The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 633: Chapter 633: Accident? Found a Clue!

When asked by Song Ci, Mother Xin thought for a moment and then said, ”There wasn’t anything unusual. Since she got pregnant, except for the bad eating during her morning sickness, after three months, she ate well. Besides, the young master is considerate, and the young lady is very comfortable.”

”Have you all paid close attention to her daily meals?” Madam asked with a cold face.

Mother Xin replied, ”We servants remember Madam’s words and are extremely cautious about the young lady’s meals. The people in the small kitchen are all our own people.”

Madam frowned.

No issues, yet just because of a fall, the baby is gone?

Mother Xin hesitated for a while and said, ”Well, lately, perhaps because the young lady’s body has been heavy, she’s felt tired, saying that there’s some heaviness on her abdomen and her body feels very heavy.”

Madam shouted sternly, ”With such a situation, why did you not report it back home?”

Mother Xin knelt down: ”We know our fault. I also thought it was because her body felt heavy. We asked the house doctor to see her, and he said it was nothing serious, just that the months made the body feel heavy, so...”

Song Ci looked at Lin Qing and asked, ”Lin Qing, is there anything amiss?”

Lin Qing withdrew her hand and replied, ”The baby is somewhat big for this month, and losing it now would cause significant harm to the mother’s body. But the Second Miss had a good foundation before, and she is still young. With careful nourishment, she can conceive children again.”

Both Madam and Song Ci breathed a sigh of relief. It’s fine as long as it doesn’t lead to infertility.

Song Ci asked, ”Can you tell if she ingested anything cold or toxic? It’s a bit far-fetched that just a fall would cause the loss of the child.”

She never believed it was just an accident. According to the rules of domestic struggles, Song Ruqi must have fallen into someone’s trap.

Lin Qing said silently, ”Judging from her pulse and tongue coating, it doesn’t seem like she ate anything cold, but if, according to Mother Xin, the abdomen was heavy during these months, it indicates signs of an unstable pregnancy.”

Everyone’s face changed.

”Specifically, the Second Miss needs to be asked.” Lin Qing took the silver needle and pricked a few acupuncture points on Song Ruqi, causing her to slowly open her eyes.

”Qi’er.” Madam rushed over.

Song Ruqi blinked and hoarsely called, ”Mother.”

With this call, tears started to flow, and she cried her heart out.

”Mother, my child is gone, he’s gone.”

Madam held her as they both cried together, but Song Ci, feeling a headache coming on, stopped them.

Seeing that Song Ci was also there, Song Ruqi felt even more aggrieved.

”Now you are having a miscarriage, don’t cry too hard or you’ll end up with a problem of crying easily later.” Madam wiped her tears.

But Song Ruqi couldn’t hold back.

Song Ci said in a deep voice, ”If you keep crying, you won’t be able to seek justice for your child. This miscarriage event is not that simple. If you don’t stay clear-headed and provide clues quickly, I’m afraid this matter will truly pass as an accident.”

Every case has a golden time, including her case. Look, a few hours have passed, and there’s no trace at the pavilion where the incident occurred.

Though Song Ci’s words were harsh, everyone understood that now was not the time for sorrow and tears.

Madam also persuaded a few words. Song Ruqi bit her lip hard and then began to recount the event.

When Lin Qing asked about the heaviness in her lower abdomen, she said, ”It was very heavy. I thought this was normal, and the inner clothes didn’t appear to be red, so I didn’t mind. But in the evening, I felt somewhat anxious and couldn’t sleep after waking. As for the fall...”

Song Ruqi recalled carefully, lifted the quilt, and touched her calf, saying, ”It suddenly cramped up with a sharp pain, and I couldn’t stand.”

Lin Qing rolled up her pants, saw the area she mentioned, and it was bruised black and blue. Her face involuntarily changed a bit.
