The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1365: Chapter 1365: Have Shu Yu Get Ready

Shu Yu finished reading the letter and folded it neatly. But halfway through, she noticed that on the back of the last sheet of paper, there was an additional sentence.

She twitched her mouth and flipped it over to look.

The next moment, her brows furrowed. The sentence carried an inexplicable feeling—Please Monarch Lu Xiang be prepared.

Prepared? Prepared for what? What should she prepare for?

Shu Yu thought and thought but couldn’t figure it out, so she went to find Zhao Xi.

Zhao Xi was accompanying the pregnant Shuyou for a walk. Shuyou was more than five months pregnant, her belly slightly bulging, and Zhao Xi was extremely careful.

Seeing Shu Yu coming over, he even blamed her for interrupting his family time.

Shu Yu resisted the urge to roll her eyes and asked him to read the letter, hoping he could figure it out.

Zhao Xi could only let the servants support Shuyou and walked back to the house with Shu Yu.

If Shu Yu couldn’t figure it out, it was unlikely Zhao Xi could.

His brows almost knitted into a knot before he uncertainly said, “Does the letter mean that the capital is about to become chaotic, and it might affect you and… Yun? We all know the relationship between the Second Prince and Yun. Will they look for trouble with Yun then?”

Shu Yu thought that this possibility was very high.

The Second Prince should know that Yun is his brother, but it was Yun who exposed Gong Qiu’s crimes, which led to the exposure of Gong Qiu’s secret chamber, and the rebellion evidence being found.

The Second Prince must be resentful toward Yun, and might even seek revenge against him.

Qi Lie asking her to be prepared was probably to handle the Second Prince’s counterattack?

But what could she prepare for? Hire more bodyguards around her?

Shu Yu had a headache—Qi Lie’s words were too unclear.

Nevertheless, she still passed this message to Meng Yunzheng.

Afterward, she continued to busy herself with the workshop’s affairs, since she never knew when the Emperor would take action against the Third Prince and others. She couldn’t afford to be on edge all the time and not work.

The weather gradually warmed up. Another half month, and the provincial exam would begin.

After Meng Yunzheng finished the exam, he could come back, and Shu Yu was indeed looking forward to it.

The sunflowers began to mature, their large flower disks weighed the stems down. Although the scenery was still nice, it wasn’t as beautiful as before.

The visitors who came to enjoy the flowers gradually stopped coming, and Lu Sixing and the others packed up their stalls.

However, the four of them earned quite a bit this time. After splitting the money, each one surprisingly received over twenty taels of silver.

It had only been a month, and they made so much, they were deliriously happy.

They stored the items they used for the stalls at the Manor and decided to set up stalls again during the next flower season to earn more money.

Another ten days or so later, it was time to harvest the sunflowers.

Shu Yu energetically arrived at the Manor, dressed neatly and wearing a straw hat, to join everyone in the fields.

She was used to doing this, and watching as cartloads of sunflower flower disks were harvested and piled in the workshop gave her a deep sense of satisfaction.

With many hands in the field, it took just two or three days to finish most of the work.

As Shu Yu was harvesting the last acre, someone suddenly called her from outside the fence.

“Lu Sanzhu, someone is looking for you.”

Shu Yu wiped the sweat with her sleeve, emerged from the flowers, took a sip of water, and asked, “Who’s looking for me?”

“I don’t know. The person is sitting in a carriage, seems to have come from out of town. As soon as they arrived, they asked if Monarch Lu Xiang was here, so I came to report.”
