Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Ou Jingya finished her shower, returned to her bedroom, and lay down on the bed.

She thought about her mom’s reminder from earlier and what had happened with Xu Yun in the woods tonight.

’I wonder what my relationship with my senior is now,’ she thought.

’A senior and junior who’ve kissed?’

’Or just friends of the opposite sex who’ve had intimate contact?’

’Or maybe it was just a junior’s act of kindness to fulfill her senior’s regret?’

She didn’t know how to define her relationship with Xu Yun.

But she knew one thing for sure: if she let her feelings for Xu Yun continue to develop like this, she would undoubtedly become the bad woman who interfered in someone else’s relationship.

Although he wasn’t married, meaning she was technically in fair competition and not even a ”homewrecker,” she still felt she was in the wrong from a moral standpoint.

’But based on how my senior acted today, it doesn’t seem like he likes his girlfriend all that much,’ she mused.

’If that’s true, does that mean I can try to win him over?’

’For my own happiness, and for my senior’s future happiness.’

With this in mind, Ou Jingya picked up her phone and sent Xu Yun a message.

[Senior, I’m home.]

Xu Yun: [What a coincidence. I just got home too. I’m already in bed.]

[Senior, can I ask you a question?]

Xu Yun: [Go ahead.]

[Do you really like your current girlfriend?]

Xu Yun: [Who told you I have a girlfriend? I certainly never said that.]

[Huh?]

Ou Jingya stared at Xu Yun’s reply, completely stunned.

’What does my senior mean by that?’

’He doesn’t have a girlfriend?!’

’How could he not have a girlfriend?’

Ou Jingya couldn’t wait to ask.

This answer was too important to her.

[My mom told me! She said you had a girlfriend.]

After sending that message, she blushed and quickly sent another.

[And you also said today that your girlfriend wouldn’t mind me kissing you.]

Xu Yun: [That was a misunderstanding on Teacher Wu’s part. I didn’t bother explaining it to her at the time.]

Xu Yun: [As for her not minding... please. I don’t even have a girlfriend, so what is there for her to mind?]

Reading Xu Yun’s answer, Ou Jingya shot up in bed, her face beaming with a joy she couldn’t contain.

[Then what about the women around you?]

Xu Yun: [A rich man is never short of female company. They are all my confidantes.]

[So you’re saying they’re all women who want to be your girlfriend?]

Xu Yun: [You could understand it that way.]

[So, do you like them? Do you have feelings for any of them?]

Xu Yun: [Junior, between adults, there’s more than just ’like.’ There are also exchanges of benefits. Don’t be so narrow-minded.]

[I get it. They’re all after your money, right?]

Ou Jingya laughed: [And you’re after their bodies. Senior, you’re so bad!]

Xu Yun: [Now that’s just nonsense. I’m a young man in my twenties, at the peak of my virility. You can’t expect me to use my hand every night, can you? And going to prostitutes is out of the question. I don’t do illegal things.]

[...]

Ou Jingya stared at her phone screen and blushed.

Although her senior’s words sounded crude, they were the truth.

’That’s my senior for you,’ she thought. ’It’s not like I don’t have similar frustrations myself.’

’It’s just that I’m able to control myself and not think about those things!’

Xu Yun: [Back in college, an old professor at Jiang University once told me something. It’s crude, but I think it makes a lot of sense.]

[What was it?]

Xu Yun: [”Rich men ’follow the Way’ and nourish their ’roots’; poor men watch a screen and tax their hands.”]

Xu Yun: [He said if you don’t study hard in school, this is the reality you’ll face in the real world.]

[(⊙o⊙)...]

Ou Jingya was struck speechless.

She asked curiously: [Which professor said that?]

Xu Yun: [I can’t just sell out the old professor. You can forget about finding out...]

Xu Yun: [Also, I know what you’re thinking right now. I’ve given you your answer, so don’t feel guilty anymore. You haven’t wronged anyone, and you’re not anyone’s ’other woman’. Just go to sleep. I hope you have sweet dreams. Good night.]

[Xu Yun, good night.]

After replying with the change in address, Ou Jingya lay back on her bed, completely satisfied.

Before, she had always called him ”senior” for two reasons. First, to close the distance between them, making them seem closer than regular friends.

But at the same time, it maintained a certain distance, a boundary that showed they were just a senior and a junior.

Now, by calling him by his name, she was signaling that she no longer wanted their relationship to be just that of a senior and a junior.

She saw Xu Yun as a man—a man she could fall for!

She didn’t know if she would succeed, but she wanted to try—to reclaim the destiny the two of them had missed out on five years ago!

「Meanwhile, at Jiangcheng Heaven and Earth.」

Lin Suiling had already left in the afternoon. Before she went, she had tidied up the place so well that you couldn’t even tell someone had been over.

The one who came over in the evening was Song Xiaowei.

After she finished recording her show, she got a call from Xu Yun and drove straight here.

When she came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel, she saw Xu Yun playing on his phone and asked with a smile, ”Darling, who are you chatting with?”

”A woman you don’t know,”

Hearing this, Song Xiaowei didn’t press the matter.

She knew her place and wouldn’t go looking for trouble.

Xu Yun put down his phone, hugged her, and inhaled her sweet fragrance. ”Another full day of recording your show?” he asked with a smile.

He was past the stage of being desperately horny.

Sometimes, he just didn’t want to sleep alone and wanted someone to talk to.
