The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1372: Chapter 1372: You’re the Temple Master’s Disciple?!

Shu Yu snapped back to reality and immediately smiled, saying to Daoist Nun Zheng, ”Senior Sister Zheng, I’ve come to ask for a favor.”

Xiao Family was taken aback, looking in surprise at her and... Daoist Nun Zheng.

So they know each other.

Daoist Nun Zheng’s expression was gentle, ”Feel free to speak, Miss.”

”This is a friend of mine. She’s hit a rough patch and is now homeless. It’s inconvenient for her to stay with me, so I was hoping she could temporarily stay at the temple. Could you, Senior Sister Zheng, lend a hand?”

Daoist Nun Zheng furrowed her brows, and the Xiao Family suddenly became nervous, tugging slightly at Shu Yu’s sleeve.

Even if she was acquainted with the Daoist nun, the vast Dongqing Temple wasn’t hers to decide alone.

As expected, Daoist Nun Zheng became troubled, ”Miss, this isn’t easy. Dongqing Temple typically doesn’t get involved in worldly affairs. A stay of one or two days could be managed, but longer would be inconvenient.”

Although Daoist Nun Zheng didn’t know what difficulty Shu Yu was referring to, she could guess that anything too awkward to arrange even at her own home must not be a trivial matter.

The Xiao Family was already mentally prepared and wasn’t surprised by Daoist Nun Zheng’s words.

Though disappointed, she didn’t want to trouble others.

However, she wasn’t willing to make it difficult, while Shu Yu seemed intent on staying there.

She took two steps forward and looped her arm through Daoist Nun Zheng’s arm under Xiao Family’s puzzled gaze, ”But Senior Sister Zheng, you just said if I needed help, I should just ask.”

Daoist Nun Zheng was helpless, ”But I didn’t say for sure that I could make it happen.”

”Your words don’t make sense. This isn’t a difficult thing. You said newcomers can only stay for one or two days, but I stayed for about a month before. So there’s a precedent, right?”

Upon hearing this, the Xiao Family realized with a start that Shu Yu had indeed stayed at Dongqing Temple before, no wonder she was so familiar with the place and seemed to have a good relationship with the Daoist nun.

Daoist Nun Zheng was becoming increasingly helpless, ”Miss, that’s different. You are the temple master’s apprentice, so naturally, you can stay as long as you wish.”

Xiao Family suddenly raised her head. What did the Daoist nun just say? The temple master’s apprentice?

Shu Yu didn’t notice her expression and continued bargaining with Daoist Nun Zheng, ”Now, the person staying here is the apprentice’s friend, who is also quite close to the temple master, right? This should be negotiable.”

Daoist Nun Zheng, ”...” Every time she spoke with the young lady, she felt that even if she was extremely focused, she’d still be tangled up by her logic.

In the end, she simply shrugged, ”Miss, I’m not in a position to make that decision.”

”No problem, then let’s bring in Senior Sister Qiu to discuss. If both of you agree, it’s done. If that’s not enough, we can ask the other senior sisters of the temple, and if anyone disagrees, I’ll persuade them.”

Daoist Nun Zheng, ”...” She was left with no argument.

Fine, it’s better to let Senior Sister Qiu decide on such a headache of a matter.

Daoist Nun Zheng turned her head and instructed the young Daoist nun to find someone in the front hall, but she knew in her heart that Senior Sister Qiu would definitely agree.

Though Senior Sister Qiu was verbose and serious, strict with others, and seen as unapproachable by outsiders,

in front of Shu Yu, Senior Sister Qiu was almost always the one to compromise.

Daoist Nun Zheng shook her head while leading the two inside to get them some tea, inviting them to drink while they waited.

Seeing Daoist Nun Zheng engaged with the arrangements, the Xiao Family quickly sidled up to Shu Yu, whispering in shock, ”You, you’re the temple master’s apprentice of Dongqing Temple?”
