Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The birth of the collective consciousness is both illusory and vague.

This process is full of coincidences and miracles. In fact, the Sea King does not know exactly how he was born, he only knows that the moment he opened his eyes, the entire Sea King Tribe became an extension of his will.

”For the collective consciousness, a single individual within the tribe is both independent and collective... This logic is hard to explain; it’s roughly like having two different personalities existing simultaneously. Usually, the external expression is the individual personality, but once the collective consciousness intervenes, the entire tribe will only have one will and one voice.”

This is the same as Luo Luo.

Without Luo Luo’s command, each Ant lives its own life; however, when Luo Luo exerts the authority of the collective consciousness, these Ants seem like components of the collective consciousness, each performing their duties with strict obedience!

This command possesses some absolute nature—the collective consciousness is the true god of the subordinate tribe! The sole controller! This is the terrifying aspect of the collective consciousness—one is infinite...

”But Ibira is different.”

The Sea King said so.

...

After the Sea King was born, the progress of the Level Lock was at the Early Stage Level 4, and the total number of Sea King Clan just exceeded one hundred.

The Sea King awakened very early—this is a good thing, also a destiny calling. Therefore, the Sea King Tribe became the dominant life group that rules the ocean today.

At least, Wen Yu thinks so.

”But in the beginning, our clan’s situation was much worse than it is now.”

”At that time, the whole ocean was full of danger and crisis. Without the pressure from the Demon Tribe, the mutant creatures in the ocean fought separately, dividing territories, and the Sea King Tribe, due to our small number of clansmen and lack of individual combat power from super life forms, could only stay at the ancestral land, barely sustaining life.”

”When I was just born, my skills were not strong, and I didn’t have the ability to change my clan’s situation at that time. But when I extended my will, I was surprised to discover there was another distant, scattered Sea King Tribe in another area, and so I initiated a summons.”

”That was Ibira.”

”But you said Ibira is different from other Sea King Tribe...”

”Yes, he pretends...”

The Sea King said so.

”I don’t know for what reason, he does not fall under the control of the collective consciousness, but when I first summoned him, Ibira did not show anything irregular.”

”He followed my command, quickly returned to the ancestral land, appeared before me, and at that time, I saw some possibilities in Ibira.”

”What possibilities?”

”The possibility of dominating the ocean!”

...

Fifty meters long body, slippery skin, fierce dragon head, eight black tentacles extending from the lower body, swaying endlessly.

His every glance can freeze a region of seawater, his every tail swing can stir up vast ocean currents, his sharp teeth seem like countless javelins of varying lengths. When Ibira returned to this area, besides bringing deterrence to foreign races, there was an unstoppable ambition of the Sea King Tribe!

”At that time, I came to understand there is such a thing as breaking limits in this world.”

Level 4 Ibira already had a physical quality of over ten thousand points. Relying on power far exceeding Peak Level 4, Ibira naturally became the ruler of this region, and then the Sea King Tribe began to expand, until Ibira directly killed the most powerful mutant creature in the Pacific Ocean Region, he was then crowned with the name Sea King!

”Ibira’s power was too strong, during that phase, Ibira meant invincible in the deep sea!”

”So I conceived an idea to transform Our clan into Ibira’s form—you know, no one can resist the temptation of power.”

”I used Ibira’s flesh and blood as a blueprint to transform three Ibira Sea King Tribe individuals, yet in this process, I discovered the growth patterns of our clan.”

”Just like you said to me just now?”

”Yes...”

”Their growth requires too much resource supply, even with Ibira the deep sea ruler, two of the three Ibira Sea King Clan members still starved to death, therefore, I realized this Ibira form absolutely cannot become the complete form of our Sea King Tribe.”

”I halted this plan.”

”Initially, Ibira didn’t express anything; he just continued to guard our clan with the other complete Ibira Sea King. I managed internal affairs, while Ibira handled external matters, and there was no change.”

”As our clan’s territory expanded continuously, I kept searching for a more suitable complete form for Our clan, but unfortunately, I never found it.”

”Thus, it continued until the Level Lock of Level 5 shattered, and the Demon Realm’s Gate opened.”

”Things changed.”

...

The issue still lies in the relationship between the collective consciousness and the tribe.

The world sees only the unyielding decision of the collective consciousness, only sees them commanding the tribe, standing high, like Luo Luo—in Wen Yu’s eyes, the Ant Tribe under Luo Luo is not his own soul pet...

They are merely Luo Luo’s weapon, Luo Luo’s tool.

Yet undeniable is the fact that they are still independent individuals, with their own thoughts, their own ways of thinking.

Therefore, we make an assumption—when a single individual under a collective consciousness can somewhat break away from the control of the collective consciousness, how should his relationship with the collective consciousness be...

Continue to submit? Or go far away? Or rise in rebellion?

This depends on the power comparison between the two sides...

When the Demon Realm’s Gate opened, and Ibira noticed the supply of food became abundant, he returned to the ancestral land and told Sea King his thoughts.

”Ibira transformation plan should continue.”

”No, Ibira transformation plan should stop! Because I found a form more suitable for our clansmen!”

The Sea King said so, then a special Sea King Tribe individual walked out from the ancestral land.

A three-meter tall sturdy body, upright legs, four arms, fierce tusks, light blue scales—exactly the current appearance of the Sea King Tribe.

”Weak trash...”

Ibira looked disdainfully at the Sea King Tribe in this form, dismissive of the power it showed.

The power of this Sea King Clan member was naturally incomparable to Ibira... However, this matter was not to be compared in such a way.

Ibira was naturally special, but the newly born Ibira Sea King was not so special like Ibira.
