Urban Martial Saint

Four people lunged at him simultaneously, the nearest one reaching him first, grabbing Ye Qing around the waist and attempting to bring him down to the ground. The other three followed suit, pressing down on him in unison, unconcerned with the injuries they might receive, determined to take Ye Qing down.

Seeing his subordinate succeed, Boss Lin’s face lit up with joy, and he hurriedly turned around to signal others to join in. However, Ye Qing suddenly turned around, his right hand clenched into a fist, and he struck hard at the chest of the man who was pouncing on him.

This man, weighing nearly one hundred and forty kilograms, lunged with significant momentum. But after Ye Qing’s punch connected, it was as though he had hit a wall, rebounding immediately without managing to hold onto Ye Qing.

Meanwhile, the other two had reached him and, along with the first man, they successfully gripped Ye Qing.

”Get him! Quick!” Boss Lin shouted urgently, and his other minions took his cue, rushing towards Ye Qing.

Ye Qing took a half-step back with his right foot and slightly sunk his waist, letting out a loud shout. With a forceful effort, he broke free from the grip of the two men holding him. The two men, even with their combined strength, couldn’t contain Ye Qing and, realizing they were in trouble as his arms broke free, tried to turn and retreat in haste.

But Ye Qing’s fists were faster, landing a punch on each of them. They fell forward to the ground, unable to even climb back up.

At this moment, Boss Lin’s subordinates hadn’t yet reached Ye Qing. As Ye Qing suddenly turned his head to look at them, the two leading men shuddered and instinctively stopped their advance. Their hesitation caused the others following to halt their steps as well.

Boss Lin was on the verge of collapse; he knew this hard-won opportunity had been squandered.

The man holding onto Ye Qing’s waist, sensing danger, hurriedly let go and tried to escape. Ye Qing grabbed hold of his collar in one swift move and kicked behind the man’s knee, bringing him down to his knees.

Without so much as a glance at the man, Ye Qing coldly faced the twenty-odd people before him and said harshly, ”Get lost!”

The group obediently backed away. Apart from Boss Lin, nobody dared speak to them in such a manner. Yet, now none dared utter a word in response.

The two men on the ground struggled to crawl away, but Ye Qing walked over and kicked each one again. They immediately lay still. He then grabbed the kneeling man, hitting him hard in the face with his fist. The man’s nose and mouth bled profusely, his nose obviously broken, and he collapsed on the ground, clutching his face, rolling in pain without being able to utter a sound.

Witnessing Ye Qing’s brutality, Boss Lin’s lackeys trembled with fear and secretly congratulated themselves for not having been the ones who had approached Ye Qing.

Ye Qing had deliberately demonstrated his ruthlessness to serve as a warning to the others. He gave Boss Lin a cold stare and said, ”Pack up your things and don’t try any tricks. Your tactics are useless against me and will only cause you further embarrassment.”

Boss Lin shivered with anger and responded coldly, ”Ye, we’ll see about that!”

In fifteen minutes, Boss Lin and his people destroyed all the key evidence and clues, then left in a hurry in their vehicle.

During that time, Ye Qing checked on all of the people with disabilities, but his brother Ye Jun was nowhere to be found. His heart filled with urgency, he pondered why Ye Jun wasn’t among the people and children there in Boss Lin’s custody. Could it be that his brother had met with some misfortune?

Ye Qing dared not dwell on it, but he had made up his mind. He had to see Ye Jun alive or, at the very least, find his body. He was determined to find his brother no matter what.

Guessing that Zhao Chengshuang’s men would soon arrive, Ye Qing broke the legs and arms of the five subordinates left behind by Boss Lin, leaving them in the same condition as the disabled people. He then instructed the disabled individuals to wait there for the police to arrive and not to wander off.

After giving instructions, Ye Qing got ready to leave but his gaze inadvertently caught sight of a skinny six- or seven-year-old boy in a corner. The boy, thin and lean like the other children, had deep-set eyes that gave him an intelligent look.

But what truly caught Ye Qing’s attention was the white wolf tooth pendant hanging from the boy’s neck. Ye Qing recognized it—it was a gift from Third Master Li. When he went off to university, Ye Qing had given this pendant to his younger brother, Ye Jun.

Now, not finding Ye Jun here but seeing the pendant, Ye Qing was almost certain that his brother had been here, at least the little boy must know something about him!

Ye Qing approached, intending to ask a few questions, but suddenly his phone rang. Ye Qing knew it was Zhao Chengshuang urging him to leave. Zhao Chengshuang was aware that he must have hurt many people, so to avoid capturing him on the scene, they had agreed to give him a call as a signal when they were close. This meant that Zhao Chengshuang and his men could arrive in no more than three minutes.

Unable to linger, Ye Qing picked up the little boy and hurried into the yard.

