The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 642: Chapter 642: Third Master is the Devil

While the Madam of the Duke Mansion and a few others were shifting blame and setting traps for each other over the bracelet, Qi Zhen was holding a crude and simple slingshot, his face ashen, staring at the servant kneeling before him.

”If no one admits to it, then all will receive fifty strokes and be expelled from the mansion. The Duke Mansion, after all, is not short of hands. Oh, and whoever reports and corroborates will be rewarded fifty taels of silver.”

The crowd shrank back, shouting their innocence.

Qi Zhen’s patience had run out, and with a wave of his hand, two guards immediately stepped forward and dragged a servant randomly, kicking and pressing him down, and began the beating.

The servant, who was shouting his innocence, cried out in horror. He was truly innocent. Among so many people, why was he the one to be beaten first? He clearly wasn’t the ringleader. Boohoo.

With just a few strokes, those kneeling were trembling like sieve, and their cries of innocence grew louder.

”Third, Third Master, I know whose slingshot this is.” Someone couldn’t help but raise their hand.

Qi Zhen raised his hand, and the beating stopped.

”It’s Lin Zhuzi, the grandson of Madam Lin who manages the garden. I saw him playing with it.”

Qi Zhen narrowed his eyes slightly and turned his head. Someone was already going to fetch him, and meanwhile, he also had someone retrieve the roster for Lin Granny and the two of them.

Madam Lin was brought forward first, her face full of panic, until Lin Zhuzi was dragged in.

”Third Master, when we went to get this boy, he was about to pack up and run.”

Lin Zhuzi naturally cried innocence, saying he wasn’t fleeing, but was planning to buy medicine as Madam Lin had a bit of a cough.

Qi Zhen didn’t look at him but at Madam Lin instead: ”Is that so?”

Madam Lin opened her mouth, about to speak, but Qi Zhen lowered his eyes: ”Think it over carefully before you speak. If you dare lie, I will have his fingers cut off to use as a medicine guide for you.”

The crowd shuddered.

”No, this slave dares not, this slave has no ailment,” Madam Lin dared not risk it, as Lin Zhuzi was the sole remaining descendant of their family.

Qi Zhen sneered coldly, glaring at Lin Zhuzi: ”Who ordered you to harm Third Madam?”

”What? I’m wronged!” Lin Zhuzi struggled and shouted his innocence.

Qi Zhen’s expression grew colder: ”Not willing to speak? I have ways to make you talk.”

He did nothing else, simply ordered water and Xuan paper to be brought and had Lin Zhuzi pinned down, as sheets of soaked Xuan paper were applied to Lin Zhuzi’s face one by one.

Everyone’s faces turned deathly pale, it was torture, this was torture.

The Third Master was a demon!

”This is the consequence for attacking Third Madam,” Qi Zhen said blandly.

To strike fear into others, he wanted to see who dared to act out.

Madam Lin wept bitterly, rubbing her hands and begging for mercy, saying: ”Third Master, have mercy, our Zhuzi is an honest boy, how could he dare do such a thing, we have no enmity with Third Madam, why would we harm her.”

”So, who ordered him? If you don’t know, then he can only die.”

Madam Lin’s face turned white, and she begged even more fiercely.

Qi Zhen grew more impatient as Lin Zhuzi’s struggling weakened, his eyes turning red.

”That one.” Another person raised a hand.

Qi Zhen looked over, it was a coarse servant with a somewhat mournful face.

”Speak.”

The coarse servant hesitated for a moment and said: ”This servant, a few days ago, accidentally fell asleep at the rock garden in Luoyuan, and was woken by voices, seemed like Zhuzi and some girl talking about helping her vent her frustration.”

”Did you see who it was?”

The coarse servant shook violently, stammering: ”Looked, looked like the sister from Third Master’s courtyard, Su Qing.”

Qi Zhen’s face turned drastically, his hand clenched into a fist, Su Qing?
