This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Seeing that Director Wu’s expression didn’t look fake, Director Huang widened his eyes. ”Seriously? He’s that amazing?”

Director Wu’s proud expression quickly faded. ”You can ask Qian about it when you have time. He knows it quite well.” Director Wu winked at Director Huang and revealed a mysterious smile.

”Qian?” Director Huang was shocked again. ”You mean Qian from the Gastroenterology Department? Does he have anything to do with this Deputy Director Du you mentioned?”

”It involves some privacy issues, so it’s not convenient for me to say. If you are interested, you can ask Qian, but I guess he might not tell you either.”

Director Wu’s deliberately mysterious words made Director Huang almost guess the whole story. Just as he wanted to speak, Director Wu continued, ”Alright, I’ve already introduced Deputy Director Du to you. Do you want him to come over? If you still don’t think he is good enough, then I’ll tell you my judgment and remedy. I have a bunch of patients waiting for me in the outpatient service. Don’t dawdle.”

Director Huang felt a bit overwhelmed. ”Sigh... Alright, please inform Deputy Director Du to come over for a consultation.”

Butt pain!

After sitting in the office for nearly two hours, this was Du Heng’s only feeling.

However, after receiving Director Wu’s call, Du Heng immediately gave himself a break from sitting. This way, he could do his job and also get some physical activity.

When Du Heng arrived at the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic First Section, he didn’t see the familiar figure of Director Wu. Instead, he saw the colleague with the unique hairstyle from the same corridor.

Since Du Heng didn’t know that this was Director Huang, he could only greet Director Yang first.

Director Yang, on the other hand, acted nonchalantly, smiling as he introduced Du Heng to Director Huang.

As Director Huang looked at the overly young deputy director in front of him, he couldn’t help but feel a wave of emotion. He really is young! I just wonder if he’s as impressive as Wu boasted.

Director Huang had many thoughts racing through his mind, but when he spoke, he put on an admiring appearance. ”Nice to meet you, Deputy Director Du. If it weren’t for Director Wu, I wouldn’t have known that our traditional Chinese medicine team had gained another valuable member.”

Du Heng responded with a smile. ”You flatter me, you flatter me.”

”Let’s put modesty aside for now. Let’s also put small talk on hold and go see the patient first, shall we?” Director Huang suggested.

Of course, Du Heng wouldn’t object to this proposal.

However, when everyone arrived at the hospital room, the woman and the girl inside were extremely anxious.

The girl, in particular, felt as if her tongue were a steel plate—very hard and completely unable to bend.

She wanted to speak, but all that came out were moans and sobs.

She was worried and scared.

Although the woman, who had been very panicked before, still had a worried look on her face, she no longer seemed nervous.

She found the past over twenty minutes of waiting to be the most relaxing she had experienced in a while.

Her daughter was by her side, but without the previous harsh exchanges, she unexpectedly found herself enjoying the atmosphere.

So, when Director Huang led people in again, she didn’t act as anxious as before.

After they went in, they only watched Du Heng take the patient’s pulse and briefly check her vital signs before they left again.

The whole process didn’t even take two minutes.

”Deputy Director Du, you’ve seen the patient’s condition. Is it a stroke?”

”Yes and no.”

Both Director Huang and Director Yang were stunned.

What the hell kind of answer was that?

However, Du Heng continued, ”There’s no doubt that the patient has wind disease, but this is not a stroke caused by her own body’s lesions. Instead, it’s wind disease induced by external medications.”

As soon as Du Heng’s words fell, Director Huang shot a look at Director Yang, his eyes filled with an almost tangible murderous intent.

But that didn’t mean he completely believed Du Heng either.

So, he just glanced at Director Yang and then turned his gaze back to Du Heng.

Director Yang was now even more panicked than when Director Wu had spoken.

Director Huang still had doubts about Du Heng’s abilities. No matter how sincere Director Wu sounded, he wouldn’t easily believe in Du Heng until he saw his skills for himself.

But Director Yang was different.

He had met Du Heng last year.

Last year, when Du Heng was studying at their Department, he solved several disease records that had troubled their entire Department.

Even if he hadn’t paid much attention before, they were now at opposite ends of the same corridor. After Du Heng had been there for a month, how could Director Yang not be aware of his capabilities? Could he truly be clueless about what Du Heng excelled at?

So, when Du Heng confirmed it was a stroke, and specifically wind disease induced by medication, Director Yang was thrown into a panic.

”Deputy Director Du, we can’t say such things carelessly,” Director Yang hurriedly began to backtrack.

Du Heng turned to look at Director Yang but was momentarily caught off guard by the sudden gleam from the top of Director Yang’s exposed head, causing him to involuntarily turn his own head slightly to the side.

My goodness, so bright! Jin Zan’s forehead wasn’t even this shiny.

Du Heng sighed inwardly before saying, ”Director Yang, I can take responsibility for what I have said.”

”Ah, I didn’t say you couldn’t take responsibility, it’s just...”

At this point, Director Huang suddenly interrupted Director Yang and said to Du Heng, ”You two don’t need to argue over this. Deputy Director Du, just tell us why, so I can explain it to the patient’s family as well.”