Scar Lee was still lying in the courtyard. Ye Qing walked over, kicked him twice, and commanded, ”Get up, let’s go!”

Scar Lee did not respond as if he was unconscious. Ye Qing shot him a glance and said coldly, ”If you don’t want to move, I’ll break your legs first!”

Upon hearing this, Scar Lee leaped to his feet with a smile plastered across his face, ”Ye, where... where to?”

Ye Qing ignored him, holding the little boy as he turned and walked out of the yard. Scar Lee hurriedly followed, daring not to pull any tricks in front of Ye Qing anymore. He knew he was no match for Ye Qing in either brains or brawn!

Escorted by Scar Lee, Ye Qing walked down the small path and after about a mile, urgent police sirens sounded behind them—it was Zhao Chengshuang leading his team over.

What was happening behind him was no longer Ye Qing’s concern. He carried the little boy, with Scar Lee in tow, to the side of the highway, where they hitched a ride on a truck and returned to the urban area.

Ye Qing found another small motel to settle Scar Lee in. No sooner had they entered than Scar Lee immediately knelt down, trembling as he said, ”Ye, I... I... I didn’t do it on purpose tonight. Please give me another chance... ”

Ye Qing put the little boy on the bed and coldly glanced at Scar Lee, saying, ”Get up!”

”Ye, if you won’t forgive me, I... I won’t get up...” Scar Lee’s voice shook.

”Then keep kneeling!” Ye Qing ignored him, turning his head to look at the little boy. Trying to make his tone gentle, he asked, ”Kid, where did you get this Wolf Tooth Pendant from?”

The little boy wasn’t the least bit shy, his eyes exuding a calmness and wisdom completely at odds with his age. He looked at the Wolf Tooth Pendant and said, ”A big brother gave it to me.”

”Oh?” Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat, anxiously asking, ”What about this big brother now? Where did he go? Was he caught with you? Was he also forced to beg by these people?”

Hearing this, Scar Lee couldn’t help but chime in, ”So you really are looking for someone. But tonight, there was no one inside that matched the person in your photo. People die here every day, the person you’re looking for... he might not be alive anymore...”

”Shut up!” Ye Qing glared at him, and Scar Lee immediately covered his mouth, not daring to speak.

Ye Qing looked at the little boy nervously, too concerned about his brother Ye Jun to remain calm.

”He’s also disabled. We were locked up together a while ago. But three days ago, he and a few others were picked and taken away, and we don’t know for what. Before he left, he gave me this pendant and said it would keep me safe,” the little boy said with a gentle sigh. ”Now that he’s without this pendant, I don’t know if he can stay safe.”

Ye Qing’s eyes fell on the pendant, and his heart sank. Being chosen by these people usually meant they were targeted for organ harvesting. Could it be that his brother Ye Jun had already fallen victim to their cruelty?

Scar Lee, kneeling on the side, guessed the situation from Ye Qing’s expression. In a rush, he signaled to Ye Qing, saying, ”Ye, Ye, I know where your brother went...”

”Where did he go!” Ye Qing immediately turned his head and glared at him.

Scar Lee shivered and said with a trembling voice, ”If... if I tell you, can it save my life?”

Ye Qing’s voice was firm, ”As long as you’re not lying, and as long as I can find my brother, I guarantee that you will live fully and intact!”

Relieved, Scar Lee got up from the floor, dusting his knees. He said, ”If this kid is telling the truth, then your brother might not be dead yet.”

”Then where is he!” Ye Qing grabbed Scar Lee’s clothes, his expression intense.

Scar Lee hurriedly explained, ”Three days ago we did pick out ten people to take a shipment to Yun Province. Based on the timing, they should have just arrived in Yun Province. They’ll probably need another six or seven days to return.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Qing breathed a sigh of relief. Looking at Scar Lee, he demanded, ”Where in Yun Province? Which route did they take? Can we find them?”

”I don’t know that. Old Lin is very cautious. For procuring and dispatching goods, he uses different channels, and the people from each don’t know the others’ business. Just as with this secret storage point, I know of it, but those responsible for procuring don’t.

The same goes for the procurement line—besides Old Lin and those few in charge, no one knows,” Scar Lee paused before continuing, ”And even if I knew, it would be useless. Old Lin now definitely suspects I’m in league with you, and he would’ve changed the route by now.”

Ye Qing frowned, knowing that Scar Lee was telling the truth. It seemed that saving his brother, Ye Jun, would only be possible once the shipment was brought back to Shenchuan City.

Regardless, now that he had some news about his brother Ye Jun, it was much better than having no clue at all. Filled with hope, Ye Qing looked forward to those six or seven days when the procurement team would return, by which time Black Bear’s injuries should also be mostly healed. Then, he would face Old Lin head-on.

Of course, Ye Qing wouldn’t be idle during these days. He intended to make Old Lin’s life a living hell!
