This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

However, this Hospital is a real Health Commission-affiliated Hospital.

In other general Hospitals, even those with the name of Chinese Medicine Hospitals, the proportion of Western medicine is very high. But at Good Friend Hospital, traditional Chinese medicine can absolutely go hand-in-hand with Western medicine.

Take the specialty Departments as an example; the situation is almost half traditional Chinese medicine and half Western medicine.

In such a situation, Director Huang actually looked down on the people in the Chinese Medicine Department now. Does he think he’s that important?

The attending Physician didn’t know what was going on, but he showed an unusual displeasure towards Director Huang’s attitude.

The biggest reason could be that Director Huang had just tried to set him up to do minimally invasive drainage, which led to his dissatisfaction.

Director Huang was still immersed in the regrets about Professor Lan’s retirement and the lack of successors in the Chinese Medicine Department. He didn’t notice the attending Physician’s little thoughts.

Only after expressing his regret did he say to the attending Physician, ”Let’s invite Director Yang from the Department of Spleen and Stomach over; he’s the relatively professional one.”

The attending Physician immediately showed an expression of admiration for his Director. However, when he turned around, his face changed instantly, and he couldn’t help but grumble in his heart, ”What’s the deal? When I said it, the person wasn’t good enough; when you said it, it’s passable. You’ve taken both sides of the argument.”

However, after leaving the Director’s office, the attending Physician immediately called the newly appointed Department Director to request a consultation.

Director Yang also rushed to the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Department, First Section immediately.

It is said that clever heads are often bald, and at first glance, Director Yang indeed seemed to have a clever head, especially the top, which was shining bright.

However, Director Yang clearly didn’t like showing off his intelligence, as he used a strategy of ”local support for the center” to cover up the brightness in the middle of his head.

But in the Capital’s spring, there was wind.

The hair on his head supporting the center was long, but it was a little sparse.

A gentle breeze blew, and it all lost its direction.

The soft spring light fell on his bright forehead, reflecting a dazzling light that made the surrounding family members and medical care staff squint slightly.

For a moment, they thought this bright light would blind them.

However, for Director Yang, all these things were just minor episodes and of no consequence.

At that moment, he felt he could completely apply the Tang Dynasty poem by Meng Jiao, ”Succeeded in Imperial Exam,” to himself, and he even thought this poem suited him extraordinarily well.

In the past, I was not worth boasting,

Today my unrestrained thoughts are boundless.

The spring breeze fills my horse’s hooves with joy,

In one day, I see all of Chang’an’s flowers.

He had been working at Good Friend Hospital for almost a lifetime, with Lan Changhua pressing over him and leaving him no room for resistance.

Especially when he saw his former colleagues, one by one, all promoted to Director and then leading Departments, he felt an immense sense of loss.

It was not easy to wait for Lan Changhua to step down, but Director Wu, who was a few years younger than him, had taken the Senior position and become the Director first.

At this time, his heart had become tortured.

However, what could he do?

If he couldn’t get the Senior title, he wouldn’t have the foundation for an independent Department. Who could he blame?

Fortunately, last year, he finally found an opportunity, when no one was paying attention, to make a surprise move from the sidelines and grab the Senior position.

At last, he was no longer a deputy senior in his fifties.

At last, he didn’t have to work under the younger Director Wu.

He became a Senior at the end of the year, and he straightened his back.

When his Department became independent at the end of the year, he was elated.

Now, he interpreted the actions of others shielding their eyes as their envy and jealousy towards him, evidence that they dared not look directly at him.

Director Yang held his head high, combed the hair on the left side over the top of his head with the ’Five-finger Divine Comb,’ and fixed it at the right temple.

The messy hair, finally under the strong intervention of the ’artifact’, began to fulfill their ’mission’ once again.

”Oh, Director Huang, this cyst is quite big, isn’t it? The Patient must have difficulty breathing, right?” After looking at the film in front of him, Director Yang couldn’t help but exclaim.

Director Huang pointed to the numbers on the film and said, ”It’s almost the size of two fists. Let alone breathing, I’m afraid it will affect the spleen that just underwent surgery if it continues to swell.”

