Super Rich by Doing as You Please

”Uh, this is a perfectly normal physical reaction.”

Xu Yun said awkwardly, ”It’s fine. Don’t worry about it. Just pretend you don’t see it. If it really bothers you, just close your eyes while you wash.”

”You planned this all along, didn’t you.”

Lin Suiling said, blushing with indignation, ”You were after me this whole time.”

”Alright, I confess. I was after you.”

Xu Yun put on a pitiful expression. ”If you kick me out now, I promise I’ll leave and never bother you again.”

”...” Lin Suiling was speechless.

She had told herself that if Xu Yun wouldn’t give her a commitment, wouldn’t promise her a future, she wouldn’t sleep with him again.

But for some reason, as Lin Suiling looked at the only man who had ever made her heart flutter, seeing his pitiful act, her resolve began to soften.

Even though she knew Xu Yun was just putting on an act for her.

After hesitating for a few seconds, she said shyly, ”Then we have a deal. Just this once!”

”Let’s take it day by day.”

Lin Suiling: ”???”

(Ten thousand words omitted here...)

「In the blink of an eye, the night was over.」

The next day, Lin Suiling emerged from the bedroom wearing one of Xu Yun’s long dress shirts, her legs a little weak.

Seeing this, Xu Yun smiled and helped her to a seat.

’I guess I kept my word,’ he thought.

Lin Suiling remembered what happened last night and said, flushing with anger, ”Didn’t you say we were going to your bedroom to exercise? You liar!”

”Well, did you or did you not get a workout?”

Xu Yun chuckled. ”Our method of exercise is just a little different, more scientific. As they say, when a man and a woman pair up, the workout’s a breeze.”

”And I also said, just once!”

Lin Suiling immediately fumed, ”This whole night, how many times was it? Again and again, you never stopped.”

”I thought when you said ’once,’ you meant ’one night.’”

Xu Yun pursed his lips. ”Besides, it’s not like you were objecting.”

”Even if I didn’t object, you still can’t just...”

Lin Suiling shot him a glare, then said with concern, ”Aren’t you afraid of overexerting yourself like this? What if you can’t handle it? If something goes wrong, what are you going to do then!”

”Don’t worry, I’m uniquely gifted.”

Xu Yun flexed his six-pack abs and grinned. ”You don’t have to worry about me. My body is in great shape. You, on the other hand, will probably need to rest here for half the day.”

Lin Suiling: ”...”

「Meanwhile, at the bank.」

Dong Hongping went to the branch office, found Jian Shiwai and Gao Xing, and explained the purpose of her visit.

She wanted to transfer Xu Yun’s personal account to the main branch, claiming she had already obtained his consent.

Gao Xing froze for a moment and looked at Jian Shiwai.

’This is huge. How come I haven’t heard a peep about it?’

Jian Shiwai was also taken by surprise. She looked at her superior and said tactfully, ”I’m sorry, Manager Dong, but without President Xu’s authorization, I can’t approve or process this on my own authority.”

”Hmph.”

Dong Hongping looked at her and said mockingly, ”Then why don’t you call your precious President Xu right now and see what he tells you.”

”That’s right, Jian Xing, hurry up and call President Xu to confirm if this is really happening.”

Gao Xing was getting anxious now.

According to their plan, Xu Yun was a client the general manager had his eye on.

Now that Manager Dong had suddenly come to poach him, how could he not be nervous? When the general manager returned, he would surely be blamed for not handling things well. He could forget about any good days ahead.

Seeing how confident Dong Hongping was, Jian Shiwai started to feel uncertain as well.

After hesitating for a few seconds, she picked up her phone and called Xu Yun.

Xu Yun was at home practicing the Eight Pieces of Brocade to recover his energy, his phone set to the side.

When Lin Suiling heard the ringing, she saw the phone vibrating and called out to Xu Yun, ”Xu Yun, your phone’s ringing.”

”Who is it?”

”The screen says Chairman Jian.”

”Can you get that for me?”

Xu Yun continued with his Eight Pieces of Brocade routine. ”Just tell them I’m busy right now and I’ll call back later.”

”Okay.”

Lin Suiling picked up the phone and answered, ”Hello?”

Back at the bank, Jian Shiwai froze for a second when she heard a woman’s voice on the line.

A woman answering his phone at this hour... she didn’t need to think twice to guess that the two of them had likely spent the night together.

Beside her, Dong Hongping heard the woman’s voice and shot Jian Shiwai a meaningful look.

Jian Shiwai pretended not to notice and said with a smile, ”Hello, I’m looking for President Xu.”

”He’s not available right now; he’s busy.”

Lin Suiling said, ”He’ll call you back when he’s finished.”

”Okay, thank you.”

After hanging up, Jian Shiwai said to Dong Hongping, ”I’m sorry, Manager Dong, but you’ll have to wait a little longer. President Xu is busy at the moment.”

”It’s fine. A little while longer won’t hurt.”

After speaking, Dong Hongping walked straight over and sat down in Jian Shiwai’s chair as if she were in her own office. ”And if you wouldn’t mind,” she added casually, ”please make me a cup of tea, Chairman Jian. Thanks.”

”Of course, Manager Dong.” Although Jian Shiwai was annoyed, Dong Hongping was still her superior. She turned to prepare the tea.

Seeing this, Gao Xing, who was standing to the side, thought, ’I should report this to the general manager as soon as possible.’

He said, ”Manager Dong, if you’ll be waiting here, I’ll head back to my desk. I have some loan applications I need to process.”

”Mm, go on. Don’t mind me.”

After Gao Xing left, Jian Shiwai finished brewing the tea, placed it in front of Dong Hongping, and added a warning, ”It might be a little hot.”

”Chairman Jian.”

Dong Hongping didn’t drink the tea. Instead, she said with a smile, ”I assume you’re a smart woman. Before President Xu calls you back, I’m willing to ask you one more time: are you willing to come to the main branch and work for me?

Think carefully before you answer. This is your only chance.

Once President Xu calls you back, it will be too late for regrets.”

Jian Shiwai thought back to the kind words Xu Yun had said to her that one morning and decided to trust him.
