The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 893: Chapter 893: Please Let the Prime Minister Decide

Nanny Gong escorted Jiang Fula out of Chunhui Hall.

Jiang Fula stopped and said, ”I still need to go to the Palace and report to the Prime Minister personally, and seek his decision.”

”That is necessary.”

Jiang Fula continued, ”The Madam is also an elderly woman who has weathered storms, she naturally has skill and courage. What she said is quite pertinent, but she overlooked one point, she is the most important one. So if there really are two poisonous snakes over at Yoran Garden, I’m afraid it’s unpreventable.”

Nanny Gong was silent for a moment and said, ”This is also the heart of the Madam. In this mansion, we consider her the most important, but in her heart, she values the Song Mansion the most. She values everyone and everything here, and she won’t let the Song Mansion collapse, even if it means risking her own life.”

Jiang Fula was somewhat shocked upon hearing this and said, ”Having such an ancestor is indeed the blessing of this mansion.”

Nanny Gong said, ”You should go and let the Prime Minister decide. The Madam is right; what is in the open can be dealt with, but what is hidden is hard to guard against. If there truly are spies within the mansion, knowing their purpose and timing of their actions is what matters.”

Jiang Fula nodded, ”This sudden occurrence certainly puts us at risk. I will have people keep a close watch on the Madam, and I ask you, Nanny Gong, to also be vigilant. Even something as small as a cup of tea must be carefully guarded to prevent any dark moves aimed at the Madam.”

The existence of the Madam is actually very important; she is the stabilizing force of this mansion, a crucial link to the supreme presence in the palace. If she is lost, the momentum of the Song Mansion is likely to weaken.

Though Song Zhiyuan has been promoted to the highest rank, and the family connections are strong, the key next generation is still young, meaning that the roots of the Song Family need time to deepen, and the next generation needs time to mature.

”Don’t worry.”

Jiang Fula paid his respects to her, then went down to make arrangements, and prepared for a swift journey to the Palace.

This matter should not be delayed.

Nanny Gong turned and returned to serve Song Ci.

”Jiang Fula has left the mansion?” Song Ci asked her.

Nanny Gong replied, ”He has made arrangements and is about to leave the mansion.”

Song Ci nodded and mentioned Song Lao San, the intermediary, ”Do you think it’s true that Lao San passed on the contaminated items to the two children?”

”The Third Madam won’t let Bai Yiniang visit the two little masters at Plum Garden. Bai Yiniang does want to clear herself, indeed it’s easier to use Lao San.”

Song Ci smirked, ”So Lao San inadvertently harmed his two sons? What might be going through his mind now.”

Perhaps a thousand curses.

Nanny Gong hesitated a moment and said, ”Jiang Fula said that Lao San had someone drag Shuang Lu’s body to the mass grave, chop it up, and feed it to the dogs.”

Song Ci felt nauseous, her fingers ran quicker over the prayer beads and said, ”There are ties and obligations, Shuang Lu must seek revenge with clarity.”

Nanny Gong was indifferent; she was just a maid, nothing emotional about it, only the kind-hearted Madam might sympathize somewhat.

And Song Zhiqing, as Song Ci mentioned, has wholly believed Bai Shuilian is innocent, especially since she had her stomach cut open and was on the verge of death. Whoever claims Bai Shuilian was the perpetrator, he would be furious with them.

Lu Shi, who was caring for her son, was so angry she overturned a copper basin, water spilled everywhere, and her face was frosty.

Song Ci does not believe, she does not believe!
