised. Qian Mingming had been searched out by Wang Tiezhu, so what was the meaning of Ye hitting Long Hair?

”Ye, at this time, you still want to protect him?” Huang Bin stepped back, watching Ye warily and said, ”He’s a thief, we should have some reason in what we do, right?”

Ye handed Lin Huayu’s phone to Huang Bin, saying, ”Look at it, then talk.”

Huang Bin took the phone with confusion; the video was just playing. After watching the video, Huang Bin’s face turned green. After a moment of silence, he suddenly kicked Long Hair in the waist and cursed, ”Bastard, it was you all along!”

The classmates were all stunned; most of them still didn’t know what was happening. Huang Bin passed Lin Huayu’s phone around for everyone to see, and after seeing what Ye had filmed, everyone immediately understood what had happened.

”What’s going on? What’s going on? It has nothing to do with me...” Long Hair still didn’t know what was happening and said anxiously, ”The money was found on him, why are you hitting me?”

”Hitting you is letting you off easy!” A male student shouted, came over, and slapped Long Hair twice, indignantly said, ”It’s one thing to steal, but framing Wang Tiezhu? How the hell did someone like you even get into university?”

”It’s plain moral depravity, a lack of home upbringing!”

A girl nearby cursed angrily, gathering around Long Hair and pointing, some even went up and slapped him several times.

Finally, someone showed the video to Long Hair. His face immediately turned green, and he finally realized what had happened. Seeing the righteous anger on everyone’s faces, he hurriedly waved his hands pleading, ”I know I was wrong, I know I was wrong, please forgive me, I won’t ever dare again...”

”There’s a next time?” Huang Bin gritted his teeth and gave Long Hair several kicks, angrily said, ”You son of a bitch, you almost had me wrongly accuse a good person. I was also saying, how could a man as dignified as Wang Tiezhu possibly steal?”

”Yes, I felt it couldn’t be Wang Tiezhu.”

”Although he’s poor, he has dignity, he wouldn’t do such a thing!”

The crowd clamored to vindicate Wang Tiezhu, having completely forgotten how they had just been certain of his guilt.

As Long Hair was being beaten for a while, Ye finally intervened to stop everyone. Long Hair curled up on the ground, covered in footprints, groaning in pain.

”Ye, don’t protect him. Such a person needs to be taught a lesson, otherwise, he’ll be a menace anywhere he goes!” Huang Bin said indignantly.

”Right, call the police, send him to prison!”

”Expel him!”

The crowd kept shouting, Ye ignored them and turned to Wang Tiezhu in the corner, asking, ”What do you want to do with him?”

The crowd immediately looked at Wang Tiezhu, Huang Bin quickly said, ”Right, we should ask Tiezhu; Tiezhu is the real victim here.”

”Tiezhu, don’t be afraid, just say whatever you want to do. We’re at the university, we’ll back you up!” a male student said loudly.

”Wang Tiezhu, kick him out of the university, don’t let this menace to society stay here!”

The crowd continually gave Wang Tiezhu advice. He was quite embarrassed and didn’t say a word for a long while.

”Don’t be afraid, just say whatever you want to do.” Ye comforted.

Wang Tiezhu took a deep breath, bolstered his courage, and said, ”He... he’s already hurt, maybe... maybe let it go?”

”What?” Everyone was surprised, even Lin Huayu widened her eyes and said, ”Pillar, what do you mean let it go? He not only stole but was trying to frame you too. If it weren’t for Ye uncovering his schemes, maybe you would be the one getting beaten now. Let it go? How can this be let go?”

”Pillar, you don’t need to worry about him retaliating. I’m here, if he dares to trouble you, I’ll deal with him myself!” Huang Bin said loudly.

”Yes, we have so many people here, no need to be afraid of him!”

Wang Tiezhu bowed his head, silently waiting for the hubbub to die down, then finally said quietly, ”It’s not easy for anyone to be studying. If we pursue this, his academic career will be over. We are all classmates... give him one more chance...”

Ye looked at Wang Tiezhu; although he was still so self-conscious, Ye’s regard for him was very high. Ye remembered a lesson from a teacher in the past that to become an outstanding leader, one must have the heart to embrace others. And Wang Tiezhu, this seemingly self-conscious poor student, already had this magnanimous heart. According to the teacher’s words, he was indeed a talent worth utilizing!

Ye couldn’t do it, as he couldn’t stand injustice. But Wang Tiezhu could, and that was the biggest difference between him and Ye. If he could enter politics in the future, he would definitely do well!

”Since Pillar has said that, let’s give him a chance!” Ye lifted Long Hair up and said, ”Let’s make sure this doesn’t happen again!”

”I won’t dare anymore, I will never dare to steal again...” Long Hair pleaded miserably.

