The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1386: Chapter 1386: Master Has an Unexpected Change of Plans

Shu Yu thought that life would just go on methodically like this, and after half a month, her master would return.

Young Master Tan was almost cured of his poison, and Old Doctor Zhao and Ah Ning could go home.

There was also Meng Yunzheng, who had just finished his provincial exam, and then they would wait for him to reunite with them.

She thought it was all quite lovely, but then, two days before the half month was up, she suddenly received a letter from Meng Yunzheng.

Shu Yu found it very strange. He had already finished the exam, so he should have just come back when the results were out; there should have been no need to write a letter.

Especially since this letter was specially sent by someone on horseback at an extra cost.

With suspicion, Shu Yu opened the letter, and then she was stunned.

In the letter, Meng Yunzheng said he had met the Dongqing Temple master in Changjin Prefecture, and the next stop for the master was the capital.

He knew Shu Yu definitely wanted to meet the temple master, and if she missed this chance, who knew when the next one would be?

So he would try to hold back the temple master temporarily and asked Shu Yu to go to Changjin Prefecture.

Shu Yu was completely dumbfounded. The next stop is the capital?????

At this point, wasn’t she supposed to be on her way back? Why was she in Changjin Prefecture, and why was she heading in the completely opposite direction to the capital?

Shu Yu had a terrible headache. Immediately, she ran to the Dongqing Temple without saying a word.

The Daoist Nun Qiu was silent for a moment and thought to herself, surely, the temple master’s letter was just like the previous ones.

She cleared her throat lightly and explained the situation to Shu Yu.

Shu Yu felt like she was struck by lightning, “Weren’t they supposed to not lie as people of the temple?? Liars.”

She trusted them so much!!

Daoist Nun Qiu was silent for a while again, then lifted her head, her eyes clearly saying that she hadn’t lied.

Shu Yu recalled her words, and it truly was the case. She felt Senior Sister Qiu had become cunning.

She was so angry, too angry to say a single word.

Shu Yu gulped down two large cups of water before she calmed down. “Bring me my master’s letter again so I can have a look.”

Daoist Nun Qiu handed it to her, and sure enough, Shu Yu saw four words on it—’unless something unexpected happened.’

So, her master wasn’t exactly lying, was she?

She stood up suddenly and turned to leave.

Daoist Nun Qiu quickly caught up a few steps and asked, “Are you going to Changjin Prefecture to find the temple master?”

“Yes.”

“Then please wait a moment.”

Shu Yu turned her head in confusion, only to see Daoist Nun Qiu rush out and return shortly with a package and a letter, which she handed over. “Please trouble you to give these things to the temple master.”

Shu Yu, “…”

Almost feeling murderous, she had just endured the blow of being ‘deceived’ by them, okay???

She took a deep breath and looked up at Daoist Nun Qiu, who had a sincere and pleading look.

“Haha.” Shu Yu grabbed the package and letter, turned around, and walked away with heavy footsteps.

If she stayed any longer, she feared she might have a heart attack.

After going home, she almost didn’t hesitate and immediately decided to take a trip to Changjin Prefecture.

Her master’s whereabouts were unpredictable, making it extremely difficult to meet her. Even when she was consciously looking for her, she still could miss her for two years.

Now that she finally knew her whereabouts, she definitely needed to meet her.

She explained the situation to her family and began to pack her luggage.

The old lady and others were, of course, supportive and encouraging of her. The Dongqing Temple master was essentially a benefactor to their entire family, yet they had always missed the chance to meet.

Shu Yu didn’t take a carriage this time and chose to ride a horse because it was quicker.
