Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Of course, it wasn’t up to Ning Qian to decide.

Lin Suiling waited in the conference room. She’d already sat through Minister Hao’s presentation twice, and Xu Yun still hadn’t returned for her. Finally, she had no choice but to pull out her phone and call him.

”Yeah, what do you want?”

”What am *I* doing? What are *you* doing?”

Lin Suiling said, displeased, ”If you two are going to be a while, I’m leaving.”

”Miss Lin, please be patient.”

Suddenly, Ning Qian’s voice came through from near the phone, slightly out of breath. ”Xu Yun should be out in just a moment.”

...

She hung up.

Sure enough, a moment later, Xu Yun and Ning Qian emerged from the office.

He said to Lin Suiling, ”Let’s go. I’m finished.”

Lin Suiling glanced at Ning Qian, who was standing behind him.

She looked as if she had just gone through some strenuous exercise. Her face was flushed, much rosier than before!

Crucially, she noticed that Ning Qian’s legs seemed a little weak as she walked, as if she could barely stand.

They were both adults, and both women.

It didn’t take long for Lin Suiling to guess what had happened.

’Some ”in-depth exchange” that was.’

’If I hadn’t called to rush them, President Ning probably wouldn’t have left her office all day!’

Xu Yun didn’t ask Ning Qian to see them out, telling her to go back to her office and get some rest.

He and Lin Suiling left the company together. Once they were outside, he asked, ”Where are you headed? Want me to go shopping with you for a bit? We could grab dinner together tonight.”

”You’re shameless! You’re disgusting!”

Lin Suiling stopped in her tracks, staring at him as she spat the words out, her voice a mixture of shame and fury.

After all, Xu Yun was the first man she had ever truly liked, and also the first man she had ever slept with.

Yet today, he had deliberately done something so sordid with another woman in his office, right under her nose.

How could she not be furious!

”???”

Xu Yun had no idea what was going on. With a look of pure innocence, he said, ”Lady, if you don’t want to eat, just say so. Why are you yelling at me?”

”Because I want to yell at you.”

Lin Suiling’s voice was sad and aggrieved, bordering on tears. ”It’s because you’re bullying me.”

’Yes,’ she thought, ’the more I think about it, the more humiliated I feel.’

’It’s fine if you don’t like me, but you don’t have to rub it in my face like this.’

”???”

Xu Yun was completely baffled. ”Who’s bullying you? I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

”Don’t play dumb with me.”

Lin Suiling wiped away a tear, saying angrily, ”What were you and President Ning doing in her office? Do you think I don’t know? I can tell.”

”What were we doing?”

Xu Yun replied, ”We were just working out and chatting, that’s all.”

”Working out and chatting?”

”Yeah, what else did you think we were doing?”

Xu Yun replied, ”Ning Qian is pretty amazing, actually. She managed to do 20 push-ups, 30 sit-ups, and 50 squats all in a row.”

”I don’t believe you!...”

Lin Suiling shot back, ”A man and a woman, alone together, just to work out?”

”Believe what you want. I don’t give a shit.”

Xu Yun wasn’t about to indulge her. Turning the tables, he said, ”As if I was dying to go shopping and have dinner with you anyway. See ya.”

With that, he turned to get in his car and leave.

’If I don’t show some backbone, she’ll really think I’m just Mr. Nice Guy!’

”Wait...”

Lin Suiling thought about it for a moment. He had a point.

They had only been in there for a little over half an hour. ’Even if Xu Yun is a beast, there’s no way he could leave a woman that exhausted and weak-kneed in that amount of time.’

’Could I really have been wrong?’

’Did I misunderstand him?’

’Were they really just working out?’

Her expression changing, Lin Suiling immediately ran forward and grabbed Xu Yun’s arm.

Xu Yun turned back, his tone dripping with sarcasm. ”What now? Want to yell at me some more?”

”I’m sorry.”

Lin Suiling was one to own up to her mistakes. She immediately offered a sincere apology. ”Xu Yun, I misunderstood you just now. I was wrong.”

”An apology requires more than just words.”

Filled with guilt, Lin Suiling said, ”Then what do you want? I’ll agree to anything.”

”After dinner tonight, come home with me.”

Lin Suiling froze, then said hesitantly, ”Xu Yun, even though we’ve already... done *that*... it doesn’t mean you can just...”

”Don’t worry, I’m not sexually interested in you.”

Xu Yun said irritably, ”I just want you to work out, too. See what it feels like to have your legs go weak.”