Director Huang then looked at Director Yang. ”Director Yang, you are an expert in Spleen and Stomach issues. Traditional Chinese medicine has some magical methods. I don’t expect much. Do you have any way to control it?”

”As long as it can be controlled for two to three weeks without growing, it will allow the Patient time to recover. When the Patient is ready for surgery again, I can remove it.”

Although Director Yang expressed astonishment, he ’tactfully’ disagreed with Director Huang’s request.

”Director Huang, it’s clear that this swelling is due to external trauma,” Director Yang said blandly.

Director Huang didn’t argue and agreed directly, ”There should be no problem with that. It’s just that the Patient’s postoperative recovery isn’t good, leading to a cyst.”

As soon as Director Huang admitted it, Director Yang raised his chin. ”The Patient’s meridians were damaged during surgery, causing bad blood to stagnate and accumulate below the ribs.”

”In the end, damp phlegm and dead blood gathered and formed a lump. That’s what we mean when we say stagnation leads to blockage, and blockage leads to tumors.”

Director Huang looked at the eloquent Director Yang and couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows. ”Oh, do I understand correctly that this isn’t difficult for you?”

”It’s neither a huge problem nor a trivial one,” Director Yang said, slightly modest, but not entirely so.

”Well, Director Yang, please share your amazing insights. The Patient is a young girl, and her belly is swollen and painful right now.”

”If there’s no free flow, there’s pain; if there is free flow, there’s no pain.” Director Yang quoted another phrase. Seeing Director Huang’s eyebrows constantly twitching, he continued, ”This cyst is formed by the accumulation of damp phlegm and dead blood.”

”Simply put, it’s caused by the obstruction of meridians.”

”Therefore, all we need to do is promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, allowing the bad blood to flow out from below the ribs, and the disease will resolve naturally.”

Director Huang’s corner of the eye twitched again. ”Director Yang, do you mean you can cure it directly? Without surgery?”

Director Yang gave a reserved smile. ”I should be able to.”

”Then, Director Yang, don’t keep it a secret. Let’s get to it.”

”I have a Verified Prescription here called ’Network-Quickening Elixir’.” Director Yang reached up to tidy his disheveling hair again and continued, ”In the prescription, the pungent and potent nature of arisaema can dry damp phlegm; the pungent and hot nature of the two ’Wu’ preparations (Aconitum species) can dispel cold dampness.”

”Finally, there are earthworms, which are born in damp soil and, sharing the same qi, are adept at burrowing through damp mud. They can guide the arisaema and the Aconitum directly to where the damp phlegm has gathered, thus achieving direct results.”

After finishing his explanation, Director Yang became even more excited. ”Moreover, arisaema is bitter, pungent, and warm in nature, and it is active in the lung, liver, and spleen meridians.”

”Frankincense and myrrh promote qi circulation and activate blood to relieve pain, resolving stasis in the meridians.”

”Among them, frankincense courses through the heart, liver, and spleen meridians. It promotes qi circulation to remove stagnation, activates blood, and relieves pain. Its main action is to promote the circulation of qi and blood.”

”Myrrh circulates through the heart and liver meridians, disperses blood stasis, and relieves swelling and pain.”

”So these medicines also help the Patient’s postoperative recovery, especially since this Patient had a spleen repair; they are very beneficial.”

Although Director Huang didn’t fully understand, seeing Director Yang’s excitement as he gestured animatedly while speaking, he knew this was Director Yang’s first time conducting a consultation as a Department Director. He was genuinely excited and also ambitious to make a name for his Department. Therefore, Director Huang didn’t interrupt him.

Only after he finished speaking did Director Huang take out a pen and paper and ask him to write down the prescription for ’Network-Quickening Elixir’.

”Director Huang, one dose per day, divided into two administrations. The bloating will subside in one day, the pain will cease in two days, and within a week, the cyst will surely regress.”

After writing the prescription, Director Yang handed it to Director Huang with an air of great confidence.

Director Huang made no comment on these overly confident words but still maintained a smile and said, ”If it really works like that, I will definitely have the Patient’s family send you, Director Yang, a silk banner.”
