Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

This skill, Wen Yu had already prepared for some time. Creating an Esoteric Level skill scroll is indeed not difficult for Wen Yu now. And this time, by happenstance, Victor independently developed a trash skill; fortunately, he decided to give Victor this wind-type Esoteric Level skill scroll to broaden Victor’s combat style.

Being able to fight, withstand, and heal—this is Wen Yu’s ultimate positioning for his soul pets. Each one sent out should be capable of holding their own; like Victor, who just could contribute as a support in the frontlines, Wen Yu was not quite satisfied with that.

After resolving Victor’s issues, Wen Yu turned his gaze to Star.

Star’s eighth skill is just a mediocre augmentation Esoteric Level skill, with effects of passively strengthening the body’s defense capabilities, similar to Cyclops’ Death Resistance—more like a skill that adds icing on the cake.

However, for Star, Wen Yu indeed has a better choice.

He flipped through his space ring and found a certain skill scroll from the bottom layer of the space ring.

Steel Soul (Species-specific Esoteric Level, Passive Skill): Forge the body in iron, cast the soul in steel! After learning this skill, the host can enhance their body’s quality limit and defense capabilities through absorbing metal elements and can extract energies within rare metal elements to enhance their species innate talent.

This skill Wen Yu acquired many years ago, but Star’s skill system is nearing completion. This Steel Soul, at Level 7, fell behind compared to True Dragon Golden Body, but at Level 8, this skill scroll finally shines bright again.

Limit Breaking Abilities are stronger than ordinary Esoteric Level skills; this is a consensus. Hence, Wen Yu once again pulled Star back through Soul Realm space and replaced the skill for Star. Lastly, it’s about the Faceless and Luo Luo.

The Faceless’ skill was quite simple, still another Deification—in fact, Wen Yu thought this Deification was somewhat wasteful, as most of the time the Faceless acts like Wen Yu, with skills identical to Wen Yu. Considering an empty skill slot is still empty, Wen Yu hence added another Deification for the Faceless.

Better than nothing.

As for the skill developed by Luo Luo, it’s still consistent with the essence of its species’ consciousness entity, and even a rare damaging ability!

Disaster of Mad Ants (Species-specific Esoteric Level, Active Ability) (ability derived from Heart of the Swarm) (Amalgamated Consciousness Entity exclusive skill) (Ant Tribe exclusive): I will defend the dignity of my tribe with my life! Once activated, the ant swarm under the tribe’s consciousness entity will go on a complete rampage! Body quality will increase tenfold, species innate talent tenfold, attacks will be supplemented with strong acids, debuff, curse... and more negative states, ignoring any defensive abilities. Upon death, there will be an extremely potent self-destruct (self-destruct damage depends on the enhanced body quality).

Meanwhile, the Ant Tribe’s breeding capability will be reduced tenfold, the effects of Refuge of Nurture (fourth skill) and Evolution (seventh skill) will be nullified.

Disaster of Mad Ants effect lasts one month, cannot be revoked halfway.

This skill should be Luo Luo’s main battle skill from now on. Although its exact power or the power of self-destruct are unknown, given the vast numbers of the Ant Tribe, Wen Yu believes this skill should be quite powerful.

Try it? Certainly not, a month’s price would affect the overall potential of the Ant Tribe, but overall, Wen Yu is quite satisfied with Luo Luo’s skill.

After sorting the skills of several soul pets, Wen Yu used Soul Connection to communicate with Number One, the sounds of Number One echoed in his mind.

The shattering of the Level Lock and promotion make no difference to Number One, who is at Level 12! Sadly, Wen Yu does not know how to cultivate Number One to enhance its power.

When originally contracted, Number One had this power, and now after a few years, Number One still hasn’t grown stronger...

Perhaps to a world will, several years are just passing matters.

The issue of Number One was simply brushed aside by Wen Yu. He perceives his newly born 8th Soul Realm, and after a while, he again sent a command to Mountain Kui.

”I need a mutant beast as my soul pet. The level isn’t important; skill potential should be strong. That’s the only condition, spread my order globally, and filter out qualified mutant creatures.”

”Yes, my lord.”

It’s not good to leave the 8th Soul Realm empty, for it means eight powerful skills. With these skills combined with the old ones, you can’t predict how many strong skill combinations might be born.

As for how to find...

The entire tiered battlefield is Wen Yu’s domain, Wen Yu here is equivalent to the heavens! Heaven send the divine decree, who dares not follow?

Do you really think the Soul Puppet Legion is just for show?

Besides, those are Wen Yu’s 8th Soul... I guess for some mutant creatures, that’s very tempting too?

...

Wen Yu’s public recruitment of the 8th Soul naturally had remarkable repercussions.

When Mountain Kui spread the word, the entire tiered battlefield’s mutant creature community instantly boiled over!

A series of recent events indeed caused the tiered battlefield to echo with Wen Yu’s name once more. Despite being reclusive for more than a decade and missing for over three years, Wen Yu’s sudden reappearance, the influence it caused, and its pressure on the belonging of the gods still reminded the tiered battlefield of the reality that their ability to find a place to thrive and multiply was due to whom!

For a moment, almost all mutant creatures who deemed themselves capable headed to the main city of the tiered battlefield, attempting to pass the first screening organized by Mountain Kui.

Some interesting phenomena occurred—several Vermilion Bird War Gods from Yanjing notified Lin Haifeng and decisively participated in the selection. Even some mutant creature factions once loyal to the demigods chose to switch sides!

These minor details don’t enter Wen Yu’s vision, and the harvest... temporarily seems rather small...

Originally thought that among the tiered battlefield, there should be one or two mutant creatures with enough potential, but after three days of open selection, the list reported by Mountain Kui didn’t meet any of Wen Yu’s requirements.

It’s not that they aren’t strong, but Wen Yu’s requirements are too high.

At least with three Esoteric Levels, Limit Breaking Abilities, Conceptual Skills...

The above three key indicators are very challenging for mutant creatures without skill replacement means; thus, among the many mutant creatures on the tiered battlefield, none suitable for Wen Yu’s 8th Soul could be found.

Wen Yu can only temporarily set this matter aside and concentrate on clearing the remnants of the demigod’s forces.

According to Wen Yu’s estimation, within about a week, all the demigod’s remaining nails in the tiered battlefield will surely be uprooted entirely!
