Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”So, about Wen Yu... we just talked about him too. You know this, my Lord: on the tiered battle ground, what I say doesn’t count. Wen Yu is the one who really calls the shots. I can pull some small tricks, sure, but once it’s something major, Wen Yu is a hurdle I just can’t get past.”

”Honestly, the reason I came to see you this time is to ask how we’re supposed to deal with Wen Yu.”

After Fang Yuqiong finished asking, he stood up straight again, head lowered, as if waiting for Earth’s will to dispel his doubts.

”About that...”

Earth’s will pondered for a moment, but deep down it already had the urge to start cursing.

How am I supposed to admit I’ve got basically no way to handle him? Wouldn’t that be throwing away my authority right in front of a subordinate...

So it could only explain it like this.

”I can’t exert much power on the tiered battle ground, and Wen Yu will never appear on Earth, so...”

So this problem... you’ll have to handle it yourself...

Everyone here is smart. Earth’s will originally thought that with a slight hint, Fang Yuqiong would grasp the meaning between the lines. But unexpectedly, Fang Yuqiong raised his head, putting on a dumb, blank look.

”So what?”

”So, I don’t have any particularly good way to deal with him.”

For a moment, everyone fell completely silent.

...

”Uh, my Lord, how about this—if I say I have a way to trick Wen Yu into coming back to Earth, could you take care of Wen Yu, that troublemaker?”

”No. On that point...”

”That’s enough, my Lord. This isn’t something we should discuss too much.”

A certain premonition made the Demigod suddenly speak up, cutting off the explanation Earth’s will had been about to give.

The Demigod didn’t understand why Fang Yuqiong would suddenly bring up this topic. Maybe he really was confident he could trick Wen Yu back to Earth, or maybe...

Anyway, not talking about this was still the best option.

Yet at this moment, Fang Yuqiong’s expression suddenly changed. He slowly straightened his body, looked at Earth’s will, then at the Demigod.

”So, what’s the story... behind that?”

His voice now held less of the earlier respect and more cold detachment. Right then, seeing Fang Yuqiong’s face grow increasingly firm, the Demigod’s heart clenched out of nowhere.

”We’ll talk about this outside.”

The Demigod suddenly came to his senses. He reached out, wanting to drag Fang Yuqiong away, but Fang Yuqiong deftly slipped free of his grasp and turned his gaze back to Earth’s will.

”My Lord, aren’t you even curious what method I have to trick Wen Yu onto Earth?”

”My Lord, compared to my grandfather, Wen Yu’s threat to you should be greater, right? Now that I say I have a way to lure Wen Yu to Earth, how come you suddenly refuse to say a word about it?”

”My Lord, I’m guessing... you’re unable to make a move against Wen Yu, aren’t you?”

Three consecutive questions left Earth’s will utterly silent. At that moment, the light sphere pulsed faintly; Fang Yuqiong could even sense the sudden surge in the concentration of Origin Energy in the origin of the Earth’s nucleus. He simply waited quietly—waited for Earth’s will to react...

He was the executor of this plan... but he was also the lab rat inside this plan.

Once those three questions were asked, even if Earth’s will were an idiot, it would know something had gone off track. It either had to move cleanly and swiftly to eliminate Fang Yuqiong—Fang Yuqiong dies, the probing ends, the plan fails.

Or else...

Exactly what was happening now...

”Kill him!”

Earth’s will spoke decisively, while a massive surge of Origin Energy poured into the Demigod’s body. In just a short span of time, the Demigod’s aura was already infinitely close to a Level 11 powerful expert!

Yet Fang Yuqiong only smiled faintly at this.

”So, looks like you really can’t directly attack, huh. You can only lend out Origin Energy and forcibly manufacture a defective Level 11 powerful expert. Mm, just a guess—but there’s a way to verify it.”

As Fang Yuqiong spoke, he rummaged through his space ring. In the span of an instant, something new appeared in his hand.

It was a pouch...

The pouch wasn’t big, but its surface squirmed constantly, as if something inside were repeatedly bulging against it. Fang Yuqiong swiftly opened the pouch. The next second, a violent howling wind roared in all directions!

One streamlined spindle-shaped object after another shot out of the pouch at high speed. They floated in midair, and in the blink of an eye, a tightly sealed defensive line spread out around Fang Yuqiong’s body. Only then did the aura fluctuations around the Demigod finally steady.

Yet the expected attack never came. The Demigod only stared at Fang Yuqiong with grim eyes, his gaze fixed on the spindle-shaped objects around Fang Yuqiong.

The aura emanating from those spindle-shaped objects was so intense that even the Demigod in his current state felt his scalp prickle.

”Sentinel Type III—an offering to Mother Earth, and also a greeting Lord Wen Yu entrusted me to deliver to you.”

As his words fell, accompanied by a faint hum, all the Sentinel Type III units simultaneously turned their heads, their sharp tips aiming at the Demigod standing off to the side.

Fang Yuqiong’s own strength, of course, was no match for the buffed-up Demigod... But with the Sentinels, everything was different.

First, kill the Demigod. If during this process Earth’s will still doesn’t act, then there’s an eighty percent chance it proves Earth’s will truly can’t act at all!

Then use the Sentinels to seal off Earth’s will, just like what the Sentinels once did at the Origin Pool.

As for killing Earth’s will—forget it, that’s impossible. No matter how sky-defying Wen Yu may be, at Level 8 he can’t possibly carve up Earth’s will. But using the Sentinels to block Earth’s will’s communication channels with the outside world, making sure it can never find any helpers again—that is a form of imprisonment and sealing.

If at that point Earth’s will still doesn’t make a move... then this is indeed something worth Wen Yu gambling on!

”So, goodbye... This time, let’s skip taking any group photos.”

The Demigod watched Fang Yuqiong wave at him. In the next second, a razor-sharp, icy gleam flashed before the Demigod’s eyes!

...

The shift in tone was brutally sudden. From the moment Fang Yuqiong took the Sentinel Type III out of his spatial tools to the moment they launched their attack on the Demigod, everything happened in the span of a blink.

Earth’s will was in complete mental disarray, seemingly unable to believe the situation had twisted so drastically in an instant. At that moment, it genuinely didn’t know how to respond!

Until a clear Spiritual Fluctuation sounded beside it.

”Hurry! Pull the Demigod back!”

Demon Spirit’s voice was full of panic—he obviously knew exactly what those things Fang Yuqiong had released were, and how terrifying their Lethality was.

If any carbon copy of Demon Spirit were here, this situation would have flipped. But in reality, none of Demon Spirit’s carbon copies can pass through the Demon Realm’s Gate restricted by a Level Lock!

What’s here now is only a ”transmitter” Demon Spirit fashioned using Creation Energy...
