The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 649: Chapter 649: Righteousness Over Family Bonds to the Extreme

As soon as Qi Zhen left, Su Qing felt as if she had fallen into an ice cellar. Her whole body shivered with cold. He was the only person she could rely on, and now that he was gone, wasn’t she just like fish on the chopping board?

She blankly raised her head, encountering Madam Song’s cruel smile. Her body trembled, and she crawled on her knees towards the Duke’s Madam, incessantly kowtowing.

”Madam, this servant is being wronged. Please, let this servant keep the child. He is also your grandson.”

The Duke’s Madam was already irritable, and seeing the unsightly maid pleading in front of her, a surge of anger rose as she kicked Su Qing away.

Su Qing let out a miserable cry, clutching her stomach and weeping.

”If you had known it would come to this, would you have ever started? If you weren’t foolish enough to meddle with the wrong person, the child in your belly might have been spared,” Song Ci said coldly.

Su Qing: ”I did nothing.”

She lifted her head, her sharp eyes fixed in the direction of the Duke’s Madam.

At that moment, Mrs. Liao spoke: ”Mother, could it be that the foolish servant is making baseless accusations? After all, some foolish servants are tempted by the beauty of the maids in the estate. If they cannot get them, they might make false accusations.”

Madam Song chuckled: ”Second Madam truly has a compassionate heart. Even with two or three witnesses, you dismiss it as baseless accusations. No wonder the beautiful women around Second Master keep getting drawn to the yard. It seems they have such a generous and kind-hearted lady in charge.”

Mrs. Liao’s face turned green.

”Must Madam Song be so sarcastic? I just think Su Qing had no need to do this. She knew she was pregnant, and the Lady had already secured her position, so there was no reason she wouldn’t tolerate her. Why do something so futile? Isn’t she afraid it will backfire on her?”

Madam Song: ”A vile person with malicious intent—you can’t judge them with common sense.”

Mrs. Liao seethed, her chest rising and falling. This was just too unreasonable.

She was about to ask the Duke’s Madam to decide when Song Ci interjected: ”Second Madam is really kind at heart, speaking up for a maid. Someone who doesn’t know might think you’re afraid she’ll speak against you, maybe even that it was you who guided her to act.”

Mrs. Liao’s face changed dramatically: ”Madam, I respect you as an elder. How can you slander me so?”

Song Ci barely lifted her eyelids and said, ”Oh, I was praising your kindness. Otherwise, why help her? Couldn’t it be that you’re feeling guilty?”

”You...”

”Enough!” The Duke’s Madam pressed her forehead, looking at Su Qing with eyes full of disgust. A despicable maid had caused her such a headache, continually being manipulated by the in-laws, a complete annoyance.

”Nanny Mu, go and make a bowl of the Abortion Pill.”

Su Qing’s pupils shrank. Without thinking, she crawled up from the ground, trying to rush out.

”Hold her.”

”Let go of me, let go of me! I want to see the Third Master.” Su Qing struggled violently.

Madam Song felt content, a wretched person getting what she deserved.

Nanny Mu went out, quickly returning, leaving everyone stunned. So soon?

”Madam, this medicine was ordered by the Third Master for Nanny Huang to prepare.”

What?

Ordered by Qi Zhen?

Song Ci thought to herself, at least you did something right.

Su Qing, hearing this, was momentarily stunned, then struggled even more desperately.

”I don’t believe it. I want to see the Third Master.”

The Duke’s Madam said, ”Since it was ordered by the Third Master, then administer it. Does this satisfy you, Madam?”

Song Ci didn’t even lift an eyelid, retorting without much weight: ”The Duke’s Madam putting righteousness before family—I’m impressed!”

The Duke’s Madam: ”...”

Righteousness before family, my foot! Wasn’t I forced by you and your daughter-in-law?
