Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Su Mu’s cooking couldn’t compare to Ning Qian’s, but it had its own unique charm.

Just like how every woman has her own distinct flavor.

Halfway through the meal, Xu Yun’s phone rang. This time, it wasn’t another woman, but his university teacher, Teacher Wu Jinyan.

”Hello, Teacher Wu.”

”Xu Yun.”

On the phone, Wu Jinyan was quite polite. ”I’m not disturbing you, am I?”

”Not at all, not at all.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”If there’s anything you need, Teacher, just let me know.”

”You silly boy, what are you talking about?”

Wu Jinyan laughed and asked, ”I just wanted to ask if you’re free tonight. I’d like to invite you over for a simple meal and also talk about the progress on the scholarship.”

”Of course I’m free. If you’re asking, Teacher, I’ll always have time.”

Xu Yun replied, ”Could you please send me the address later, Teacher? I’ll definitely be there on time tonight to mooch a meal.”

”Good, good. In that case, I’ll be waiting for you.”

After hanging up, Su Mu asked, ”A teacher? From your university?”

”Yeah.”

Xu Yun explained, ”I went back to school a few days ago and ran into my old academic advisor. We got to talking, and the topic of scholarships came up, so I offered to set up a scholarship program for outstanding students from low-income families.”

”You’ve been spending so much money lately, and these businesses you’ve invested in with us haven’t started generating any returns for you yet.”

Su Mu asked with some concern, ”Can your cash flow handle this constant spending?”

”You’re underestimating me, aren’t you?”

Xu Yun shook his head. ”Don’t worry. Just because I haven’t made money from you guys yet doesn’t mean I’m not making money elsewhere.”

”I may not be the richest man in the country, but I still have a little over a hundred million on me.”

”Alright then. I was just reminding you.”

”Wait, why don’t you come out with me for a bit?”

Xu Yun said, ”I can’t show up empty-handed at my teacher’s house for dinner tonight. I need to buy a gift. Can you help me pick one out?”

”Ask someone else. I won’t go with you today.”

”Why not?”

Su Mu shot him a glare, a mix of shyness and anger. ”What do you think?”

”Haha...”

Xu Yun gave an awkward laugh and said, ”Alright then. I’ll find someone else. You get some rest at home.”

...

China Construction Bank, Branch Office.

First thing in the morning, Governor Gao came to Jian Shiwai’s office.

Jian Shiwai thought he was there to plead on behalf of that Gu Heng again.

Jian Shiwai was aware of their relationship, but she would never agree to anything that would offend Xu Yun.

Besides, they had just spent the night together as lovers.

But that wasn’t the case at all.

It turned out that Xu Yun’s account had suddenly received a one-time transfer of 3.3 billion in cash from overseas last night, all through legitimate channels.

Xu Yun’s account balance was now as high as 4 billion in cash.

This was bombshell news for the entire personal savings division of the China Construction Bank system in Jiangcheng.

The leadership from the main branch headquarters had even called directly to confirm the matter.

Furthermore, they would be sending people over immediately to review Xu Yun’s personal information and account status to determine the legality and security of the funds.

So, after receiving the call and personally verifying Xu Yun’s account, Governor Gao had immediately sought out Jian Shiwai, who had a good relationship with Xu Yun.

Jian Shiwai was also stunned when she heard the news.

She said she knew nothing about it.

However, she had been the one to process yesterday’s transaction of over 300 million from Xu Yun’s account, which was used to purchase a private jet. That could be verified.

After hearing this, Governor Gao said directly, ”Before the people from the main branch headquarters arrive, you and I will audit Xu Yun’s account first to prevent any slip-ups.”

”I don’t think that’s necessary.”

Jian Shiwai analyzed, ”If this were a matter of illegal fund transfers, think about it. People are always trying to move money *out* of the country, not into it.”

”Er, now that you mention it, that does seem right.”

Governor Gao said, ”If every single one of Xu Yun’s transactions is legitimate and legal, then doesn’t that mean we...”

”Exactly. We’ll rank number one among all branch offices in personal savings performance this year.”

Jian Shiwai said excitedly, ”We might even surpass the main branch headquarters.”

Such outstanding performance, and from a client she was personally responsible for.

Perhaps she could be promoted directly to Governor next year and drop the ”Vice” from her title!

After Governor Gao left, a thought suddenly occurred to Jian Shiwai.

’Could it be because I slept with him last night...’

’...that he suddenly transferred this huge sum of money to boost my performance metrics?’

...

In his car after leaving Su Mu’s place, Xu Yun scrolled through the names on his phone, wondering who to call.

Just then, Song Xiaowei, who was bored at home by herself with the heater on, was lying on her bed in a thin slip dress and white stockings. She sent Xu Yun a text.

[Hubby, did you escape from the closet? (#^.^#)]

Xu Yun: [Just got out. What’s up?]

[I have the day off. Do you want my company?]

Xu Yun: [Sure. Wait for me downstairs. I’ll take you shopping.]

[Okay.]

Half an hour later, Xu Yun arrived downstairs at his old apartment and saw Song Xiaowei standing by the side of the road.

She was something of a celebrity now, big or small.

So, to avoid any unnecessary trouble, she was wearing a face mask.

But even so, her graceful aura and figure still attracted a lot of attention.

There are some women you can tell are beautiful just by looking at their back; you don’t even need to see their face.

Xu Yun pulled up beside her, rolled down the window, and called out teasingly, ”Hey beautiful, care to hang out?”
