The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1371: Chapter 1371: Staying at Dongqing Temple

Shu Yu didn’t mention exactly where she would be staying in the prefecture yesterday, and the Xiao Family thought she might find a quiet little courtyard in the city for her to temporarily reside.

Although she had stayed in Jiangyuan County for some time, she was not familiar with Dongan Province, and she was somewhat anxious.

However, after Shu Yu took the Xiao Family into the city, they didn’t find a place to stay; instead, she took them to buy a lot of daily supplies.

“The place I am taking you to isn’t very convenient for shopping. If there’s anything you want to buy, take the opportunity to look now. If you want to purchase anything later, it would be better to have the servants buy them.”

The Xiao Family was a bit dazed, but they still followed Shu Yu’s instructions, purchasing all the necessary items.

Actually, she had no experience, so after mentioning a few things she wanted, she didn’t know what else to buy. Therefore, most of the items were prepared by Shu Yu, and the Xiao Family just had to pay.

After buying the items, Shu Yu took the Xiao Family out of the city again.

The Xiao Family was stunned, “We aren’t staying in the city?”

“No, we’re not staying in the city.” The carriage stopped shortly after leaving the city, and Shu Yu pointed to the mountain not far away, “Right there.”

The Xiao Family looked up in the direction she pointed, the mountain??

“That is…”

“Dongqing Temple.”

The Xiao Family’s eyes widened, “Is that the Dongqing Temple?”

The reputation of Dongqing Temple is known by anyone with some influence in the capital; the incense offerings here are thriving, and there’s a mysterious Dongqing Temple master.

When the Xiao Family came to Jiangyuan County last year, they had wanted to visit Dongqing Temple.

But Xiang Weinan forbade her, saying the journey was long and unsafe, and that the Dongqing Temple master was not in the temple.

Back then, the Xiao Family did not want to defy Xiang Weinan’s wishes; having just arrived, they did not want to cause trouble. He said not to go, so they did not.

Therefore, this is the Xiao Family’s first time seeing Dongqing Temple.

Living in a temple, that’s obviously the best situation.

Moreover, Dongqing Temple is full of Daoist nuns, and with the Dongqing Temple master as a formidable figure, there is no need to worry about safety or privacy.

But the only worry is… Will they allow her to stay? She plans to stay for more than just ten days.

Even though she hasn’t been to Dongqing Temple, she knows that they don’t easily accommodate outsiders.

It is said that Dongqing Temple allows pilgrims to rest temporarily, staying for a day or two without issues, but no one has ever lived there long-term.

Thinking about this, the Xiao Family became increasingly anxious.

Dongqing Temple cannot be offended.

Just as she was hesitating whether to discuss finding another place with Shu Yu, the group was already standing at the entrance of Dongqing Temple.

The Xiao Family was still wearing a curtain hat, while Shu Yu walked in confidently.

Upon entering, she headed to the backyard; the Xiao Family was startled and hurried to catch up, “Shu Yu, maybe we should…”

“Why is the young lady here?” The backyard had guards, and ordinary people couldn’t enter.

But Shu Yu entered openly, and the guarding Daoist nun didn’t stop her.

However, the two guards the Xiao Family brought were stopped.

Shu Yu said to the Xiao Family, “This is a Daoist temple, and the main hall is fine, but it’s not suitable for men to enter the backyard. Let them wait outside.”

The Xiao Family nodded to the two guards.

Inside the courtyard, Shu Yu saw Daoist Nun Zheng watering plants over there.

She had a momentary twist in her expression, “…” Why is it every time she comes, Daoist Nun Zheng is always watering plants?

“Young lady?” Daoist Nun Zheng put down the item in her hand, came forward, and her inquisitive gaze shifted between her and the Xiao Family.