”I was talking about you framing others!” Ye’s gaze turned icy, and he said in a stern voice, ”If I catch you again, I will break both your hands!”

Long Hair shuddered and nodded repeatedly, showing his resolve.

Seeing Ye say this, classmates had no choice but to discuss the issue among themselves with indignation.

Long Hair could be considered to have escaped death this time. He got up from the ground, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, walked up to Wang Tiezhu, and bowed, ”Thank you, and sorry about before!”

Wang Tiezhu waved his hands hurriedly and said, ”It’s okay, it’s okay, your injury... perhaps you should get it treated first...”

Long Hair didn’t speak, but in his eyes directed at Wang Tiezhu, there was genuine gratitude and admiration.

As noon approached, everyone dispersed to have lunch. Huang Bin insistently pulled Wang Tiezhu to treat him to lunch, wanting to express his apologies.

Unable to resist, Wang Tiezhu could only follow Huang Bin to the restaurant. Huang Bin ordered quite a bit of food, and this was the first time since arriving at the school that Wang Tiezhu sat at a table to eat food that was not leftovers from someone else.

Ye Qing and Lin Hua Yu were sitting not far away, and Huang Bin smiled pleasingly at Ye. Today’s incident had once again demonstrated Ye’s capabilities. Now, besides being uneducated, in their eyes, Ye was almost seen as omnipotent in every other aspect.

In fact, they didn’t know that Ye was much more educated than anyone present there. Although Shenchuan University was a domestically renowned university, it was still far behind Northern University.

After eating, Wang Tiezhu, as usual, packed the leftover food in a bag he carried with him.

Seeing him do this, Huang Bin couldn’t help but ask, ”Pillar, why do you pack up this food every day? If you don’t have money, you can apply for scholarships from the school. Eating would definitely not be a problem. The weather is getting a bit hot now, the food you pack will be smelly by evening, how can you eat that?”

Wang Tiezhu gave a sheepish smile, he didn’t explain but carefully packed up the food from the table.

Huang Bin shrugged helplessly and said, ”Then you shouldn’t be packing leftovers. Let me order you a few more dishes.”

”No need, no need,” Wang Tiezhu hurriedly waved his hand and said, ”This is fine, let’s not waste it.”

Huang Bin couldn’t persuade Wang Tiezhu, and seeing him pack a bag full of leftover food, he was even more puzzled.

Even Ye found Wang Tiezhu’s daily collection of leftover food strange. He left school immediately every day, didn’t live there, went out to set up a night stall in the evening, why did he need to collect these leftovers?

As soon as the afternoon classes ended, Lin Zhen Nan personally came to the school to pick up Lin Hua Yu for a family gathering. That afternoon, Ye was somewhat freed from his obligation to follow Lin Hua Yu around.

With nothing better to do, Ye decided to follow behind Wang Tiezhu to see what he did with so much leftover food every day.

Wang Tiezhu, feeling rather inferior, always walked with his head down, unaware that someone was following him. He left the university town and entered a nearby dilapidated village. This place had not been developed yet; it was filled with low houses and could be considered the poorest area in Shenchuan City, also known as a slum of Shenchuan City, with most houses constructed from boards.

Ye followed behind Wang Tiezhu, winding through the village for a couple of rounds, and finally came to a rundown shack made of boards.

The shack was ramshackle, its walls tattered and windowless, dark inside. From afar, there was hardly any furniture in it, just a wooden bed which occupied almost half of the space. Beside it, an armchair took up most of the remaining space.

Ye stood at the corner, watching Wang Tiezhu bustling about inside the shack, struggling for a while before he moved an armchair out and carried a woman in her forties or fifties out, placing her on the armchair.

This woman sitting in the armchair couldn’t move at all, likely due to being paralyzed. Wang Tiezhu changed her cloth pad and brought out the lunch food, feeding her bit by bit with great care. Throughout the process, he moved slowly, fearing that she might choke. From time to time, he fed her water and took extremely careful care of her.

After finishing feeding her, Wang Tiezhu placed the remaining food in a bowl and put it on a small table in the room, saying to the woman, ”Mom, I’m going off to set up the stall. When sister comes back, let her eat first before doing homework.”

Having finished giving instructions, Wang Tiezhu took out a backpack from the room and quickly left. From the end of school until now, he had hardly had a chance to catch his breath.

Watching from a distance, Ye felt a deep melancholy in his heart. During his university days, he was also very poor. However, compared to Wang Tiezhu, he was much better off. His father, Ye Changwen, sent him money every month, while Wang Tiezhu not only had no money each month but also had to care for a paralyzed mother and a sister who was still in school.

No wonder he had to bring home so much leftover food every day—he had a family to feed!

Watching Wang Tiezhu’s busy silhouette, Ye suddenly remembered what Zhao Cheng Shuang had entrusted to him. Perhaps, he could help Wang Tiezhu find a better job?
